Wow! Like wow. Wonderful staff. Truly the first place I've ever seen things get done quickly and thorough. They have been so kind to my mom. She never had to wait to get what she needed. Very clean! I mean I was in… housekeeping and well they do a great job. Thank you to all that has helped her
Waited for sometime- and then finally walked out. This is by far the worse ER I can say I have delt with. They call you back to get your vitals and then put you back in the waiting room for another hour.
Recently welcomed a newborn into the world, with the facility and staff providing exceptional care and reassurance, ensuring that everything proceeded smoothly.
The worst hospital I have ever been to. I had pneumonia and covid and had came by ambulance. They were cruel and uncaring and made me leave with no coat and no ride home. I had to beg strangers as I lived out of town at… the time. Another time I knew I had pneumonia because I get it frequently, the Dr. said I didn't. Xray said I did. Recently I went in sick and I had blood sugar over 400. The Dr. literally said, " I don't give insulin". And they don't care if your in pain. At all. And the little quiet one who does the I. V. and takes blood is sweet, but SUCKS at her job She keeps missing and digs around with the needle. And the ambulance in this town won't bring you to any other hospital. If I don't move, I will die here.
Waited 3 hours in ER. My husband had a bad Fall from heavy machine. Level of pain was 8. He needs help getting up.. I have never seen such callous disregard for my husbands pain. It was like stepping into a 3rd world… country. My husband called the clinic and they said he really needed to go to the EMERGENCY room. You don’t even deserve 1 star
Doctors and nurses are amazing
Ppl here are just rude. Came here cuz my dad went to the er and wait to get back to find out what going one and they would not let me back. If anything happens Im the only one that can say yes or no to. This is the… worst place to go to. I never in my life had front ppl not let me back. When my name is on flie saying that im make what happen to him. Then have a person that dose even work here tell me what I can and cant do. This place is worst place to come to.
DO NOT GO TO THIS EMERGENCY ROOM. CentraCare uses out-of-network emergency doctors through EPPA (Emergency Physician Professional Association) to illegally surprise-bill patients. You may be seen for seconds and later… receive a separate bill for hundreds of dollars. This is a direct violation of the No Surprises Act, a federal law that explicitly prohibits billing patients for out-of-network emergency care at in-network hospitals. Patients in emergencies cannot choose their doctor — and the law exists to stop exactly this kind of abuse. EPPA then sends payment demands via sketchy spam-like text messages months later. Miss it, and they send you to collections to damage your credit. This is predatory, deceptive, and unacceptable. CentraCare knows this is happening and continues to allow it. That makes them complicit. Emergency care should not come with illegal financial ambushes after the fact.
Went in for urgent care. Doctor prescribed the same medicines that didnt work for the two prior urgent and emergency room visits. Still no results from the medications. Blood drawn 3 times with no results. Went to… schedule a primary care visit and was sent in to schedule a ct scan instead. Went in for the ct scan. Got referred to ENT. Then scheduled a primary care 45+ days out. Confirmed the new 11:10 am time instead of the original 10:40 am. Went in at 11:01 and was turned away saying I was late. And I could reschedule in 2 weeks. Stay away from this place. I think they just try and schedule as many visits while doing as little as possible to scam insurance. Will not be returning under any circumstances
5 Visits. Made a review. Called them like they asked, several times. No response, not a damn thing. Absolute worst hospital of man kind. They’ve violated my rights to care my second visit.
The care we received from the ER staff and others regarding our emergency was superb. The service we received could not have been better. Being a professional in the health care field for over 50 years, we are very… knowledgeable of appropriate care, and we received it with great kindness.
Honestly I’m very upset with the care I got here, I went here for mental health not my choice I thought I was staying at the St. Cloud one but got transferred here at first it seem good but then I had an issue with… staff Constantly changing what they were saying and what was loving and what wasn’t, witch lead to a break down Was that I was being told I was being discharged when I never asked to be discharge, which I was told I did when all I’ve ever asked was to be transferred cause I was not getting the care I need like they never touch my Mental health meds just sleeping meds Which cell doesn’t make sense when all I said, as I woke up, foggy in the next morning, then was told I could try to get into the Crisis place and for some Reason they booked a bus when I never agreed to take a bus Then was told I sabotage getting on a bus when I never agreed to get on a bus when I knew my boyfriend would come get me if he had to but was told I could arrange to try to get into this one other place, Which I was allowed to get in the next day maybe And was trying to make arrangements for that and then was trying to figure out how to get home and was told that they booked a bus for me which I never agreed to get on when they knew I had no phone and no keys to get into my place and said it was my issue to figure out how to get home after they got me to the bus station in St. Cloud. Even knowing my boyfriend was willing to come get me and when my boyfriend tried to call and talk to them about coming to get and hung up on them trying to make plains to come get me I ways also called a compulsive liar many times by staff when I told point out there lier and was told they never said that even when other Client stuck up and said they heard it too, I was even told during my break down cause I would not move away from the desk and wanted to speak to a high up that they would Resting me and Sedate me to make me listen and even when I back up it was not listening even though I was against the wall not by the desk and had ever right to wait there and ask to see a higher up but was being told I be Forced to go back to my room and restrain down and sedated if I didn’t listen even though I was not being a harm to myself or anyone else! This place was no help they actually made my mental health worse and said it was my fault for not being Compliant with treatment witch was not true at all the got made I point out them changing what they all said about rules and pointing out my rights!
