This place harmed my spouse when they were younger, released them more traumatized and suicidal, and charged them $900 for the experience. They were crowded and unprofessional, and the RN who saw them lied about her… credentials (we found out afterwards from the bill). She tried to guilt them with religion, repeatedly pestered my spouse for "why they were suicidal" within hearing distance of multiple patients, and when they finally said what happened she excused herself to cry about what they said. One of the patients was able to stab herself in the face repeatedly with a bra wire she was somehow allowed to keep. This place was incapable, and many workers were unfit.
They didn’t let me get off the bed and they treated me very bad and kinda cold food and when I asked for a nurse when I was feeling bad they never brought one to me and I stayed a whole day sitting on a hard ass bed and… it’s scary and cold in there wouldn’t wanna be there again 0/10
Attempted to get into contact for someone going through stuff. For the last 30 minutes no one has answered.
In the end of 2024 I was going thru some bad time and I rech out for help by the beginning of 2025 Mary k she'll and the Kern county behavioral therapist and Clinica Serra vista help me out I would to thank them and let… them know at Mary k she'll that know Im a resident in las Vegas nevada and that they need them over here they need Mary k she'll in las Vegas nevada please look into it help me help the people who are going thru bad time thank you
"This isn't about me its about you " physiology is overrated
Nice workers they fed me when asked and made sure I was safe when I needed it most.
They didn’t serve any food, the bathrooms smelt bad. And they made us stay there for 5 hours
This place is the last place you would want a loved one that was Ill to be that place is nasty and there's no place for someone with mental health problems to be that's for damn sure
We came here today for my brother who is ill, and is a danger to himself and everyone living with him. We have never been treated so rudely and mocked by professionals. He has had violent melt downs and fits of rage the… last five days before running away repeatedly into the desert and staying with questionable strangers. When we expressed our concern of his violence, mood swings, and self abuse, we were dismissed and treated with apathy. They had no interest in discussing the situation with us, were condescending and did not interview his mother. I understand that my brother is not always truthful, and he has begun to say "people call names" to avoid discussing his rage. But I never expected professionals of mental health to not consider the bias pov of an ustable teen. On the way home my brother imitated the mocking nature of the staff, sneered at us, and nearly bolted again. The visit was worse for his mood and enabled him to believe his violent outburst and reckless behavior is harmless. People can't always help, but some understanding and kindness can go along way in a crisis. The nightmare is still happening for us! I don't know if he will run away again, and tonight his anger resurfaced again.
I was physically assaulted by 4 grown men and then given a sedative shot against my wishes. I at no time initiated any physical contact just refused the sedative. I agreed to go to the hospital with them peacefully but… not on the sedative
The staff was super nice and helpful
This place is a joke. I don’t know how the place is open and running. One of the workers there, (still unsure if they are a n actual nurse or not) Identified themselves as the leading doctor themselves! They hung up on… me several times then proceeded to not let me speak to my minor or give me updates, saying I am not the biological parent and tried to give my child away….. to a complete stranger !!!! This Experience has been and still is an ongoing trauma in my life . This place is in NO way, anyway, anywhere to send any living human or thing….. not even your worse enemy.
This place needs to be shut down, it is terrifying as a patient. If you love the person you are suggesting to be put in here, please reconsider. This is not a place that helps people, it is a prison. Everything is run… down, dirty, the nurses and doctors have no interest in acknowleding you unless it's your allotted 5 minutes in their schedule. They also put aggressive patients with docile ones, i was verbally and physically assaulted multiple times while staying here.
Do not, I repeat, do not allow your family member to go here! This place is awful. My sister is there and got hit by another person, and they did nothing. This is just a holding tank until they can get a bed at another… facility. If you can avoid this place, I would avoid it like a plague. Sadly, they forget these are people's loved ones and human beings! Our health care system is so broken!!!! Also, the second time my sister was there, they allowed her to leave. We showed up to visit, and she was gone! She was not healthy enough to leave. We found her roaming the streets in the middle of winter in shorts, a tank top, and no shoes or socks! Disgusting that they care so little about people's loved ones!
Fwd:Can't get in touch with the nurse today because she is in Lake Isabella . I called the drugstore, and they have already been calling the Dr. I phoned his mobile phone and it has been disconnected. I called his… landlines, No Answer ! I just sent an email, so I'll see if that works ! No wonder people commit suicide.
These people are a joke. They don't help anybody
Unfortunately have had to bring a family member here multiple times in 2024. Shameful experience every time.
If I could give negative stars I would, had my brother escorted over to the facility for a mental health evaluation and cause he declined their services one of their "volunteers" just dropped him off at a local hospital… and didn't bother making sure he actually went inside I will be filing a complaint with patients rights
This place is Not helpful at all. Your better off talking to a wall, Until you get through whatever is bothering you😒
I was sent here a few years ago at the age of around 14. I was there for one night because I was suicidal. The place was extremely cold and the bed I was given was horribly uncomfortable like you would expect. I was… kept up all night by another patient screaming. I remember a nurse made me pull down my shorts to show her my self harm scars and had the nerve to insultingly ask why would do that to myself like she had never seen someone who self harmed in a pysch ward setting. They just let me leave the next morning even though I was still a danger to myself, not that I wanted to stay in that place anyway. Horrible place, doesn't even offer you any further resources for help, horrible, uncaring staff.
I am changing this review to a better score. I have recently gone and was treated fairly!
asking for a friend does it help idiots ?
You don't know how bad it is if you haven't been there.... Update: The other facilities is okay I learned that 3-4 years ago. The crisis part is just terrible especially if you're a minority. Adult crisis is better but… can be bad. The schools, law or basically the state will send you there automatically in crisis. Can't leave this place til you get transferred or your 51/50 is uplifted. The law will take whomever that is in crisis there and even the therapist if they have no choice by law. Crisis centers still scare me even when I am okay now
Not helpful. 👎 Not nice. A relative of mine threatened to end her life. I went here to see if her counselor could... maybe...call her? She was a patient. I was hoping his voice could snap her out of it. I don't know.… The receptionist asked for her name. The other receptionist moved closer to listen into our conversation. I told her and verified our address. After a pause and a few clicks, she told me that she cannot give out personal information. I told her ok. But can her counselor call her? She repeated herself and gave me the police department phone number. Apparently, if someone wants to end it all, it's up to THEM to ask for help. I guess you have to call the police on them if they don't want to get help. :/ Ugh.
Not the best place, I was in the minor's section there was Lidgett girls painting on the walls with their own blood and none of the staff did anything about it.
