I was excited to finally find a place that was different from other mental health hospitals, but I was mistaken. I hate to say it but I ended up picking up my daughter last night after only half a day. What I thought… would be like a healing retreat home was just like any other sterile mental health hospital with padlocks on the doors. The “gym” was 2 weight benches in a hot garage. The “nature trail” was a circle in the field out front. School cafeteria food with zero veggies and no alternative dairy products for someone with lactose intolerance. Her room didn’t have a light or an outlet for her cpap. When I called to talk to the director he was like who really eats veggies with their meals which is laughable that he would even say that. My daughter has only been in one other residential program which was for eating issues, which she has worked really hard to find a balance with. It’s not an issue for her anymore, but it would be if there’s no healthy food options. Anyhow, I said that part of healing is taking care of the whole person, which is what I thought would be happening in a place that advertises Reiki, yoga, art, and music therapy. And then he started backpedaling and trying to defend the program. He was like we did have a vegetable with dinner tonight. There was a side salad! Anyhow she’s home & she’s going back to her other outpatient program. Ridiculous!!!
Wasn’t here for more than a day but felt this place did a lot of false advertising. This is not a retreat it’s a regular inpatient mental health program. The first patient I met said it’s so incredibly boring as I… looked around I realized how bored everyone looked. the fitness center was like 3 weight machines in a hot garage and you got the option of walking in a circle around the property. I expected maybe some healthier options for meals other patients in group were describing the meals as prison food (no veggies sometimes fruit I highly suggest the program invests in a meal service with well balanced meals) the whole place kind of made me feel like a prisoner. I felt the program could be managed more efficiently. When this was brought to the directors attention he responded defensively and started back peddling. I’m really happy I decided to leave. Like I said I wasn’t even there for a day so take this with a pinch of salt. I hope you guys are able to figure it out.
I came to Hillside in July of 26’ and let me just say this place is paradise. As a 20 year old with no family these people made me feel at home instantly. They welcomed me with open arms and even though the program is… only a few months old- they helped me recover in just 2 weeks of time. I want to thank the management, BHTs, and clinical staff, for not just making me feel at home, but for helping me continue and better my recovery. God bless Hillside and its staff- definitely gets a 5 star from me. Love, Liam
Hillside wellness center is an excellent place to start a new beginning I was there two weeks and within those weeks I gained some rightful information to help me live a better life sober and with my Mh diagnosis the… staff is great and very friendly
Ownership couldn’t be a more caring and responsible collective of folks. Although a newer facility, these people’s hearts are in the right place!
Hillside Wellness Center truly stands out for the quality of care they provide. The staff is compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in each person’s recovery. The smaller, family-like environment makes a… huge difference, allowing for personalized treatment and support. I highly recommend Hillside to anyone seeking residential mental health care for themselves or a loved one.
Facility has a very homey feel, with a lot of amenities. Therapists are very nice, and staff genuinely cares about your wellbeing

I just want to say I appreciate hillside wellness so much for what they did for my friend. He was having a mental health crisis and they were so thoughtful, understanding and compassionate. The intake process was super… smooth, they understood everything my friend was going through and they treated with kindness and respect. When he came home he was stable doing well and has been good ever since!