NURSES ARE ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL AND HAVE NO SYMPATHY. My friends went there today and was diagnosed with loss of pregnancy. She asked a nurse for a pad, nurse rudely responded she would get one. Then ignored my friend… after saying that and continued to conversate about personal matters with two other nurses, my friend did not receive the pad. When she was discharged she asked for a pad again, informing a different nurse that she asked for one before. The nurse rudely responded and asked her for all of her information again so she had to give them all her information for ONE pad.
Went for serotonin syndrome within 3 days I’m back home. My stay at the hospital was perfect and the nurses took great care of me. Thanks for saving my life.
I've had many issues with this ER & hospital. They've misdiagnosed many people I know. My recent experience gives me every reason to never go back there. My mom has been in and out of the ER for the last 3 weeks in… excruciating pain. They kept doing the same tests which weren't showing anything. They just drugged her up and sent her on her way. Finally the 3rd time going in well bawling her eyes out they decided to finally do a CT scan and found a abnormality on her spine. Thank god her Dr had her in within 24 hours for an MRI because she was immediately put back in the ER & transferred to St. Cloud because of an abscess on her spine that cause an infection in her whole body that was spreading to her bones. If the ER would've done what they should've even the 2nd time she went , if they would have listened to her when she said she felt like she was dieing, this could've been prevented! They are so quick to dismiss patients and throw drugs at them! Get it together Willmar.
My sister was born at this hospital (before CentraCare ruined it), and years later she came in doubled over in pain from severe menstrual cramps — clearly suffering — and instead of compassion or care,TRIAGE NURSE JODIE… brushed her off and told her it was “just female problems.” She even said, “pain is a part of life.” No vitals were taken, no questions asked — we weren’t even moved out of the admission area before being told we wouldn’t be admitted. She was condescending and rude, constantly interrupting us with long drawn out monologues about how addressing the pain would only be a “bandaid solution”, not worth trying. When I tried to advocate for my sister, JODIE tried to kick me out instead of helping. The lack of empathy, professionalism, and basic human decency was shocking. My sister left humiliated and still in pain, and I left disgusted that a place she was born in could treat her so horribly. This was truly the worst healthcare experience I have ever witnessed. Do not send your loved ones to this ER. If this is how they treat women in pain, it’s clear that compassion and patient care are not their priorities.
nurse jodie kicked me out after telling her i was already there once that day and the pain got worse. told me to suck it up basically. -100/10
I got charged $400 for a regular urgent care visit. I was very sick and had heavy symptoms. I went in and they didn’t even prescribe me with any medication to relieve the symptoms. I spent the remaining 2 weeks after my… visit coughing a lot. Their doctors are incompetent. My mother used to go on regular visits, and they never knew what to do or what treatments to give her. As soon as she went to a different clinic in Alexandria, they appropriately helped her. $400 for not to be given proper treatment after the visit is ridiculous. It’s a scam. And people think insurance companies are a scam. Doctor visits at Central care are the real scam.
Loved one went to Rice ER and was given Percocets to take home for pain. Great plan for someone who's chart history shows multiple mentions of substance abuse problems. Couple days later loved one ends up in jail with… charges due to what happened after being given drugs from ER without monitoring or controls. Not the first time a CentraCare ER has failed this person. Too bad central MN doesn't have much for options regarding doctors who aren't run by CentraCare.
UPDATE: I was in the hospital on 4/7 of this year and this time it was the other way around. The doctor was great but the nurse? She created a fountain when she was trying get an IV started! I Had never had that happen… before! Blood was everywhere! on me, the floor, the bedding, my blood came out the a water fountain! I was so amazed that it took me awhile before I actually reacted to the situation. She panic running trying stop the bleeding. People have told me SUE them but have been in the emergency room at Rice Hospital several time for various reasons. This time my doctor send me there and it was the most entertaining time I've had in any ER. Unbelievable! I agree with K the nurses are wonderful but some of the doctors leave a lot to be desired. It seems like their attitude is you are faking your pain just to be there. We love getting needles (or so they think!) Fun having blood drawn. Doctors can and are rude! Not all but most. Crazy people!
Brought my son in this morning with severe head pain and vomiting blood, chills. We waited 1 hr. 45 mins to see a Dr. Still nothing. We left , went to a much better and more caring hospital.
Had a great experience in Labor and Delivery.
Such a positive experience. Both my nurse and PA were kind, reassuring, and efficient. Grateful for Rice.
