WARNING do NOT go here if you or your loved one has a serious mental condition. They told us that they have psychiatrists who can prescribe for bipolar one w psychotic features, then we sat through at least eight hours… of appointments to get to a prescriber, then the prescriber offered my loved one a sleep aid plus Neurontin/gabapentin, a habit-forming nerve medication with absolutely no use for bipolar one whatsoever. After turning that down it was settled that he would go home with the sleep aid and an ALLERGY PILL that *MIGHT HELP* with ANXIETY??? This place is just trying to kill poor people faster, like lots of organizations here in Collin County, stay away. They did harm to my loved one by promising care they couldn't deliver, thereby delaying and obstructing care that he absolutely needs, thereby causing him to suffer another manic episode which could have had dire and even the ultimate consequence to his health, and which could have been avoided had proper treatment for his condition been initiated UPDATE: WHAT DO YOU KNOW, we were finally able to get in to see a psych through our insurance and he was prescribed an antipsychotic, a mood stabilizer, and an actual anti anxiety med the SAME DAY. Five days later my loved one is "back," the voices are gone, and maybe he doesn't kill himself or all of us
Useless. Dealt with them for 5ish years. They are a “resource” that knows of “resources” who say they have “resources”. Nothing tangible is ever accomplished.
I wish I had a better experience
I was in their crisis center in 2023. As a bipolar 2 I went into psychosis. They literally put you in a hole in the wall with five other patients, all suffering from different things. Literally all you get is a bed. I… didn't receive ANY services. After two days of neglect my psychosis was so bad that they transferred me by ambulance to another facility. I wasnt the only one this happened to while I was there either. If you love someone and care about them don't bring them here.
These people are unparalleled for real I’ve been to a lot of these places stellar staff actually just left a review however a technical difficulty deleted the middle part and didn’t realize yet that I could edit so I… didn’t wanna leave people out Clara is a joy because she loves helping people she helped me lots.she can talk and listen while typing something else will was the first person getting me oriented and he’s super friendly loves to do extra work very knowledgeable conversationalist And you should check out his consult Beth is amazing. She likes everyone and tries to give us extra stuff. She is open in sharing that she used to live a lifestyle close to ours Emma Is About to graduate nursing school so that she can enter the careerhelping people like me she’s always smiling, always friendly. I And eager to helpEvelyn was also one of the first people to greet me and told me she believed my crazy story which is true.jans Review got cut off during my Technical difficulty.Jan Is the big boss, his staff adore him He’s an Aggie, but I like him too Van and Javon Completed my discharge and I was stressed with the ease my mind and we were all sitting around talking and laughing like old friends. This place is great. They don’t look down on us. They just wanna help. now if you were to take all of those peoples goodness and flip it to evil and put it all into one person you would have JOHANNA she wouldn’t wake up a blind man for breakfast and tried to have me thrown out for doing so usurping her authority.she smiled when she thought I was getting kicked out homeless she makes other staff uncomfortable by cornering them with malicious gossip about co workers but besides that wonderful place!
Majority of the people that work here are genuinely caring and sweet. Harrietta at the front desk is a gem. She always goes above and beyond ensuring patients feel comfortable and respected.
Lowkey just really unhelpful and told me everything I already knew and thought of. Drove 3 hours bc I spoke to 4 different people on the phone that told me to come for an assessment. An assessment is about 10 minutes of… them genuinely telling you everything you already know.
Staff does not take their Adult Patients getting there help seriously. They keep us bouncing around from place to place. They messed up my appointment and made me miss one when I wasnt even a fullly enrolled in services… yet. I went here when I was a teenager they did great. But now that im an adult they don't and won't care.
I just started services and its been nothing short of a nightmare. They are going to be the reason I lose my life because they can’t sign a simple emotional support letter
I simply called today with two questions for their internship and the lady who I was transferred to was unbelievably rude, unhelpful, and so incredibly unprofessional. I do not know how they are counseling anyone when… inquiring information on the phone was a total hassle for her. Wow!!
Do NOT go here. They provide very little to no services and then will send you bill after bill not taking the balance down at all.
Literal angels who walk amongst us. I will forever be grateful to lifepath and all those who work so selflessly to better their community and fellow man/woman. I just dont have words to describe how grateful I am.
Disappointing, there is a lot of administrative work which seems unnecessary and still not mental help services are done. It seems that their priority is to send people away or to have them to come back over and over,… even for things that can be done over the phone such to get insurance ID number. It is obvious they want to get off work early. Family member went there but never got treatment. Then tried one more time and went through all the processing requirments, after 6 visits which each took hours never got an appointment to see a counselor, therapy or services. When repetitively asked about getting an appointment to get mental care help, finally we were told that there is a long waiting list of 1 to 2 months. The lack of supervising and management is evident. One wonders how the County resurces and money are been used.
Oct 17,2025 :1:42pm I had to drive all the way to the Plano/Alma location because they are not answering the phones it hangs up on you when you select Appointments. I had to verify my Son appointment because they keep… deleting my sons appointment. They no longer make calls one day prior to the scheduled appointment. I had to confirm my sons appointment in person. Inconvenience that I will have to make two round trips plus gasoline cost. Be aware.
No one answer the calls . Unable to contact even if with multiple messages
They never answer the phone always hang up after waiting such a long time (just to sch an appointment!) pitiful
So grateful for their services and support
I wish I could give this place zero stars. I was in the crisis center and being there was detrimental to my mental health. The staff was rude and condescending. The “psychiatrist” lied to me and tried to gaslight me.… When I told her that I know what she told me she became angry and told the other staff. She told me and another patient the exact same lie. The tech Beth told the other staff and I could them talking about me and laughing. If you don’t like your job then quit. This place is just a jail for the mentally ill. No one should be treated poorly, especially not the mentally ill in a crisis. They should lose their license. I’m going to complain everyday until this happens. I have PTSD from this place and woke up with nightmares last night.
They can help with getting some medications for cheap or even free in my case as well as provide list of local resources and rides. But otherwise there aid is severely limited. I imagine its a funding issue, rather than… policy or lack of drive to help.
I was put into a mental crisis center here and was told my nurse Gina that she didn’t time to deal with my extreme panic attacks because of intakes she had to do. I spent almost 3 days doing an intake to be thrown in a… weekend place that didn’t even have a doctor available on weekends. Worse experience nurse Gina should absolutely not be dealing with patients and if I had her full information I would absolutely be reporting her. I am now getting treated at Allen psychiatry and it has been the best most attentive experience ever!
I am a recovering alcoholic and addict been Sober almost 2 years now after 48 years of addiction. I am a client of Lifepath for 2 years and it helped save my life. I strongly suggest anyone who is struggling to reach… out to Lifepath and get Help. ... Mark W
I came to LifePath McKinney yesterday and met with Miss.Mary Pierce. She is by far phenomenal and throughly answered any and all questions I asked. She listens. Lets you talk and gives excellent feedback. I would… honestly rate far above 5 STARS if I could for Miss.Mary. Thank you for everything Miss. Mary, and also thank you to LifePath as well!
