Anderson-Oconee-Pickens MH Center – Anderson Detox and Rehab Services

Anderson-Oconee-Pickens MH Center – Anderson delivers intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Establishing what happens after the program ends is worth doing early. Ask how the program handles someone who has been through treatment before.

The focus here is on one side rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Cost, travel and waiting time are all worth weighing together. Ask whether family can be involved and at what stage.

Ive been going there for 4 years. I used to be so bad off I couldnt be a person. I couldnt function as one. My therapist helped me think about things I already knew I just couldnt connect. Thanks to her my issues have… been dissolving. Not completely. However you cant heal overnight or in a week's time. Brains just dont allow it. It just depends on the severity.

Such great folks here. The receptionist desk is full of helpful women, the facility is secure, and well kept with nice decor, both inside and outside. I haven't experienced the adult facilities, but my 8 year old has… been seeing a counselor there for play therapy since he was 6, Allycia G, and she is wonderful. Such a blessing to see someone in this field that genuinely loves their job, and is very gifted at it. She has helped him so much, I can't thank her enough. They have been a Godsend. Highly recommend.

They do what I feel is their dead level best 👌 to hope me try and cope with and live with my mental health issues. I'm failing because my mind has been put through a blender. But they and I are trying because it takes 2… to tango.

My granddaughter went in on 3/18/26 her mom was told that the psychiatrist would be there to see her. That he was making a special trip to see her, because she was in inpatient at AN medical ( which was sorry) they… switched her medicine around and was worse. So she had came just to get dr to switch her medications again. The Dr. was not there, so that put her in to see the NP. This NP did not read any of my Granddaughter’s history. She came in and told my daughter that my granddaughter for fine and had no issues. She actually threw my daughter out of the room. She made things horrific for my daughter when she got home, my granddaughter was out of control and thought she could be in charge . Seems to me the your entire mental health help SUCKS in Anderson. Y’all need to go back to school and learn how to deal with mental health. Also a Dr. or Nurse needs to read a patient’s Chart before they see a patient and know what issues they are having before passing opinions. Y’ ALL NEED TO DO BETTER!!!

went here in an attempt to get a psychological evaluation with my father, or at least get referred to someone who could do that. Spent about 20 minutes talking to some nasty lady who questioned me having autism and not… taking us seriously (i was diagnosed with that years ago) and eventually referred us to a therapist which was helpful but did not give us the service we were looking for. Therapist was very kind tho

Dr Carter is very rude and disrespectful. She doesn't listen to you when you're trying to explain about your child. She has no compassion and is often very unkind. She should retire.

I understand now why this clinic has 1.8 stars. They’re incredibly difficult to work with and the amount of people/hoops they make you jump through is enough to make you want to not see them.

My child is experiencing an array of things. We'll focus on outbursts and no memory of them. Yesterday she was baited into an answer by a question with how to answer in it. "When you laugh. Is it a way to calm you down?… To trick your brain into thinking you're happy?" My child answered yes. When I asked her if she even remembers laughing. She says no. So, how would she know why she is laughing if she can't even remember doing it. My child also threatened to kill us all. But, wasn't discussed, she'll see us in 30 days if we're all still alive then. I was also bullied while at this visit. I was talking nice about my child, "when things are good they're great. Her and I can have real conversations." Angie uses this as a, "well, you need to understand she is a child. She needs to be in the child role." Totally twisting my words. Saying "well you said you have nobody to talk to." That in no way means I lean on my children to carry that for me. We talk about, goals, future, Future employment, travel. Real life things. Mature conversations. Is what I was meaning. My youngest never wants to move out. Which is fine. But, me trying to shed positive light on mine and her relationship became and attack where I was also told I worry about being my child's friend more than I do her Mom. If they can't solve the problem they will attempt to attack you so you stop trying to help your child. But, hand you another med for your basket for the next 30 days. If y'all didn't wanna help my kid. Just say that.

I asked them for help in 2016 and Eyvonne told me bipolar in GA wasn't the same as it was in SC. I had just moved to SC at the time. The next 5 years I had other treatment but was being evicted and had been… discriminated at by prisma so they were dropping me and I had psychiatric professional refer me during the pandemic when Eyvonne discriminated once again and refused to help Me. I'm unsure if she had someone tell her to treat me like crap or if she herself doesn't like white women or what but she's definitely someone you don't need to deal with. Choose someone else anyone or anywhere else I promise you this lady will never be for you but always against you and your mental health needs you to be selectictive with people who care for you

Worst experience here they violate your privacy and could care less on patient and family who care for the patient all they care about is giving pills they get to go home and not worry about patients after they do their… hours of work while the family is dealing with everyday they won’t care about what your concerns are they say they are the best doctors they have no empathy what so ever supervisor as well could care less about my concerns towards care for my loved one

My first experience with getting mental help and it has been a VERY disappointing one. Calls, texts, and emails were never responded to. My therapist (I don't wanna name drop) was great when she was around. However, she… hardly ever was. Missed multiple appointments, rarely responded to emails and was just generally unreliable to get in contact with. I would NOT recommend this place if you need genuine help.

I’ve been going here for years the staff always helps me even if my therapist (Nathan ) ain’t in . Speaking of Nathan he’s probably the best that they have , he is well down to earth and cares about his patients . Even… the nurses are very caring , so are the doctors there . We crack jokes and stuff to make it easier to deal with . From me there’s complaints

Terrible place for people with mental problems. First therapist I was venting and telling her my problems for an hour and she gave NO care at all. Only replying "yeah. Uh huh" They put me on a pill that was way more… than I should've been taking for like two years. Sucked the life out of me. Lost all interest in things I loved doing. The main doctor ask you the same questions every couple of months and rushes you out. My last therapist I had was okay I actually liked her. I moved therapies and weeks later wanted to go back to her. She said since you moved I can't see you anymore and did not try to help me. If you want to go to a good therapist go somewhere else.

This was the most humiliating and dehumanizing experience I've ever had. I was made fun of and laughed at by someone who's job was to make me feel safe and help me get the treatment I need. I would think twice before… making an appointment here.
