Ok this clinic is nor what it was when I first went. I got extremely sick and still am. I have chest pain and abdominal pain. After the upper and lower gi the pain stayed and gotten worse. This is not the 1st time they… canceled my appointment. On thus occasion its been 3 times and i had a triag nirse call them and the lady on the phone said that i cant be seen and they dont offer walk in appointment to the triag nurse while i was on line and i cant wait till i tell the patient advocate at the main va about how they treat us at this facility. I also just checked today of this post for my appointment the triage nurse and the receptionist set up it shouldnt of taken a triag nurse to call back with me online listening and when i heard her the receptionist say they dont offer walk ins i kept quiet till the triage nurse said mr wilcox dod you hear this. I said yes and the triage nurse even asked her again if they allow walk ins and she said no again. Also i have yet to get asigned an actual doctor from this clinic. Anyways i che k my va portal for my appointment toady at 1315 and guess what its not there only one i have is for my growth that i had to fight to get in there and all they said was wash it with soap and water we will set up an appointment for you. That mole growth the size of a large eraser that rupped off somehow was not important enough for them to make me an appointment. With this one i waited one week and went back to be seen same thing wash and wait. Once again had to call the triage nurse and communtiy care and that was a rin around seems they didnt put in the right paperwork ans my dermatologist appointment was never made. I had to make calls back and forth till i finally got an appointment buy that time i had to get the infected area cut out about a 2 in chunk of meat and skin taken and had to get it carterized and 8 stitches later. Guess what appointment is still up the one for community care. I am reporting this clinic to the highest level and going back to the main va even if i have to deive the extra 10 to 20 miles.
During my visit with Srivassa Alluri, I experienced conduct that was not only clinically inappropriate but left me in significant pain for the remainder of the day. Despite my documented history of neurogenic Thoracic… Outlet Syndrome (nTOS), Alluri repeatedly manipulated my arm in ways that were unnecessary, uncomfortable, and ultimately harmful. These movements were performed without regard for my condition, my symptoms, or my clear communication about the limitations caused by nTOS. Throughout the interaction, Alluri insisted that the issue was “just my wrist,” dismissing the possibility of nTOS entirely. This was not a difference in clinical opinion — it was a refusal to acknowledge my medical history, my symptoms, and the reality of my condition. The manipulation of my arm was done with a level of force and disregard that caused immediate pain and lasting discomfort for the rest of the day. What made the experience worse was the neglectful attitude displayed. My concerns were brushed aside. My pain responses were ignored. My condition was minimized. Instead of receiving care, I was subjected to actions that aggravated my injury and demonstrated a lack of understanding — or a lack of willingness to understand — the complexity of nTOS. No patient should have to endure this kind of dismissive behavior, especially from someone entrusted with their care. The experience was unprofessional, harmful, and deeply disappointing.
Love this pllace. Dr. Alluring and the rest of the staff are amazing and truly respect Vets. No crazy wait times and appointments are very reasonable. Makes the whole VA system easier to have these CBOCs for Vets to use… as opposed to the main VA which is a complete nightmare.
Consistant great service and care.
Always a pleasure to visit
One of the most alarming parts of my experience is that this facility does not operate with any recognizable form of trauma‑informed care. Instead of acknowledging the impact of trauma, staff repeatedly responded with… dismissiveness, intimidation, and punitive assumptions. At times, it felt as though the culture here prioritizes control and coercion over compassion, professionalism, or clinical standards. What makes this even more disturbing is that my medical record contains documentation acknowledging that the VA’s own actions contributed to my PTSD — yet the response to that reality has been administrative neglect, barriers to care, and behavioral framing, rather than accountability or support. No veteran should ever be placed in a position where their trauma is exacerbated by the very system responsible for treating it. I also encountered documentation practices that raise serious concerns about accuracy and integrity. When records contain contradictions, fabricated assumptions, or entries that do not align with actual events, it undermines trust and jeopardizes patient safety. Veterans depend on accurate records for their care, and any deviation from that standard is unacceptable. The environment I experienced reflects systemic failures, not isolated mistakes. Veterans deserve a facility that practices trauma‑informed care, respects patient rights, and upholds federal standards — not one where trauma responses are punished, concerns are dismissed, and administrative actions take precedence over medical needs. I hope leadership addresses these issues with the seriousness they warrant, because no veteran should have to fight the system that is supposed to care for them.
Great VA clinic with very helpful staff. I am very with all the help I have received with them.
This VA clinic has been great for me, but today the leadership had a meeting from 0800-0900 where most go to check in. People have things to do. As leaders, do these meetings earlier, during lunch or after work. Do you… have to close the check in counters for this meeting? You leaders need to plan better.
No pharmacy for disabled Veterans
horrible communication... phone operators will not explain anything, they will ask you to hold on and just transfer you all day. Just got transfered 4x without any explanation. Communication via myhealthevet (online) is… not any better
Kudos to everyone, excellent service
This clinic is garbage. No one answers the phone, you spend 15 to 30 minutes on hold no matter what time of day. All my appointments have had to be made through the main VA health customer service because of this. When… having my first PCM meeting, she barely paid attention to what I was saying, then I had to wait in the middle of my appointment so she could make notes and help another patient. I’m currently in the process of switching clinics.
Good chill
Am told to go to the lab at 4pm. Get there and am told the lab closed at 2pm. Drove an hour and a half for no reason. The stupidity of the VA doesn't even surprise me anymore. Absolutely worthless 90% of the time.
I have been to this VA a handful of times, and I don't recall ever having a negative experience. It is located on the second floor, and the staff has always been courteous if I had questions. There is plenty of parking… in the front, with several handicap spaces near the front entrance.
A nurse decided that she would hang up on me today because I let her know that she was exhibiting a very defensive attitude towards me. I was trying to reschedule an appointment that I had just noticed I missed… yesterday. I wasn't blaming her but she apparently took it personal. I normally get a text and a call, I was not aware that those reminders are only in place when there are volunteers available. Whoever you are, you're probably having a bad day but understand that being condescending and rude it's not going to fix that and it will not make you feel better. It's a shame for the good, courteous and caring people I've had the chance to interact with while at this clinic because people like you make the whole place look bad.
This clinic never answers the phone! Imagine emergency calls.
I’ve never had a bad experience. Always on time. Very friendly and respectful and always go the extra mile. Angela and Ms.Fierro great examples
Great care
Behavioral health realized they misdiagnosed my depression. They thought it was from my PTSD however it was due to being bipolar as well. They said they were going to send me to a civilian doctor better suited to help.… This was after I confronted the doctor for canceling an appointment with me, the doc stating there was a veteran who needed him more.... I told him "I wonder how it is to play god and decide whos mental healh should come first"... being i had been waiting months for that appointment... That was over a year ago today.I have been fighting my own personal hell with no help from the va behavioral health at the east side. And go figure my yearly appointment with my primary was canceled as well because my doctor was on rapid response team at main va. No wonder veterans are killing themselves.
Doctors and Nurses are GTG. Front area staff does what they want when they want.
Was waiting for 30min for someone to answer and after 30min someone answered and said hello and didn’t give a chance to respond and hanged up. No wonder veterans don’t look for help. You try calling but no one answers
Just got off the phone with Ishmal not sure if I spelled that right he was super rude, very unprofessional and on top of that sarcastic all I wanted to do was to see if there was different date or time I could… reschedule an appointment. What a shame the people you have working to care for our veterans.
