Embark Behavioral Health – Englewood Reviews and Ratings
A review of Embark Behavioral Health does not need to be long. If you were a patient or a family member, a few plain sentences on what went well, and what you wish you had known beforehand, will help the next reader.
The staff was alway very welcoming and supportive. We will never forget their kindness and compassion when we were going through such a hard time with our family.
Our teenage daughter participated in Embark intensive outpatient care program at Greenwood Village. We were assured by the staff at the admission that they are trained to take care of her condition and we disclosed all… details. She did like Embark facility and therapists. However, because of her ongoing struggles due to her illness, the management staff decided they cannot continue with her treatment and shut the door for her. This was very damaging to our daughter and her confidence. They also recommended residential care out of state, which i'm sure would harm her more. While she was not doing great at that time, she was able to go back to regular school few weeks later. In general, I think the place and some of the staff are great and they can help someone with mild behavioral issues. Their internal meds management is not very good and we had to rely on outside help by a psychiatrist- it was redundant for us and they would still charge for it. They are ill equipped and not trained to deal with more serious psychiatric problems.
My young adult (19 years old) participated in the Intensive Outpatient Program at Embark Behavioral Health in Greenwood Village. I was very worried about my child's mental health and suicidal thoughts as was her… therapist. The staff at Embark were amazing and helped my child get through this difficult time and has a positive outlook on life again and is looking forward to going to college. Thank you Embark for treating my child and helping them overcome this difficult time in their life and by giving them healthy coping skills and the support and care to face challenging life situations.
The entire staff at Greenwood Village was dedicated to the success of our child. Not only are they amazing at their jobs, but we felt they truly cared about our child and his progress. The entire staff was kind,… respectful and went out of their way to help our child and our family. He started in an Embark residential program and transitioned to Greenwood Village IOP where he continued his great progress. His emotional stability and improved mental health were maintained and solidified more than we ever thought possible. It has been a month since discharge from IOP. Things aren’t perfect and he still struggles somewhat, but he is able to use the skills he learned to work through the difficult times. We have tried other PHP and IOP programs and have not had the success found at Embark. We will be forever grateful to the staff at Embark Greenwood Village!
I highly recommend Embark. The entire staff is excellent—caring, professional, and genuinely invested in each child’s well-being. The therapists are highly skilled, and the support staff is kind and compassionate. The… facility itself is new, well-maintained, and bright—an uplifting environment that makes a big difference when your child is staying for an extended period. We only wish we had found a program like this sooner. Embark has made a tremendous difference for our child and for our whole family. If your child is struggling, this is an outstanding option and truly worth considering.
If you are researching facilities that make a difference look no further than Embark. The PHP program as well as the IOP program have made a tremendous difference in how our family functions. The staff here are genuine… and caring, and skilled professionals. It is my understanding that they are relatively new to the state of Colorado. This group of professionals has made the entire difference for our family so don’t hesitate due to their newness to CO. We have been in and out of countless psychiatrists, psychologist, counselors, the list goes on, and this is the only place that we have found hope for a better future for our son. We will be taking the skills and knowledge and putting it into practice, the staff truly cares and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone who’s trying to find help for their adolescent that struggles with mental health.
We ‘just completed a 3 month IOP program with our teen. We had a very positive experience with everyone here. From individual therapy, family sessions, to group sessions- the program and staff were all top notch. Our… teen is ready to move forward in a healthier way with the tools to deal with the hard things life throws their way. We highly recommend Embark!
Embark is the second PHP and IOP program my daughter went to. The staff was very engaged and work with the entire family to make sure my daughter's safety and mental health needs were addressed. I would recommend Embark… to anyone struggling with mental issues.
I am very grateful for Embark behavioral health. Our family member was admitted for a severe mood disorder and the entire staff was great in helping. The experience felt like a team effort, rather than simply dropping… my family member off to be treated, which has been our past experience with other places. The team connected well and listened to our family member’s concerns and integrated us into the therapy so we could all learn better communication and coping skills. It was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend them.
I cannot say enough good things about the Embark staff at Greenwood Village. Their team is compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to meeting the unique needs of each client. The PHP and IOP programming not… only exceeded our expectations but also provided the essential support our family needed. Embark fosters a welcoming environment, making it a standout program in the Denver Metro area.
