Crossroads Counseling Inc – Williamsport Reviews and Ratings
Patients remember things about Crossroads Counseling Inc that no register holds: who answered the phone, how the first day went, whether family were included.
If you have that kind of knowledge, a review in this section passes it on.
One of the worst counseling centers. They are horrible. My appointment was rescheduled and I was never called or texted about the change and error. Then they acted like it was my fault so I said the hell with you and I… went with Genesis House.
I literally couldn’t put everything that’s wrong with this place in one review. By the way, I want to make it clear that this is Charles Maxson leaving this review and I hope that you people read this from this… facility. Yes there are a handful of people that care there, but at the end of the day, the Management the there only care about throwing the book at you, and they have absolutely no understanding if you have a life outside of the program that you have to take care of. I spent almost 8 weeks in an AIOP program there ( mind you this program is supposed to be 4–6 weeks) and I participated more than anybody did, never relapsed, passed every drug test, and attended every single day that I didn’t have a legitimate legal documented reason not to be there- (Mind you the only reason I ever missed days was because of court, Hospital visit, and also emergency vehicle repair that I had told everybody about ahead of time, and they had told me it was OK multiple times and it was completely fine and that it would not be held against me)- then I was even medically discharged there on a day I showed up, and they sent to a medical facility by their own nurse that day and I’m pretty sure they’re counting that against me. Whether that’s the case or not, it’s still irrelevant because of everything else. So with all that being said, I attended the program for more than the time that should’ve been which means that I should’ve made up the days that I missed right? Nope. I get a phone call the day before I’m supposed to come back from having to drive over 3 hours away to get a transmission put in my vehicle because it is broken down, and I have children to file for and a company to attend to, so therefore I cannot have a vehicle that does not have an operational transmission, which any reasonable and logical human being would understand, and I’ll just throw this out there again – I okayed this with everybody in the facility multiple times before I made the trip to go get this work done – so I get a phone call the day before I’m supposed to return that “oh Management said that I miss too many days and they have to discharge me” Is this some kind of sick joke? You’re holding the fact that I was in a hospital, had to go to court, and had to get major emergency vehicle repair against me and telling me that even though I made up for most of the time that I missed all the sudden I’m being discharged? That’s a medical malpractice. Talk about people that don’t care. I hope that at least somebody takes the time to read this and realizes that these people here do not deserve the business of individuals that need actual help. You should go to Genesis house or you should go somewhere else. I really thought that these people were here to support me through this program, and I made sure that everything checked out and everybody was OK with the days that I was missing, and then all of a sudden, like I had mentioned before it was pulled out with in the last couple days that I was supposed to get a certificate and graduate the program that all the sudden they discharging me because I “missed too many days”—that everybody okayed and told me was perfectly fine, right?!?— literally it’s a joke. Either somebody has some personal problem with me or literally It’s just a case of those people are out for nothing but money and they could literally give two flying tumbleweeds about whether or not you succeed with your recovery or not. What a horrible, hopeless experience. Even after contacting West Branch and my CRS worker they refused to do anything. I will be consulting a lawyer about this, and even if nothing comes of it, God is watching and whoever is making decisions like that is going to pay for it. What a contradictive business model. So if I’m at high risk for relapse, that means that they basically just pulled my entire support system out from under me overnight and threw me back out with no routine or structure or anything. Does that tell you that they care? I mean seriously think about that. What people that care would do that?
Absolutely the worst
All I gotta say is watch what you say around ur counselor, especially if u have kailyn
I’ve been in a treatment program with Crossroads since mid April of this year. Today is my last appointment as I have now finished treatment. Today also marks 3 years, 1 month and 21 days since my last drink or drug. I… highly recommend this center to all who seek help, are ordered to receive help and anyone seeking an opioid maintenance program.
I've been going to Crossroads for years and an I've always had great counselor's who care. My current counselor Gabby is excellent and I would recommend Crossroads for mental health care.😊
Staff here is great but not every therapist is a good fit for everyone.
Extremely unhelpful, was supposed to do video groups and can't get a ounce of help to get logged in plus it's right in the middle of my works day. Bad review.
Couldn’t see the psychiatrist to be put on medication unless I was seen by therapist for a month. Therapist assumed I was on medication and that I would only be seen every other week. Waited two months for first… appointment. Subsequent appointments were rescheduled because of therapist’s own conflicts. I was discharged for missing these appointments because I was not informed when they were rescheduled to.
My therapist rescheduled twice on me, left a voice mail telling me that my upcoming appointment didn't work for her schedule so when I didn't show up to said appointment I was discharged for "poor attendance." Waited a… month and a half to be seen at this place and discharged because they kept rescheduling my appointments. Not worth the hassel, there are better places in Williamsport to get help.
Not impressed
I had my initial intake and I needed to reschedule my first appointment. I left a message for them to call me which they did not so I called them. I was told I would get a call back for a reschedule. When I got the call… back I was scheduled for the 6th. I then received a letter stating that if I didn't show up to my next appointment on the 30th that I would be discharged due to rescheduling my first appointment. Apparently that's not allowed. I didn't get this letter until the Saturday before my supposed appointment that I was NOT informed about in which I have to schedule my ride with Rabbit Transit for a Monday appointment on the Thursday beforehand so there was no way of me making that appointment. I got a letter of discharge stating they called me about said appointment on the 30th which I was NOT informed about. This place is unprofessional. I have already looked for services elsewhere. I'd give 0 stars if I could.
I have Yasmine as my counselor from the sunbury location. She is the absolute BEST! I talk to her like I've known her my whole life and that everything I say I know she's not judging. I look forward to talking to her… and getting everything out! My fiancé heard us talk before that he wants to sign up & be her patient also! It means the world to us when a counselor actually cares and remembers things that are going on in our life!
A 'doctor' who spends half the time telling you how great you are and half insulting you and threatening to have you committed; then refuse to see you because you decide you don't want to start a new drug. Therapists… who barely have any sympathy let alone empathy, and have no knowledge or respect for other belief systems. A horrible experience that only caused more anxiety and depression and resulted in prescription drug addiction that I am finally over, no thanks to this place, which was the cause of it. It's nice that they can make money off of those with problems 😑. If there were no sick or depressed people, the 'doctors' and 'therapists' would be sick and depressed... What a shame that would be...
They make appointments that are missed by them and want to discharge you like it’s not grounds for a violation of probation, crossroads is the worst and needs to do better with communication
This place is the worst place to ever go to I wouldn't even have my worst enemy go there for help the only help you get is in the maps program but everyone else there is miney hungry and will not work with people on… payment when they lose a job. And the tharpits there are never any help they make you feel worse about yourself when you can't pay. Just reamber they rather see people in jail then help you. EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROSSROADS not even worth a one star
The reviews of how they are only out for the money are most likely true. The just ok service they offered drastically dropped. Wouldn’t recommend this place.
Worse bunch of unorganized people ever, 5 appts had 20 min of talking. If you truly need help do yourself a favor and avoid this place and aggravation
I have not had a single good experience at this place. I have seen 3 separate therapists here, but the last one I saw was by far the worst. She made me feel extremely invalidated and said very rude things to me right at… the first session. Basically told me that I have nothing to be depressed about and she literally told me “let go and let god.” Told me that I really wasn’t serious about my suicidal ideation and that I need to be less emotional and sensitive. I have not felt that any of the 3 therapists i’ve seen here have cared about me or even really done their job correctly. Stay away from this place, seriously. I have had better experiences with csg in Williamsport.
