Carey Counseling Center Inc – Paris

They didn’t even bother to return my call for scheduling appointment. I had been going there for years and they just completely abandoned me. But I found another place that actually does care about their patients.

I understand Carey has gone through a LOT of changes over the years, and Certainly for the better! I've struggled with mental health since childhood, no amount of medications seemed to work. Suddenly, after 13 YEARS of… different hospitals, different doctors and therapists, Carey Counseling was able to help with Proper diagnosis and treatment. The staff are super understanding, they work with you on pricing through SafetyNet services, the case work system can even help you find relief on housing and utilities if needed. They have different programs from AA to parenting classes, they're just great all around! Thank you Carey Counseling, for everything!

Called Paris office somewhat helpful, called 800 number and the lady answering straight out lied about the services offered and was extremely rude. Who does the hiring at this place? I would not take myself or a loved… one to this type of surroundings. Can you imagine what is said and done behind closed doors if they are this brazen and incompetent over the phone. I pray for all the individual's seeking assistance in this town.

They refused my granddaughter treatment because of insurance issues and I ask Hope for a 1800 number and and she was RUDE and refused to give it to me. Then yesterday I took my granddaughter for a meds appointment and… Hope told her she needed a code before she could be seen. Then she told my granddaughter she couldn’t be seen without an adult when I was right there. I drove her there I was in the lobby waiting for her mass appointment. So we just left. Hope treats the mental ill patient like there stupid and plays game with my granddaughter treatment when she really needs her appointment and medication.

Does anyone here ever actually answer the phones??? Ive called since before Christmas and have yet to have anyone answer. This is ridiculous. But yet they don't want you to miss call in dates.

They have helped my adult son in many ways and he certainly has benefited from their services. They have addressed my son's needs and continue to do so without hesitation. I'm thankful to have their services ❤️

Called every 30 minutes for 5 hrs and never got an answer or a call back

I took my son there when he was about 17 or so (he's 23 yrs old now) and they changed his life! He has autism and bipolar manic disorder. He wasn't diagnosed correctly at McKenzie Medical and the Dr here got him on the… correct medication. We no longer live in Tennessee but I hope they see this and know he's still doing great (except for the seizures) Thanks for helping my son when no one else had a clue! I'd like to add that the medicaid in Tennessee is horrible! No dental or vision coverage??? What's up with that?? and finding a good Dr, especially a psychiatrist is a huge task. Glad to be back in Ohio where my son and I both are well taken care of physically and mentally. And we both have dental and vision coverage.

I've have had very positive experiences here. They assess and evaluate what your needs are. I've had phone appointments during COVID and video chats that went very well. Michelle, a staff member is a Godsend and very… compassionate. She gave information of the whole process of where to begin in the programs. evaluation

Dr is great..staff is good and patience., update as of 2022, no qualified Dr is at this facility anymore !!!!

All they want to do is shove pills down your throat that you don't need no matter how many times you tell them that's not what you need.

They said they couldn't help me because I didn't live in there serviced counties. I live in stewart, and Paris is a lot closer than clarksville for me. I called to make an appointment and I couldn't even get someone on… the phone and I couldn't leave a message on sunday.

They are limited to the therapist that can help Veterans. They also don't have the capability of helping clients with extreme mental illnesses or many types of mental health issues. I also think they should have the… ability to do complete mental health evaluations for all diagnosis. The fact that they are limited so much I believe puts many patients at risk for untreated mental health issues and suicide. They also don't seem to have the best interest of the minor children at heart when they are given a signed Order of Protection from a judge. The staff is rude, judgemental and disrespectful. No one should be treated unfairly or different than the next just because the circumstances of the situation have changed. I'm completely not comfortable going to this treatment facility because of the way they treat people. The children in my custody are still clients and should be treated with respect that they received before.

If I could give them no stars, I would. Tonya is nice but one of the desk workers sent my wife home in tears because of her rudeness and refusal to give any information or service. I highly recommend finding a different… place to visit. Perhaps their other facilities have people who are actually willing to do their jobs instead of treating people who are seeking help like garbage. Absolutely would not recommend.

The staff steal cash from the clients and also steal food and other items etc. They mistreat them horribly.. I've reported this but no Action was taken .

The staff is all really nice and helpful. I see Brian, and he helps a lot. He helps me see different views than my own. They have many services available. The first visit has to be a walk in. They start at I believe… 12:30 until 3 during the week. After that you can schedule apointments. I also see Melanie for med management. She is not the kind to push you into meds. She truly listens.

Avoid if possible. Main office staff is untrustworthy. Steps outside office bounds to offer personal medical opinion. Ex. " I dont have #*****# ,I would just get over it, I don't know why anyone would have to take… medicine".. They talk outside of work about clients. They allow personal feelings too color professional ethics. Dr. Williams and the counselors seem reliable, and competent just the staff doing record keeping are the issue. This is a larger issue as you are not allowed too view or have copies of your records given to you. However, your lawyer can request a copy. They ask you to sign electronically without seeing what you are signing. For a group of office workers to have that much control, expecting clients to place blind trust when they can unequivocally destroy ability to carry arms, disability, and various other events in Clients life without client Knowing, effects can last well beyond the issue you were seen for years later.
