Human Services Inc – Thorndale Detox and Rehab Services
What Human Services Inc – Thorndale offers, on record, is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Sessions follow a set timetable while people keep living at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
Only one side is on record here, so ask directly if both are needed. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Human Services Inc – Thorndale Address, Location and Contact Information
You will find this provider at 50 James Buchanan Drive, Thorndale, Pennsylvania, 19372. Thorndale sits in Chester County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. Remote appointments may be possible where travel is a barrier. If the first call does not reach anyone, try again at a different time of day rather than assuming the service is closed.

My experience with Victoria Muscari at Human Services was extremely upsetting. I came into the interaction expecting compassion, professionalism, and at the very least, to feel heard. Instead, I walked away feeling… small, dismissed, and insignificant. Her demeanor came across to me as uncaring and nonchalant during a situation that was incredibly important and emotional for me. I did not feel that my concerns were being taken seriously, and rather than leaving the conversation feeling supported or understood, I left feeling worse than when it began. When someone is reaching out to a human services professional, compassion matters. The way you speak to someone, the tone you use, and whether you make them feel heard can have an enormous impact. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite of what I would expect from someone working in this field. No one seeking help or advocating for themselves or their family should walk away from an interaction feeling belittled or made to feel tiny. That is exactly how I felt after my experience, and it is something I will not forget.
I wish I had looked at these reviews before trying to call to schedule an appointment. I have never felt more small in my life than when trying to seek mental health resources and talked down the way I was by this… receptionist. Their information isn’t even remotely up to date in health insurance apps. They don’t take insurance and yet I got their info as an in network provider from my insurance company. If I could leave zero stars I would. If you are seeking mental health resources, look anywhere else.
Don’t waste your time.
Now that I've had care here for nearly a year, I just want to say a few things. My medication management is great and I am thankful for it, but my experiences with therapists here has not been the best. My first… therapist, Dave, was absolutely wonderful; however, he moved states, and someone else took me on as their client. My next therapist, Stephanie, was also very kind, I just felt personally I did not "click" with her. I stated I wanted a new therapist and instead was told that my BPD is "too much" for any other therapist at this establishment to handle, and that I would need a PHP. In essence, I was practically kicked out of therapy for my personality disorder being too difficult to manage by a professional whose job is to help manage such disorders, was told to go through with finding a PHP, and was given no help or referrals to any PHP around whatsoever, after being told over the phone someone would help me find a program. I also want to say Lisa at the front desk is absolutely wonderful and it is always a pleasure seeing her. I'm not sure if my reviews matter much at all, but I hope it can help someone else with BPD be aware and weary of being "too honest" with these people. Getting kicked out of therapy and told I am basically too much unprompted and out of nowhere altered my everyday life, as I do not manage well without a therapist. This is just my honest review and experience. Other than the therapist issue, the care I have received here has been great, especially by my previous therapist Dave. I miss him a lot.
Unable to refill my daughters medicine because the nurse practitioner has not called it in, despite daily reminders. No direct phone number for her, no idea who her supervisor is, totally unacceptable . At this point… she has run out of the medication. Dangerous, totally avoidable, situation. Finding another agency.
This place is terrible. Latoya the receptionist is rude, unprofessional and her supervisor Vanessa is just as trifling. Therapist Judy is phenomenal though. She truly cares about everyone she comes in contact with and… is honestly the only reason I put up with them.
I seen a therapist previously in 2022 when my insurance was expired the therapist told me it didn’t expire and I can continue seeing her free of charge, recently I was involved in something which made me reach back out… for therapy. They mailed me intake forms I filled out and mailed back next thing I know they mailed me a bill from 2022 for $400 and MEGAN WILL NOT ANSWER HER PHONE IVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT THEM FOR A MONTH
Haven’t heard back from anyone
Doesn't call custmer back
I’m so thankful for this service it has been beyond a blessing to my family. My guy Karieff Smith is always there when I need him!! Goes above and beyond making the process so much more comfortable!!
I went for intake ....they have yet (1month) to call me back to let me know who my therapist was going to be and when my first appointment with that person would be I've called them four times. I guess my mental health… is not a concern to them. 4yrs waiting and still no call🤷🏼♀️
Waiting list is horribly long
Pleasant experience because I have excellent help.
Never return calls!
They started my appointment on time.
Very nice people very caring and understanding
I have been going through awful withdraw symptoms and have had to miss work due to it, due to abruptly stopping my medication because of the failure of this practice to fill my medication on time, I have yet to get my… medication after contacting them time and time again. sadly i don’t have any more options but if you do have other places your insurance takes, I highly recommend staying far away from this place.
Human services helping people
Steer clear from this establishment. Typically state insured place. Don't care about you or your feelings. Was seeing someone until they told me me time was up cause my therapist was getting promoted and I asked for… another therapist... well they never reached out to me, even after many attempts to email my pervious therapist.. 1 reply with no follow ups and once again nobody reaching out to schedule. Found a new therapist and this person use to work for Human Services and they even agreed they are horrible. Do yourself a favor.
I go here and not ashamed to say it they have helped me so much with my mental health the reception are very nice as well as my case manager and the doctor if you need to go to a mental health office please choose here… awesome people very clean
