About Middlesex Recovery – Salem

Middlesex Recovery operates from 6 Manor Parkway in Salem. The site sits in Rockingham County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Exeter, Hampstead and Raymond. New Hampshire draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.

Detox and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

CARF Accredited RehabCARFAccreditedAn international accreditor of rehabilitation and behavioural health services. Assessors visit the facility and review its practice against published standards. Voluntary, and renewed every one to three years.
Joint Commission Accredited RehabJoint CommissionAccreditedAn independent US body that inspects healthcare organisations against national safety and quality standards. Accreditation is voluntary, costs the facility money, and is renewed every three years.
SAMHSA ListedSAMHSAListedThe facility appears in the federal treatment locator maintained by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. It is a record that the facility exists and reports its services, not an assessment of quality.

Detox and Rehab Services at Middlesex Recovery

Withdrawal management covers alcohol, benzodiazepine, cocaine, methamphetamine and opioid dependence and is handled on site rather than referred elsewhere. Stepping down into continuing care happens with the same team, so there is no second intake to sit through. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Buprenorphine and naltrexone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Assessment decides the level of care, so ask what that involves and how quickly it can happen.

Middlesex Recovery Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 6 Manor Parkway, Salem, NH 03079, in Rockingham County. The catchment reaches Exeter, Hampstead and Raymond. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

I came here years ago and made the mistake of going somewhere else after a little while to try something different out. I’m back and even though things have clearly changed the people at the clinic seem incredibly… friendly and it’s nice to see the old staff back in the office. I feel more comfortable here than I did at other places that claimed to offer more services but could never actually follow through with any of it. As of right now this place is basically saving my life so I’ll leave it at that.

First I will start out by saying that I have been going here now for approximately 7 years. In the beginning I wasn't quite sure about the place but they hired a Pacific doctor Who is the greatest doctor they ever had.… Lately this place has been just making poor decisions one after another. First I will start out by saying that there is no drug rehabilitation whatsoever at all except writing you a prescription. A new doctor has stepped into play and he's decided to go in and do things his way. Actually let me take that back I don't know if it's the doctor. Some company from Texas bought this place you know some rich guy that just wants to make a buck. The staff there don't have any experience whatsoever at all with drug Rehabilitation and not even qualified to be in the position that they're in. Cuz I have been to many of these types of doctors in the past and no how things should be. When I read this lady story about her son that passed away from an overdose because these people wouldn't even call her back it breaks my heart I really feel for this poor woman. This could have been prevented but instead it was ignored. So if you are thinking about bringing a loved one into this establishment because of an opiate addiction or any other drug addiction please look elsewhere you will not be happy. I will tell you that a lot of us now are going to be leaving there. I sat down with the coordinator at this office and rest of my concerns about the decisions that they were making and they really didn't care anything about it. It is truly sad. I hate to see these kinds of things happen to people in their businesses I don't take pleasure and leaving this review but too many things have unfolded in the last few months and finally I've made my decision to move on. All right

At first we loved this place. My son started suboxone and was violently ill because of the films - they made him vomit. We tried again and again and then asked for sublocade instead. No one ever returned my email and my… son died of fentanyl poisoning a few weeks later. There isn’t enough follow through or services offered in addition to medication. And no one cared enough to answer an email. So he died. Isaiah 4/2/2022 Forever 19

I never write reviews, but my experience today prompted me to share. My psychiatrist for the last 7 years has just recently retired, so I made an appointment with Middlesex Recovery's Salem, NH office. I've been very… stable in my recovery for a long time, so I wasn't sure of what to expect. Thankfully, I was extremely happy upon leaving my first appointment. The office assistant was so friendly and welcoming from the very moment I walked in. I really wish I could remember her name, but she has an upbeat personality and she speaks to you as if she's known you forever. My appointment was with Christopher G. Carter, MS, PA-C and even though I've only met with him once, I can tell that he's hands down, phenomenal. He's really personable and made me feel like I could talk to him about literally anything. It's hard to explain, but he's just one of those people who have a really great vibe. He also has an awesome sense of humor—which I think is beneficial to have for someone in his profession. I went into my appointment today not knowing what to expect and also a little upset with having to switch providers, but I left with such a positive outlook. Whether you've been sober for 10 years, or 10 days, the people working at Middlesex Recovery in Salem, NH truly care and are there to help people and it really shows.
