About Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Ctr – Claymont
Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Ctr operates from 2999 Philadelphia Pike in Claymont. The site sits in New Castle County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. Nearby communities include Arden, Ardencroft and Ardentown. Delaware draws people across long distances for treatment, so travel time is worth weighing against waiting time.
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care are delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, an opioid treatment program and telehealth appointments. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Ctr
Intensive outpatient and outpatient care run to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.
Buprenorphine and methadone are available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Ask what happens at the end of the program as well as the beginning, since that is where plans usually thin out. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Claymont comprehensive is a very good treatment center that has helped me on my recovery journey a lot, thank you 2 the front desk lady for always being nice and my counselor Billy and also Rachel who has helped me… before. Jocelyn was also a very good counselor before she left. - Labi
This is one of the best decisions I've made concerning my recovery. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Awesome place and it has helped me overcome alot! And very nice people there! Definitely recommend
I've been going to Claymont treatment center for 3 years. They are very friendly and very nice I can say if I never call them when I did I will be here today
This is actually the best clinic I’ve gone to, I’ve been here 2 years, and I’ve been to multiple clinics all over the tristate area. They operate on a true harm reduction model without being enablers. My counselor Jenna… has been one of the best counselors I’ve had in my whole journey. You won’t regret choosing this clinic for your recovery.
I’ve had several instances where this facility gave me my life back. After a prolonged illness and substance abuse that left me bed ridden and from a normal 6’3” 210 pound body that had dwindled to 116 pounds, I woke up… from a medically induced coma, intubated and teetering between darkness and light with the ventilator breathing for me. Two helicopter transports, total body failure, it was a miracle I even woke up. I started off at a clinic that was close to the hospital that saved me with defibrillators and cpr. Broken ribs and the whole deal. After stabilizing I was able to get back home, still stuck in a wheelchair and reliant on family for food and care. I was able to transfer to Claymont and after a few weeks being back I was able to stand on my own again. Now showering alone while in a shower chair, I was slowly regaining independence, albeit minimum. But in time with the help of Darren, the entire staff, the outside sources they guided me to including psychologists and peers, I was able to get myself back on track. I found myself again. I sat in a bed for a year, unable to stand, eat, walk or go to the bathroom for weeks on end. I ended up flat lining 3 separate times. All I ever wanted and desired was another chance and I swore to myself if I was ever given one I’d never look back. I’m coming up on a year and I am beyond thrilled with my entire support base, my counselor and the entire Claymont staff that helped me get to this point. I’m working, I’m driving, I can walk my dogs for miles! Things that were a pipe dream a year ago are my reality today. With the xylazine and medetomidine being laced into every dose out there, this was 100% not an easy transition. Understand you have to want to be a better you. Nobody can help you but you. They can guide you and give you the tools but YOU have to be willing to fight for yourself and work like never before. They lay out the blueprint, you have to build the structure. But they will help you every step. If you love yourself and you’re ready, Just try. Give it a shot. They actually care about what happens to you. Treat them with respect. I know it’s hard when you’re in the beginning stages. You’re angry. Irritable. Tired. Weak. But all of that is temporary. You will begin to feel alive, at ease, strong and confident if you give yourself the chance to live. It’s an amazing facility with an amazing staff. You can do this and they can guide you. This is a place that can change your life for the better. A warm smile always waiting when you walk in. They can help you find out why or what it is that has gotten you so lost. The nurses and counselors always have an open door and an ear to lend. Rose, Jen, Darren. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve helped me achieve and I just hope if you’re out there somewhere reading this, that my experience will give you the courage to pick up the phone and ask for help. You can do this. Let them help you. You won’t regret it.
They provide good behavior and addiction services. Out of all my councilors Rachael Mills is the best. Caring, respectful and will help you when needed.
The very first person I met here was my wonderful counselor Rachael Mills. Rachael has been the most kind and compassionate person I've ever spoke with in a medical setting. I was very nervous during my evaluation and… she was so patient with me. I was met with such kindness and understanding, as well as encouragement! Rachael has such a great sense of humor and that is so helpful when it comes to an anxious person like me. Being able to laugh during anxious moments helps so much and it truly eases the stress of everything. Rachael has been so attentive to all of my concerns, and she has done so with such grace and compassion! She goes above and beyond when it comes to anything I need or finding answers to questions I may have. Not only am I thankful for Rachael, but the entire staff has been very nice to me and that goes a long way! Everyone that I interact with when I come here is always so kind and welcoming! I highly recommend Claymont Comprehensive Treatment Center if you're looking into something like this. You can be sure you'll be met with the exact care you need all while being treated with respect and support!
