I called Sunday afternoon and spoke with the intake coordinator. I gave her tons of details. She told me they could send an uber. She said someone would get right back to me. I never got a call back. I called back an… hour later and again and again. At this point I’ve called probably twenty times at every number I can find for both locations. I’ve been to Beauterre twice recently am supposed to be going back. However c I tag to attend medical stents first. I cannot attend those medical stents anyway now that I was discharged from the hospital cardiac unit earlier this week and relapsed. Opioids and benzos. I’m getting sicker and sicker. I cannot call 911 and go to the emergency room like I had to more and explained all this. It’s now agonist 3an and the withdrawals are starting. Getting worse by the minute. It says open 24/7. I’ve called every number I can find both locations. I can barely be on my phone at this point, and I am extremely upset, because I was trying to avoid this exact situation from happening as I will be trapped in withdrawal at home and I’m going to end up taking Suboxone probably too soon. A 20 47 Detox Center should always be answering the phone or at least call people back when they say they’re going to. Due to my experience with Beauterre I didn’t call anywhere else as I thought Eosis was a good company. Now I wish I had called anywhere else.
I wanted to safely detox from perscribed medication, and not deal with another horror story at home ( a lot of mental health medication can cause an array of issues including seizures when stopped, even after tapering.)… Most of the staff was fantastic! They are engaging and do a great job! They are on top of it. You get a shared room, but you also get a TV in your room! Cooked meals that are restaurant cuisine style. Lots of snacks and hydration poweraid, to balance your electrolytes back. No limit as to how much to take. If you are a smoker, you can smoke whenever you want. Bring unopened packs, That includes vapes. They have nicotine patches and gum as well if you are quitting or cutting back. They clean the showers after each time a person uses it. Big selling point as hygiene is important. The facility is kept quite clean and is not gross in any manner. They give you comfort meds that can range from valium, muscle relaxers, Gabapentin, hydroxazine. As well as sleep meds if wanted. They carefully take vitals 3 times a day ( Make sure to go up when it is time and advocate for yourself.) Met a wide variety of diverse people with all sorts of different backgrounds. They take all kinds of insurence including MA. My only quarrel was one nurse ignored the signs of an oncoming seizure one of the guests was having. Which he ended up needing an ambulance to get him to the ER. While this can happen detoxing from anything at any facility ( the joys of the serious side effects of detoxing), that nurse can not brush it off as " hes fine". Ignoring people yelling around her. It could mean a life or death situation. There are different types of seizures and either more training needs to be done,or they have to listen to the several people around, saying something is off as he went unconscious. That is not " fine". A few days later someone voluntarily discharged( which can be dangerous and is advised against) was given a med and had an allergic reaction. I do not know if this was a new reaction he never knew about, or something in his chart was not read... Most of the nurses are always on top of it, quite careful, and do their job excellently. So I have my suspicions it could be that one nurse that was negeligent days prior. An ambulance took him to the ER as well. More centers need more than basic allergy meds as that was also potentially life threatening. That particular nurse should be held accountable. She needs to care about the people it could harm. I wish more funding could provide hospital grade IV drips, to manage discomfort if it is extreme or needed higher care to combat potentialcomplex cases. Many centers do not have doctors or equipment that can provide it due to funding. Overall a good experience. Better than many other detox centers I heard horror stories about. The room reminds me of some amenities you would get in a hotel.
Best detox in the tri-state area . Compassionate caring staff. (Except for the 1 crabby dry drunk cook. Smart tv In room . Smoking area in covered entryway . Can smoke anytime no waiting or asking staff for approval.… And can have cigarettes and lighter on you . Good food. Lots of snacks and powerade on hand 24/7. Comfort meds provided .. big bathrooms .. nice shower rooms and they help you get into treatment when done detoxing. If I could id give l0 stars. Gateway makes the withdrawal process as easy as it can possibly be. Love this place
Was fortunate enough to be in there with a solid group of patients and staff. Snacks are there for you along with cases of powerade in the eating area. Rooms have a bathroom and smart tv. Lots of good memories were… made. Thanks to the staff for making me feel I was finally building a foundation for a better life!
I cannot say enough good about this place. Every single staff member were caring and accommodating. The food is good too. If you need a place to get off drugs or alcohol i highly recommend.
