I don't recommend, Casa Clare! Counselors or at least mine was never around, Having rules is one thing, we're adults treat us like adults!! The food we get is expired stail and hard! And If you have health issues and… you ever need to go to ER or call 911 don't go to Casa Clare!! Because they won't take you!!!
I was angry and my life was a mess! The staff at Casa were caring and so helpful! I owe my life to them! One year later and I am sober and loving life! The things you learn stay with you forever! 4-7-8!
I went to Casa and was so surprised by how wonderful it was. We really all become a family. I remember 2 girls were pregnant and worried about their babies. A girl named Haley was one of them pregnant girls and today… she's been sober for almost 2 yrs. She had her beautiful son and is doing amazing. Has her own apartment and just doing such great things in her and her son's life. I know Casa Clare and friendships she had helped her so much. The counselors really care about you and you can feel that. I'm so proud of so many people I meet there. Thank you Casa for all you do for so many lives
Casa Clare took me in the same week I called for help, after not showing up for 2 prior intake appointments. I was 38 weeks pregnant, I was deep in addiction, homeless, and lost. This program not only got me sober and… offered support, they are the reason I was able to keep custody of my baby and continue to thrive almost 2 years later. They helped make postings on local support groups to help me gather needed baby supplies, let me bring my newborn to group sessions, and still to this day offer updated letters of completion and support. The counselors are able to connect with residents, as they have fought their own personal demons which makes sobriety feel so much more attainable. Thanks Casa Clare, I wouldn't be an independent, sober mama that's about to graduate college if it weren't for your support and guidance lifting me up from rock bottom. You guys truly helped to save mine and my babies life. ❣️
I stopped a physical fight from breaking out because everyone has trauma right. the house manager Amber chose not to come out of the office and de-escalate the situation. I take accountability for my actions and should… have stayed out of it. I was discharged because I allegedly "made a mocking face at other clients". 5 other women were forced to leave as well because of they're involvement. It is sad that I did not get another chance or the opportunity to agree to some type of behavioral contract which I would have gladly done. I was and am still committed to my recovery. Lesson learned.
They are not interested in helping anyone with addiction or mental disorders - my daughter was not even there a week and I had to give her the news that her Grandpa was put in hospice - she was upset and kicked a chair… outside - discharged her for kicking a chair - when they know she is diagnosed with BPD … how about helping them cope rather than punishing ?!
They focus more on enforcing their rules than treating addiction disorder,, in my opinion. In that I mean that I received 3 disciplinary reviews.; 2 for forgetting to report that I had completed my chore(I did do the… chores) and the 3rd was for leaving group without permission as I was uncontrollably crying and felt the need to leave. They told me if I received a 4th I would be discharged. They are very punitive. I know how to keep my areas clean out here in the world and I know how to keep a job. All they had to do was look to see that I did what I was supposed to but they chose to punish me instead. Some of the staff are very condescending.... As a 49 year old recovering addict who has no extensive criminal record and understands the basics of how to maneuver this world, this place just wasn't for me. If you've never been able to follow rules and live with any modicum of success and need the extensive discipline, then this would be the place to be. It's just not for a self respecting adult who merely needs help with a chemical dependance. The administrator, Mike, comes off as controlling and egotistical in my opinion. I spoke from my heart about my thoughts in one of his groups and he treated me as though he did not like what I had to say. My time there was good for getting some clean time under my belt but I've chose to explore other avenues that are more beneficial to me, such as outpatient, etc...
I went volantarily and i would not recommend it for someone that wants to be treated as an adult seeking help. The staff was rude and made you do insulting exercises against other people trying to get help which created… a deep distrust among residents. You could not have any snacks or drinks in your room and were punished if you did. The food was terrible and mostly outdated donated. They concentrated most about cleaning chores. I went there for help, not to learn how to clean. It was a very unhelpful experience.