I go to CTc in Sussex county and Ms Danielle is my counselor and she is the best she really saved me from my addiction and she is just the best at what she does.
This place let me go for MONTHS without billing my insurance. And not letting me know that my insurance wasn't paying. Then made me sign a grant program which paid my bill. I had great insurance. Long story, I lost my… insurance. Then a month later they give me 2 weeks notice that the grant was ending and I was going to have to self pay $200 a month just to see the dr. I hope they get SUED when dozens of ppl go back to their addiction. something shady is going on there. I've never seen anything like this. It's not right
I hav been going here for the past 1 year and half everyone is great friendly and helpful. Jenna Mahalik my case manager is super intelligent and knows her stuff. She gets an A from me keep up the work Jenna you have… helped me to where I’m at today gracias
This place have saved my life. First I want to the staff is extremely extremely nice and helpful. They also take a few insurance, so if you have insurance just ask if they take. It I've been coming here 4 years and I… can't believe that I don't use anymore! Me, my family, friends and peers are all happy for me and really supportive. They also offered me a grant so I don't have to pay for my co-oay which normally 45.00 a week. The counselors are very polite and non-judgmental. I can't thank this staff enough and how much they mean have good they are to me.. Thank you Claymont treatment Center And Tiffany me and my gmily a lot too. Thank you all of you.
From the Secretary at front “Jeliza” to my counselor and all the nurses without exception; I want to truly thank them for always treating me with dignity and kindness through this process.
I've been a patient there for 10 years and have my couselor for the last 2 yeats has been Rachel Mills; she is an innately empathetic person and this trait has made her an absolute invaluable member of my overall health… care. She is a wonderful listener and knows exactly how to steer some of my ADD tangents during our individual sessions. For example, since January of 2023 when I contracted covid, I have been suffering from really bad brain fog which quite frequently makes me forget what I am talking about, midsentence (a very frustrating and quite embarrassing occurrence). I am also going through a very recent and serious medically diagnosis, but without ever me asking her to accommodate me in any special way, at the end of our last session she handed me a post-it note with the bullet points of what we talked about and steps I need to take next that she had been jotting down without me noticing since our session started. It was the most touching and kind acts anyone has ever done for me. Another example is that she also has been amazing dealing with my near constant short term memory issues while we talk and she notices when I started to lose track of thought and she will very casually steer me vack to what I was just talking about, allowing me to remember the point I was initially trying to make, without embarrassing me or even making me aware. I have been working on this for 35 years and have been in and out of therapy since I was 16, and traits like Rachel's simply cannot be taught. It is simply who Rachel is as a person, and it is what makes her such an wonderful and effective counselor. And I have never been so moved and touched by those 2 simple accommodations that she initiated without me ever having to ask. It was one of the most simply and kindest things anyone has done for me aside from siblings and immediate family. I've been seeing psychiatrists, therapists, psychologists, doctors, etc.. in the last 30 years. Most people will never have more than one session with such a couselor of her quality.
I have been in treatment since 15. Drugs since 11. Born in Kengsington 1957. I have been of HERION 26 years. Had a family. Home. Nice life. In 2000 I fell hard. 6 months REHAB Florida. Since 2000 I had a few years… clean. Never got it. I learned how to get clean but not stay clean. I Came to Claymont from Crozier. What a difference. The Counselors allowed me time to talk every day. Jenna helped me save my life my Counselor 2nd time around. Tiffany was my 1st. Daren was there also, he is a great teacher..I heard this time that if I want to stay clean I have TO CHANGE EVERYTHING. I GOT BOOKS AND GOT HELP TO UNDERSTAND THINGS. THE COUNSELORS NEVER SAID GO AWAY, COME BACK TOMORROW. I GIVE MY SOBER LIFE TO CLAYMONT I DID THE WORK. COUNSELORS LOVED ME AND LISTENED. I AM BLESSED TO BE HERE.
