Rehabs That Take Muckleshoot Tribe

The Muckleshoot Tribe is a federally recognized tribe in Washington state, and coverage under this name may come through a tribal health plan. Drug and alcohol treatment may be covered, varying by plan and level of care.Treatment centers in Arizona, California and Texas list the Muckleshoot Tribe on their own websites. Tribal coverage can work alongside Indian Health Service rules, which often call for approval before care outside tribal clinics. No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

What is Muckleshoot Tribe insurance?

The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe is a federally recognized tribal government in Auburn, Washington, not an insurance company. It runs its own IHS-funded health system under a self-governance compact entered in 2003, Purchased/Referred Care for eligible patients, and a self-insured health plan for its roughly 4,050 employees.

Care is delivered through the Muckleshoot Health & Wellness Center and the Muckleshoot Behavioral Health Program, serving tribal members, dependents and other Native Americans near the reservation.

Tribal Funded Rehabhttps://rehabseekers.com/payment/state-funded/tribal-funded/
Does Muckleshoot Tribe cover rehab?

Yes, through its own programs. Muckleshoot Behavioral Health provides substance use assessment, outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, case management, DUI assessment, medication-assisted treatment, aftercare groups and recovery housing for adults 18 and older. Services are free to eligible clients, and inpatient care is arranged by referral.

Youth counseling and substance use treatment begin at age 6 through Family & Youth Services, reached at (253) 333-3605.

Outpatient Rehabhttps://rehabseekers.com/programs/outpatient/
Does Muckleshoot Tribe cover detox?

No, there is no medical detox unit at the Muckleshoot Health & Wellness Center. Detoxification is arranged by referral to an outside facility, and that care may be paid by Purchased/Referred Care when the patient is PRC-eligible and the service falls within current IHS medical priorities.

Start with the behavioral health business line at (253) 804-8752, or call Purchased/Referred Care at (253) 939-6648 extension 3350.

The Muckleshoot Indian Tribe is a federally recognized tribal government in Auburn, Washington that runs its own health and behavioral health services; it is not an insurance company and sells no plan to the public. When a treatment directory shows “Muckleshoot Tribe” as a payment option, what is meant is care paid or delivered by the Tribe’s own health programs rather than a card issued by a carrier.

There are three separate routes under that one name. The Muckleshoot Health & Wellness Center and Muckleshoot Behavioral Health Program deliver care directly under an Indian Health Service self-governance compact the Tribe entered in FY2003. Purchased/Referred Care issues purchase orders to outside providers for eligible patients when the service is not available at the Health & Wellness Center. Separately, the Tribe operates a self-insured health plan for its workforce, which the Tribe says covers roughly 3,900 benefit-eligible staff.

This guide covers which levels of substance use care the Tribe provides in Auburn, how an inpatient referral and Purchased/Referred Care approval work, what treatment costs under each route, which addiction medications the behavioral health program prescribes, and how to find a Washington program once a referral is in hand.
