Family Services – Kingston Detox and Rehab Services
Recorded services at Family Services – Kingston are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Family Services – Kingston Address, Location and Contact Information
Family Services – Kingston is located at 239 Golden Hill Lane in Kingston, New York, 12401. Ulster County covers this area. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. Where travel is difficult, ask whether an initial appointment can be held remotely. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Family Services – Kingston Reviews and Ratings
Read reviews of Family Services in Kingston from patients, their loved ones and professionals who know the program, with further reviews gathered from around the web.
I don’t normally write reviews, but the blonde young lady, I think her name was julia or julie at the front desk was so understanding, polite, and respectful to my wife and made us feel welcome. overall our experience… was wonderful, but she deserves credit where credit is due!
I had such a great experience thanks to the blonde girl working at the front desk. She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional from the moment I walked in. She answered all of my questions with patience,… made the whole process easy, and had such a positive attitude. Great customer service like hers really stands out and made my visit so much better. She deserves recognition for how kind and helpful she is!
I love this place...so far... my therapist so far is AMAZINGGGG.... (shout out to John). Gabriel also was very kind and actually listened and did not tell me to imagine I was on a beach somewhere... KUDOS to that lol.… The only issue I have is trying to get my medication resent. to another pharmacy and getting a hold of someone to tell them what the pharmacy needs was kind of frustrating, other than that!!! Will recommend :)
I highly recommend, Wendy is excellent
I don't know how things used to be, but I can say for myself that I have loved this practice. I have a wonderful therapist and they are very good at communicating with me. I honestly recommend this practice.
What you get out is what you put in here, I've found. Nearly every place is understaffed and overworked these days. Be prepared to be a strong advocate for yourself, and follow up to make sure meds get ordered,… appointments made, etc.
Please if anyone out there is struggling, I know its hard to find a therapist around Kingston for your insurance but PLEASE do not choose this facility. I had gone for months and left because no one their genuinely… cares about mental health. Just their paychecks. They'll change your therapist at the blink of an eye after months of treatment. Do yourselves a favor, this place will only worsen your mental health.
This "behavioral health center" is one of the most frustrating experiences I've had to suffer through mentally and emotionally. I watched a family member struggle to get service during a mental health emergency. We were… discharged from the hospital with a referral to Family Services where the communication was next to impossible. We couldn't get through most of the time to make an appointment and when we could, they were very far out. Then, when the date came they would either COMPLETELY FORGET AND DISREGARD the appointment or the psychiatrist could not figure out how to use zoom so would "reschedule" by having a receptionist call us to set it up. Which usually didn't happen. We were only really seen one time and were so rushed that the psychiatrist didn't even have a picture of my family member's symptoms and asked questions at the end that baffled me and made me realize she didn't even comprehend the medical history and then proceeded to write a prescription for medication...which was then never sent to the pharmacy. We called to try and understand what happened and couldn't get through. They were closed but supposedly had staff 24/7 for emergency situations but we couldn't get any help. Some serious medications can't be missed, especially after only recently being discharged from the hospital. We very nearly had to go to the ER. This facility is dangerous. We couldn't reach a supervisor to report our experience. AS OTHER REVIEWS HAVE SAID THE COMMUNICATION IS BEYOND TERRIBLE. I understand there is a mental health crisis and professionals are overloaded but when even the bare minimum can't be provided...don't accept new clients and play with their lives. We're doing much better with a specialist. I hope everyone struggling can get the help they deserve, don't give up
They are unreliable and extremely difficult to communicate with. When I moved here this was the first place I went for care; after a maddening year of issues I'm finally going somewhere else.
Since changing management it seems like nobody here knows what is going on. There's messy communication within the office and sometimes appointments are completely disregarded. Sadly the review score here really… reflects the management of the clinic. The staff is a really mixed bag (I had a good therapist and borderline malpracticing psychiatrist). Please look at other treatment options before going here as it just is not reliable at all.
This place ever since I have started going have always given me problems. The mental health staff is rude, and emotionless. And the scheduling staff DOES NOT know what they're doing!! I called them mid-June to schedule… an intake appointment. They said the soonest they had was July 31st!! And they said they would call if anyone had cancelled. So i kept it, and decided to wait. Come July 30th called there to confirm and they said my appointment wasnt in the system, and that on July 22nd that my case was cancelled without calling me or letting me be aware.
I love my therapist and my psychiatrist. I don’t understand why anyone would give this place a 1 star
I’m writing this review because of therapist I saw when I did my intake, I opened up about how I have postpartum depression and anxiety I told her I was scared someone would think I’m unfit and call cps she said she… wouldn’t call because I came and got help when I needed it. Then the next day she told me she did call cps. Now I have so much more stress then i did before. I have to have visit basically watching me to make sure I don’t do anything. I would recommend if they give u gattuso u walk out or ask for someone else. I will continue my therapy but not with that person.
