I went to peel back the layers of my life so I could change my future. Great program and Jacki is the absolute best! She’s a life saver and give-you-your-life-back therapist
This is an excellent program for anyone wanting to learn about mental health. It greatly helped a loved one with accountability, connection and direction.
If you’re researching a place to get treatment (and maybe have had bad experiences elsewhere), here’s my take. :) My journey at The Meadows was longer than most. I started in IOP, stepped up to PHP, then returned to… IOP. I’ve been in therapy for many years, and I feel the care I received here was better than anywhere else I’ve been. I went from being extremely depressed and anxious, suicidal, and stuck in OCD to a massive reduction in symptoms. When I do have symptoms, I can manage them much better. I’m also sober now, which wasn’t something I even intended to work toward when I started. I got a lot from the Meadows model. The curriculum is well-rounded, and I learned new ways of understanding myself and developed abilities to cope more effectively. The therapists are all great too, both in teaching the material and in individual sessions. In my experience, what sets them apart is how direct they are. No time is wasted getting to the real issues, setting goals, and keeping you in check. I found that I wasn’t left with much choice but to confront my problems and to work on them. In PHP, Bridget was my therapist, and she was amazing. The way she showed up for me and my group was a huge part of my ability to start doing the work. In IOP, I had Kayti, and she was also wonderful. She approached difficult topics with sensitivity, made it clear she was there to help when I slipped up, and always met me where I was, even when I showed up a complete mess on hard days. I never felt judged by her despite how bad I was struggling in the beginning. I honestly don’t think I could have made the progress I did without feeling supported by Kayti. Also, Kate (office coordinator) and June (administrative assistant) were SO lovely every single day. They are incredibly helpful, communicative, and kind. I wasn’t left alone to navigate any part of my care—they scheduled my appointments, kept me informed, and much more. The only issue I had wasn’t with The Meadows itself, but with the lab they use. I had weekly UAs, some of which were positive a substance I had no exposure to. I did some research and I think it may be because their cutoff levels are much lower than typical standards. I did appreciate how the therapists approached this—I was met with support and grace rather than judgment. Still, I had a nagging fear of testing positive at any time, and given my history with substances, this triggered my anxiety. Overall, my experience of the therapy here was top-tier, and I am so grateful to be doing as well as I am now. I feel much more equipped to handle life now. So thank you to everyone that was part of my journey! If you’re willing to put in the effort, go here. And if you’re not willing to put in the effort, maybe give it a shot anyway. That might change. :)
I’m a PMHNP and have truly enjoyed collaborating with Meadows Outpatient Center. I really value their thoughtful, holistic approach—it aligns closely with how I care for my clients. The individuals I’ve referred often… share how supported they feel and the meaningful progress they’ve made. The Meadows team is also wonderful to work with, making communication easy and continuity of care seamless.
As a therapist who is very picky with who he sends referrals to, Meadows Behavioral Health has done an amazing job with all the clients I've ever sent them. Their up-to-date curriculum that far exceeds most of their… programs have always given me confidence. My clients have always given me good reviews, their facility is clean, everyone I've ever met there is professional. Highly recommend to everyone in the area.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Matt Gaunt at the meadows, and his attention to detail and the care he puts into his clients are so admirable. He is in recovery and you can tell that he truly cares about the work… he does for the Meadows. I am grateful to him and the meadows for being pillars in the community! It’s always a good sign when a treatment center hires people with lived experience!
The staff at The Meadows have all been more than supportive of me during a very difficult time. I cannot thank them all enough for their kindness and support.
I came here for trauma rehab, it’s been a very educational and rewarding challenge on my journey of healing my inner child. The group therapy, 1-1 therapy, EMDR, neurofeedback, and art therapy are a great combination… for anyone on the road to recovery of anything.
I attended The Meadows for about 3 months back in the early Spring. It was a great experience! They have thoughtful staff members that genuinely care. They provided an environment that allowed me to focus on healing and… moving forward with my life. Some places have nonsense rules or staff that act like they're working at a detention center. This is not the case at The Meadows! They truly are the best in the area from what I've heard from my peers in recovery. Special thanks to Jeanette, Sharon, and Nicole. You guys rock!
