Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems – Exton Detox and Rehab Services
Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems – Exton appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems – Exton Address, Location and Contact Information
You will find this provider at 467 Creamery Way, Exton, Pennsylvania, 19341. This address falls in Chester County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. Public transport, parking and the length of the journey all affect whether someone completes a course of treatment, and they are worth settling before the first appointment rather than after.
It is worth calling first to confirm access, parking and the shape of a first visit. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Reception hours vary, so a call that goes unanswered once is worth repeating rather than treating as a dead end.

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems – Exton Reviews and Ratings
Reviews of Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems bring together what patients, families and referring professionals have said about the facility, on RehabSeekers and around the web. Individual experiences differ, so read more than one.
I like holcomb behavior health. It has great case mangers that help with crisis, getting into day program and housing. And Micheal t. my new casemanger is very help ful and does the job right. And this i recommend this… place because they helped me for years for mental health recovery and teaches me to cope with problems and stays out of inpatient care for a while.
Everyone at the Front desk to the Doctor to my Therapist has been great. Have had good care at Holcomb
I attended treatment for more than I year at the Holcomb Phoenixville location for more than a year. Whenever possible make sure you understand the length of your treatment plan. My therapist was less than forthcoming… and failed to explain my discharge plan. After a year of treatment and hundreds of dollars in billing, I was discharged without any documentation of my completion of the program. The group programming was helpful. The individual treatment not so much.
My brother was sobbing on the phone, talking about the stuff these people have done to him. We will be filing a complaint with the county.
After over 6 years with Holcomb’s IBHS services, my son’s services were ended in May. I was told he no longer needed support—despite his serious (documented) trauma history and clear ongoing struggles. At the time we… even had suggestions for higher level of care. Since services stopped, his behavior has worsened, he’s not doing well in school, and has had many emotional outbursts. I also never received an updated evaluation despite it being completed in May and a promise that I'll get it shortly. The new supervisor has been unresponsive and dismissive, and communication has been poor throughout. She only responded after they ended the services. Speaking with upper management did not help. Right now my son needs more help than ever, and I feel completely let down by the organization that was supposed to support and help us. The only reason i gave them 2 stars is because we were lucky enough to have an amazing mobile therapist for 4 years who unfortunately left the company. Otherwise, I would have given them 1 star.
Absolutely terrible.
Everyone there is very caring. That is all I want when it comes to mental. I don't know why everyone hates this place
I came here years ago and only for a few months before deciding not to come back— the male therapist I spoke to clearly isn’t very well versed about how to speak to autistic patients or in general to female patients,… especially those who are SA survivors. He attempted to question my autism I am actually diagnosed with (since childhood!) and spend a session with me nitpicking my autism traits comparing them to the traits in the DSM. When I wasn’t even seeing him for help with autism. Yet he stated suspecting I had borderline personality disorder, which nothing wrong with those who have that but I have never been diagnosed with that by anyone else nor has anyone else suggested I had it. But he couldn’t believe I have autism which I have an actual diagnosis of! Oh and he also asked if I truly believe my sexuality (as a queer woman) is legitimate or if I just believed in it because of being SA’ed by my first boyfriend (which I had told him about, but again, also not what I was even seeing him for) 🙃
Stated at the beginning of the appointment (in fact, a week prior..) that I want to see a psychiatrist for med management for Adhd and stated the meds I'm prescribed. Wastes my time going through a bunch of pointless… questions only to say at the end "We don't prescribe addictive substances here. Ok? Thanks bye." What? They don't care about your mental health at all, aside from the fact he could've told me this in the beginning, he didn't even offer any other meds or anything. My therapist is great, but psychiatry here is a waste of time
I have been trying to seek mental health for over a year and keep getting turned away. The workers are rude and don’t work with you at all.. do not go here!
I wanna give it one star because every therapist I has was not good at all but it got 2. I gave it 2 because I genuinely enjoyed my psychiatrist there. I missed an appointment because I was at work and I tried to call… my therapist back 5 times and she never once answered the phone. She overall just wasn't that great in my opinion.
This is based on 2 interactions with Sandy. WHY IS THIS PERSON WORKING IN HEALTHCARE? She talks over you and practically yells at you over the phone. It’s off-putting. People like Sandy should not be helping people who… are trying to get help regarding mental health.
I’ve been a patient at Holcomb Behavioral Health for almost 4yrs. I have never had an issue with anyone and I can be a difficult person. I’m a Gemini ♊️ so my evil twin is always trying to peek out to take over. My… therapist has helped my family and I tremendously! The receptionist - OMG! I haven’t seen her since the pandemic but when I have to physically go into Holcomb this awesome lovely lady always ask me about my son and ask how I’m doing. I Love Holcomb for more reasons than that. I Love Holcomb because they help me navigate through life when life kicks me down. Holcomb changed my life and my children's live for the better. I feel bad that other people's comments are judgmental. I think that people are so closed minded now & days. So, if you’re a patient at Holcomb then don’t give up! Because I swear I recommend this life changing facility to anyone that needs mental health support. I wish everyone the best on their journey. GOD Bless You All! 🙏🏾
Disgusting service. Have policies in place not mandated by the state or federal government and refusal to treat anyone on a case by case basis. Denying care to someone who is in desperate need, who has been waiting 2… months to get into a program. Because he has another diagnosis (which he is already receiving help for in a program that is ongoing), they refused unless the provider was certified in the other diagnosis. To put simply if someone has heart disease and cancerous freckles and they are already seeing a specialist for the heart disease, The cancerous freckles doctor can’t see him unless he is also a doctor for heart disease. Doesn’t make sense does it?
I did not attend therapy here, because they were completely booked for months. Very busy practice. However, I spent 15 minutes on the phone with Nina, and she gave me expert referrals. Her customer service skills are… incomparable: thank you!
They, just don't care. Always looking for a way to terminate your services
Horrible experience. Do not recommend if you have serious mental health issues. Psychiatrists have no care in the world for your well being. They force you to take medications that do not work while lowering the… medication that helps. They will not listen or work with you. For anyone with a mental disability or others having problems due to there lack of caring or professionalism. Look and call Psychiatrists near you and ask if they do. Self Pay Rate. Meaning you pay out of pocket for there services since they wont take your insurance. It is costly at first but your mental health is also very important. That is what I had to do I am so glad I did. So just passing along information that hopefully will help those who truly want help to better there quality of life.
My Dr retired and this Dr discontinued 2 medications I’ve been on for nearly 20 years fo not reason! If I’m stable why would you put me at such jeapordy?
Do not waste your time with these people. The administration are a bunch of greedy suits and it trickles down to how everyone is treated here ...
My therapist is amazing!
I'm wondering if there is a clause for staff members to have relationships with patients you would think that is unethical or wrong
I regularly attend therapy session . Christian Geirrson is by far THE BEST therapist I've ever seen.
Wow! The amazing receptionist she is very polite, professional & empathetic. You can tell when it's someone's job but this is her personality. She even addresses each client by their name! WoW! That is Awesome! & well… Appreciated! Especially working in a delicate environment like that its tough! The receptionist is 1 main reason why I keep coming back! Thank You!🤗💞🙏➕
