Brookes House – Hagerstown

I was a resident who ended up going back to jail unfortunately, the place has a great support system and I loved all the staff. I loved that they helped you get back on your feet and the owner was more than willing to… help people who were willing to help themselves. Unfortunately when I was sent back to jail my items were not secured by staff and numerous of my belonging were missing. I realized upon coming home because family picked up my items. I contacted management and they had said they were not responsible. I advise against bringing anything of value or something you cherish to the residential home incase something were to happen.

I haven’t been there personally , however ; my mom has been there and she speaks so highly of you guys . How that’s how she learned what family is , how she found herself , and healed in the process . I also watched the… video about Brooke and it broke my heart . I’m 19 years old and my drug of choice may not be as serious but knowing it can get to that point in a matter of minutes or even seconds scars me. My mom and I currently put in an application for me to go into your program , spoke to Lacey this morning and now I’m waiting for a call back . Definitely scared and nervous but I’m trusting the process and know in the back of my head this experience is going to change my life in all the ways I’ve ever imagined.

Hello iam not an addict i just actually watched your story on lifetime and that is how i found out about Brooke's House just want to say i think this is such a great thing to do in your daughters honor and memory to… help those that may need help with addictions and the struggles that they may face daily.May God continue to Bless you and your Family and Brooke's House ! I've never been here but I just saw the story on Movie Favorites by Lifetime and I'm very sorry that you lost your daughter Brooke she would've been very proud of the mission that her father has done may God continue to… bless this place and it's positive mission

Dearest Kevin, I just watched your piece on Lifetime and as I sit here with tears rolling I wanted to reach out and thank you. I’ve been going thru this heartache for the last few years, my daughter will not take any… help, “she don’t have a problem”, I recorded your story and I’m going to play it for her. I’m so sorry for your loss…I just needed to reach out… there is nothing here in Illinois, they are held 8 hours and released…drug addiction and mental illness are no joke but most state agencies are of no help. Brooke's House, is by far one of, if not the best treatment center I have ever had the honor of being a part of. I wish I had never left Hagerstown. There needs to be more placs like this one available to Southern… Maryland. Brooke's House deals with all aspects of addiction and the havoc it creates in the lives of those suffering from addiction. They truly care about and engage with their clients on a personal level. They gave me skills that still influence and guide my life choices. I'm forever grateful for everyone I met there.

I just watched your story on lifetime and I'm absolutely heartbroken about your daughter brook but the outcome of opening Brooks dream is absolutely beautiful I'm a recovering addict I've been clean now going on 10… years. I just want to say thank you for having a beautiful Facility to help people like me, like brook and so many others. You and your family are absolutely angels. SO thank you to brook for Brooks House. R.I.H. Brook your a angel watching over all of us who have been in a bad addiction in our lives.

I watched Brooke's story and just lost it. I couldn't stop crying. She would be so proud of what her daddy has done in her name. So sorry for your loss, heroin is pure evil. Keep up the good work please.

It’s so unfortunate that it seems the owner acts like he’s the only one that ever lost someone to addiction. Well, we all have stories and we’ve all lost someone and they’re all just as important but I can tell you I… would NEVER profit off of my daughter’s death….And or take advantage of the recovering women that come through his program! And certainly would not allow my daughter to call him daddy like he tells the girls to call him

I've never been here but the story warmed my heart 💜 I to had a daughter in addiction. Today 25 years later she is a counselor helping other people recover. So yes I understand the impact addiction has on the family and… others that care. 💜🙏🏽🙏🏽 Blessings to the family that kept their daughter promise ❣️🙏🏽 she would have been very proud..🙏🏽❣️💜🌹🌹

I just watched a show on this and it’s absolutely incredible I wish they had a house in Saint John NB for women we definitely need it here ❤️

I am a top rated estate sale company. Brooke's House approached me at one of my local sales and asked if they could do a clean out for donation of leftovers after the sale. I thought it thru and to save my client money… and time, to a good cause, I thought and I agreed. He brought in a crew of a dozen girl in at the end of the sale, set them loose in the house, I insisted they listen to my direction, and they proceeded to clean out the house. In the process one of them tore built in shelves off the basement wall leaving holes where the mollie bolts had been. My assistant went in the next day to vacuum and finish up and reported this to me. My client was livid, as was I. Over the course of a few days, I sent in my painter, who patched and painted, and I went in with another handyman to finish the painting the next day. My client was at that point unhappy and blamed me for the problem, of course. I asked Brooke's House to repay me for the work, which they did. I thought they made good on a mistake one of their girls with not much sense had made, it can happen. A month later I asked them to take donations from two additional jobs, which I was counting on. Normally my clients have to pay for clean out. They backed out on me 3 days prior to a huge estate sale, leaving me high and dry and missing out on the opportunity to have 1000's of dollars of quality donations. I had to scramble to deal with this. Brooke's House is not good for their word, and does not train and manage their girls as they need to . Be careful.