Do not consider the Meadows for a loved one needing support and help with mental illness. After my loved one attended their PHP program and had some positive interactions with specific staff they suggested she needed "a… higher level of care" and recommended their inpatient program. The AZ Meadows program decided to reject her disregarding her experience in their out patient program and consultation with her therapist. They left her on her own and wouldn't consider her until she had "self soothing dbt skills". She has gone through 2 dbt programs over the past 6 years and we are dumbfounded. If you need to be able to self sooth before you attend their inpatient program why would their PHP program recommend their inpatient program? It makes no sense and pulls the carpet out of the hope their PHP program tried to offer. I have zero faith the Meadows can help with real trauma and their false sense of hope has caused more harm to someone who thought they might get the attention they need to process real trama.
Going here was was one of the worst decisions I have ever made, drunk or sober. Send yourself or your loved one anywhere else. I had the displeasure of going to both the Arizona main campus and here, pressured by AZ… staff into continuing "treatment" in Denver. The entire Meadows organization is an unethical money-making scheme. Laughable therapeutic modalities are deployed by their passive-aggressive staff. There is a cult-like fixation on their boss, Pia Melody, the multi-millionaire that owns this for-profit corporation. I am sober today by the grace of God, with no thanks to this organization. If you need help, get help that will have an impact on your life, not merely your finances.
I went to the Meadows IOP program in mid-2024 for mental health challenges (complex PTSD and insecure attachment). I had a very positive experience and found the integrated approach extremely valuable (education, group… discussion, yoga, Qi Gong, acupuncture, yoga, art therapy, individual therapy, access to a psychiatric nurse practitioner). The lead therapist was wonderful and staff was super kind. Only reason for 4 vs 5 stars was that most of the time was on group 'check-ins' which often took up most of the session + people coming and going in group which was necessary but disruptive. Most of participants are dealing with substance abuse (not my 'claim') so it's helpful to keep that in mind (although we all have similar core wounds!). Working with corporate finance on reimbursement was a complete nightmare (be aware and self-advocate) but I didn't want that nonsense to taint my therapeutic experience in Denver.
Im really enjoying my time at the meadows. It was great working with Mark in admissions he advocated for me and getting me the help I need! I’m looking forward to more support and time spent here on my journey to… wellness and recovery. Thank you guys!
They teach a challenging way of thinking but if you accept it, it is helpful. Thank you.
The meadows model works. The staff here in Denver is amazing and the programming is very helpful. In my experience, you get out of things what you put into them. If you're willing to do the work, this program can change… your life.
Starting PHP and IOP here was bumpy at first, trying to grasp what the concept of IFS/parts work was, however as time went on, it became more natural and easier to understand/implement. The staff were extremely nice and… respectful which really helped as I was nervous entering this program. I’d like to give a special thanks to Karina, Rob, and Stephen. Thank you for your hard work and dedication to your group members. Without y’all, I wouldn’t have made it as far as I did. Thank you, Meadows!
I would highly discourage anybody attempting to attend this facility, whether it be inpatient or intensive outpatient. You have been warned.

This place changed my life. I have been to two rehabs, and two outpatient centers, and almost gave up hope that treatment worked. I decided to give The Meadows in Denver a try and it was the best decision I have made in… a long time! I have addiction issues, PTSD, and developmental trauma, all very complex. I never felt safe. The therapists here really knew how to get me to safety so I could begin working on my trauma. I feel like a lot of treament centers say they are "dual diagnosis", but I never experienced that. I really only recieved help with my addiction, which left me repeating the cycle over and over, because I never got help with my trauma. I was in their PHP program for 6 weeks with Joe to establish safety. He is the BEST! Then a transitioned to IOP for 8 weeks to do the REAL trauma work. This is NOT easy! There will be times when you feel like you want to quit. I know I did, and there were several people who did. But something inside me told me to keep going and I am so glad I did. I truly believe the therapists here really know what they are doing. And, the program was so comprehensive, with neurofeedback, yoga, qui gong, and art therapy; all creating a very healing environment to do the hard work. The staff at the front desk was always so helpful and inviting and the psychatrist on staff was available and listened. I am forever grateful for my time here because my life hasn't been the same since. Thank you Meadows.
After refusing to attend treatment for a tertiary (or secondary issue at best) to focus on a primary issue, my family member was dropped from the program. The staff failed to follow through on leave of absence… documentation. When a person is in crisis and having trouble with executive processes, they need more assistance. This facility had no problem taking a fee and not actually providing the help that my family member desperately needed. Less than a week later, we ended up in the emergency room to get checked into another facility. The level of care at this other facility puts this one to shame. This outfit needs to be better than this.