I have been there over the years and they are a very welcoming and caring group that have saved many lives including my own. I have the highest respect for their detoxing and would recommend them as the #1 recovery… provider across the twin cities and in Minnesota. You have a TV with a bunch of movies on demand, a bathroom in the room, smoking room, nurse station all day and night, they are all great nurses and way more than qualified. Food is delicious and made by a chef there, can't speak highly enough of both chefs at the brooklyn park and inver grove locations. Counselor's actually want to help you and see you succeed. A 5 star place hands down. staff is excellent, couldnt ask for more than what they do to help you. snacks and other food and drinks, the list goes on and on. if you need to go to a detox this is the only one, or the inver grove heights one. if they have another location im not sure of but only go to gateway, im telling you go here, doesnt get any better and the beds are very comfortable as well.
If I could put 0 stars I would . We called to try to get my fiance help and a guy named Dan or something answered the phone and asked how he could help and the second my fiance said he needed help detoxing “boop boop… boop” he hung up on him . Like what the actual hell . Not ok .
Does this place help people who are currently taking methadone to only detox from fentynal not their methadone or benzo
A excellent place to go detox from whatever. Believe it or not the staff is kind, non judgemental, and really do care about you.Chef Jon is the best.
I went to the invergrove location and because of this place I am still sober 2 yrs later thankyou for saving my life!!!
Ben and Mandy are the best! I came in feeling absolutely awful. They were so helpful and went above and beyond helping me through everything. They made sure I was as comfortable as I could be and talked me through… everything! If it wasn’t for them I don’t think I would be sober today. shout out Ben and Mandy!!!!
10 days max. You get a room with a roomate a smart TV and bathroom. They push suboxone and will even go as far as to ask you to take it or leave. There's hot food 3x made fresh, snacks available 24/7. Bring pack of un… opened cigarettes to smoke and 2-3 changes of clothes. They give valum for alcoholics and push an array of "comfort meds".
Great people and support for my son.
Absolutely loved this place!!! Amazing staff and really awesome food!!! Highly recommend this place to anyone. Please don't hesitate. It's so worth going to and detoxing and they can help you with aftercare. Very… resourceful!
The detox was awesome..
A safe and understanding place to start on the road to recovery. The staff is awesome here!! 24/7 smoking patio, if you bring an unopened packs for your stay which is typically 5 days. 2 beds in each room and a nice TV!… Snacks available 24/7..chefs cook 3 meals a day. Delicious food and heart warming staff. I felt like a new person when I left there!! Thank you Gateway Brooklyn Park! I highly recommend this location!!!! Very hospitable! Very comfortable! Very loveable staff! I could go on and on..
Really great place to get help and detox ! If you’re willing to try
Great place great staff 👍
I was just discharged today after spending 5 days and 4 nights in there care and would highly recommend gatewayto anyone trying to seek help with coming off of any drugs or alcohol the nursing staff was hsnds down truly… amazing all the employees went above and beyond with doing everything they could to help keep us all comfortable as possible while we were going threw it the nurses truly care and made sure everyone got plenty of good comfort meds and in my case they were able to hook me with subutext which was a game changer for me. I was pleanstly suprised with how good the food was i didnt have one bsd meal while i was there and they also have plenty of different snacks and drinks that you can help your self to at anytime gateway also allows you to bring smokes as long as they are unopened when yiu arrive youbwill have to share a room but they Have a smart TV in every room and surprisingly pretty comfy beds with comfy blankets Nd pillows which was a huge for me personallly this place feels more like a higher end hotel then a detox center in my opinion if I ever have to go back to a detox facility hsnds down this is the only place for me oh and ask for Ben the nurse and tell him I sent yiy
Very nice facility! Round the clock attentive and compassionate nursing staff. 24/7 access to smoking patio (if needed), snacks and beverages. Rooms only hold 2 people with comfortable beds, a half bath and smart tv.… You must relinquish your cell obone but there are patient phones that make and receive calls that are available from 7am until at least 10pm (I dont remember the exact time the phonrs are off for the night) I was pleasantly surprised with my experience there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a medically supervised detox whete you will be kept as comfortable as possible! My only issue was there seemed to be some communication breakdown in regards to.when I was going to be discharged. This caused a bit of rustration and anxiety on my part. My discharge date was pushed out an entire day without anyone informing me so I'd recommend being overly communicative to ensure you and the staff are on the same page! Otherwise it was a great experience!
Really excellent staff, caring and thorough. Glad they search patients on intake and ensure nothing is being brought into the facility. Staff provides meals and is really just exceptional