Thanks to God and the staff at Casa Clare I was given the opportunity to celebrate 5 years this past July.
I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for this facility. The staff members truly cared and wanted to see me succeed. Karyne is an amazing counselor! This was my first attempt at sobriety…I am currently 2 years and 4 months… sober and have an amazing life! Thank you Casa Clare
great facility. Counselors genuinely care about you and want what’s best for you.
If you want treatment for self esteem go there, but if you need real treatment for real problems I would NOT recommend going here. Their petty rules are pathetic.
On my daughter’s behalf and mine I want to sincerely thank everyone at Casa Clare Appleton location. I want to send a special thank you to one of the counselors Emily. She went above and beyond in providing support and… assistance for my daughter while at Casa Clare. I can not thank you enough nor express with words how grateful I truly am. It’s awesome to see that people still care.
Forever thankful to Casa Clare for my mom’s 9 years of sobriety
I am so grateful Casa Clare and Apricity Services saved me from the grips of alcoholism 9 years (and counting) ago. They were able to treat my disease, the trauma I endured and my concurring illnesses. I was so… impressed by the knowledge and dedication of the staff, as well as their ability to keep me safe, follow procedures and anticipate my needs. I was grateful my children could come and visit me in a beautiful and safe environment. I would highly recommend Casa Clare and Apricity services for addiction treatment and sober living.
Prior to coming to Casa Clare, a division of Apricity, for residential treatment, I was in active addiction for about fourteen years. I am 29 and began using at 14. Toward the end of my active using, my life was in… danger. I was living in my car with a pitbull, choosing drugs over food, and my health was rapidly declining. I absolutely hated my life and myself. Luckily, I looked up treatment facilities in my area and set myself up to enter Casa following detox. Apricity has without a doubt given me life back and better than I could have ever imagined. In my first thirty days, the phenomenal staff at casa and structured groups set the groundwork for digging into areas of my life that needed healing. Additionally, they gave me a plethora of coping skills to utilize once I was able to re enter the world. Following my initial 30 days, I stayed to be what is called a 3.1 which gave me some privileges to leave the building on passes. I am so glad they offer this option because I think most of my growth stemmed from here. The first 30 days gave me the skills I needed but as a 3.1, my ability to use my skills was tested. They truly set the groundwork for my recovery with tremendous support, excellent education provided during groups, and their sense of compassion. Apricity helped me discover a person I had no idea I could ever be, a person I’ve actually grown to love. The judgement free environment, coupled with hearing other addicts stories and ongoing counselor support, saved my life. I don’t think my journey into recovery would have been something I found without them. Recovery for me means total abstinence from any mind altering substances and also that my mindset is one of growth. Recovery has been an opportunity for me to expand my interests, develop my personality outside of trauma and using and to acclimate to the real world. Even the chores we do while in treatment helped me because I genuinely had not one clue how to be a functional adult. I attribute much of my success thus far to Apricity. The only things I’d want to say to my counselors are that I think they are incredible. The house managers are also phenomenal, supportive, caring individuals who really want the best for clients. We all know statistics aren’t kind to addicts and counselors and house managers alike fight against those odds anyway. For me, it meant life or death and through Apricity’s services, I was able to find a meaningful life. Not only did they help me learn about addiction and find ways to cope with it, they helped me pave a safer path for my future by giving me an opportunity to enter the Casa Clare Apartment Program (CCAP) for housing. With their aid, I have gained the confidence to publicly share my story and recover loudly. I am eternally grateful to this organization and everything they do. The staff are genuine people who truly care about their jobs and their passion does not go unnoticed. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be a part of their program and I would encourage anyone struggling to reach out for their services.
Casa Clare doesnt even deserve not even one star! I spoke with the President Jolie about drugs being brought in here and NOTHING has been done! They are fully aware of the person involved!!! I'm notifying authorities… and the state because they have let illicit drugs into the facility and have done absolutely nothing except say. This has never happened before.