Our son needed some support for his mental health and Embark in Greenwood Village has been a wonderful, safe place for him to grow. We’ve seen incredible improvement with our son’s overall health and have absolutely… loved the safety and support that Embark provides. I have told others about Embark and couldn’t recommend them enough!
This program, after MANY other programs, helped our daughter. She has grown so much. The facility is beautiful. The staff is incredible and the results are overwhelming. Embark treats the whole family and we are forever… grateful.
Our family’s experience with Embark Behavioral Health's Intensive Outpatient Program for teen therapy has been nothing short of exceptional. The therapists are truly outstanding—compassionate, knowledgeable, and deeply… committed to their work. From the moment we walked in, we were met with a welcoming environment that immediately put us at ease. One of the highlights of our time at Embark was the group therapy sessions. The opportunity for our teen to partner with other teens who are navigating similar challenges has been incredibly therapeutic and validating. What sets Embark apart is their comprehensive approach to therapy, involving both parents and children in the process. This inclusive strategy has been pivotal for our family’s healing journey. The use of their CASA (Commitment, Acceptance, Security and Attunement) model is remarkable. It focuses on building lasting relationships within the family, addressing concerns not just in the mind, but also the heart and body. This holistic approach has fostered incredible growth and healing in our teen. The staff is easy to work with and goes above and beyond to ensure the needs of the whole family are met. They've been instrumental in helping our teen continue to grow, even providing assistance with medication management when required. Having been through IOP programs before, we can confidently say that Embark’s emphasis on integrating the family into the healing process is a game-changer. We sincerely appreciate the care and dedication they have shown us, and we wish everyone in their search for care all the best in finding the support they need at Embark Behavioral Health.
We attended under the leadership of the new team. They were amazing. This is the best therapeutic experience we have ever had. After other places, my child would say that she didn’t understand why she had made so much… growth and I hadn’t. When attending Embark in Greenwood Village, we had family therapy sessions, where we learned all of the same skills and can now apply them for the growth of ourselves and our family. Highly recommend this place!! would give it 10 stars if I could.
Embark's new team and management is friendly and knowledgable. The facility is modern, clean, bright, safe, and welcoming. My tour of the facility and conversation with the new clinical director was thorough and… detailed. As a counseling student, I would be happy to work there. As a parent, I would trust them with my children.
Gorgeous facility where people will feel safe. Wonderful team of experts that know how to care for adolescents and young adults.
We would not recommend their IOP based on our experience. Our child was in their program for about 3 weeks before we pulled her after encountering one too many issues with processes, her therapist, and methods. -… Billing is HORRID! Worst experience I’ve ever had with medical billing. After almost 6 months they still are submitting and resubmitting claims, always one problem after another. We were also required to pay a deposit, which is due back to us in full, but they will not release it until all claims are finalized. So why rush? - medications: med management can be helpful, but when recommendations are made based on discussions with a child (with behavioral/emotional issues who likely is not invested in their treatment), mistakes can be made and unnecessary meds recommended. - Gender Identity: if the patient has gender dysphoria this becomes the primary focus, above the deep rooted, long standing issues/struggles that they were referred for. They are not gender specialists, nor is that what the IOP is geared towards. We saw a highly respected gender specialist who was appalled at the things they said and did and stated their methods were completely out of line and would have caused more harm had we continued. For us, Embark did more harm than good in just the short time we were there.
The therapists do seem to genuinely care and overall the program was ok for my daughter. However, there were some potential downsides that I do think other parents considering the care for their children should know: 1.… They encourage gender identity discussions. 2. Billing is confusing, unorganized and it's a very expensive program. 3. They strongly encourage the assistance of medication as part of the treatment plan. Hindsight, if I knew some of these issues, I may not have enrolled my child into the program. Overall, I think she's coming out ahead because of the assistance offered from the program - but I am still struggling with these 3 issues even though she has graduated the program. It's also a huge time commitment. I'm not listing that as a potential downside, as the mental health of my child was worth the time investment. Each family and circumstance is different, that was just our experience and my opinion.