I have worked closely with The group of counselors and I have to say they are really up to the task they don't have a down time they say that they don't take their work home but these counselors work very hard and I can… see after speaking with them . I have been clean for years now because of their help and their guidance after I've completed there program they don't just leave me go out the door they let you know that they're always here for you My counselor was Jenna maglik
I absolutely love this place!! I can’t help but wonder what took me so long to find it! I can say without a fact I look forward to come in everyday.. This place is hands down the best Treatment Facility in Delaware. The… staff is Excellent knowledgeable and genuinely care about the patients. The Director and Clinical Supervisor are Top Tier if you don’t believe me come see for yourself!
In an overall look this center is great for us in recovery to stay clean. The building is kept clean. It smells good and the staff definitely does their job. Everyone is great but I want to take a second to thank 2… people who have really helped me in my struggle. First jeliza without her I wouldn't be able to get my Lyft and uber rides to the clinic and she handles all my insurance information and work so that I don't have to and that's huge to me because I struggle with them. So she does it all and I can just come get dosed and be out. Thank you for being awesome and always doing your job. Another is my counselor Jenna, not only does she listen to my struggles staying sober and My stressors in my life but if I need help or more information about anything she does the research and emails me so that I have everything I need. I only put it at 4 stars because there's a man who you have meetings with for take homes and often times it's not what he says but how he says it and he could talk to us way more kindly but with him it feels like he judges you still for your past and talks to you like your a child and it makes it hard for me to believe I am viewed as a regular person in his eyes and it's discouraging. I feel like he doesn't trust us fully with the take homes and it makes me feel like I'll never be viewed as a sober person who's done way better than where she was. Other than that particular person I'd pick coming here rather than any other place 10/10.
I’ve been going to CTC since January and Ms. Katrina is my counselor. She has always been amazing and went above and beyond to help me. Mr. Darren Brown is another counselor there that has been very welcoming from the… beginning and has always been very supportive. It’s counselors like this that make it easy for me, a single mother and an addict in recovery, to keep moving forward despite any obstacles.
I have been attending Cñaymont TX Ctr. For over 15-17 1/2 yrs. They have been extremely hospitable Positíve vibes only. And they are here ONLY there to make your revovery as smooth as possible into Sobriety.Miss Nina( my… counselor and Miss Tiffany añways smiling. And our NURSES ARE THA BOMB! It IS more like a little family away from yours...They ROCK!!!
BEWARE, DO NOT GO HERE. THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY DONT CARE IF I RELAPSE, THATS NO LONGER ANY OF THEIR CONCERN. I WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION AND REPORTING THE ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES THAT TAKE PLACE, ON A STATE AND FEDERAL… LEVEL! SICKENING
Nina walker & all of Claymont Compehensive Center are warm, uplifting, compassionate, & supportive defenitely recommend this treatment center to everybody
My counselor miss nina is Not just here her job, but she takes her job and she cares about her patience. She's very open. She never tells. You no, and she makes sure she tells you what you need to hear and It's not what… you wanna hear. She wants the best for you. She opens herself up to mean she's awesome and so Are the rest of the staff members but she's the best
Definitely recommend..been here for a few years now .the staff are great very professional..Ive had a few counselors in the past but my current one Ms. Millar is by far the best..very professional, easy to talk to which… is very important in recovery because having to be honest about your past /addiction can be very difficult if your not comfortable with your counselor.. You can tell being there is not just a paycheck to her she really does care and it shows..She's the best!
Honestly, this place helped save my life! Yes they are a business, one that requires payment, but the requirements and obligations are minimal - as long as you are serious about your own recovery. you're the only one… that can really change your own life! And if you also work full time this is the place for you. Also, let me just say, Rachael is my counselor and she is the best!! I look forward to, and enjoy, my sessions with Rachael. I know I'm not the only one that feels that way because others are excited to see her as well! You can see she is passionate about her job, that she cares and she is good at it!! So, thank you Rachael for all you do!!!
My experience with this treatment center is Wonderful and that has A lot to do with My counselor, Tiffany Millar . She makes me feel safe to talk about my life screw ups and she teaches me new ways to change my way of… dealing with hard life issues ,she makes it Easier to keep trying to stay clean and for that, I am so grateful for her and her guidance . Tiffany actually Listens to me . Because of her and the great Support staff ( Mr. Carl) and Nurses, I will keep going back and keep trying.
I have been going to this treatment center for over 5 years. I went through many counselors and some were great and some needed to wake up and understand life. Today I can honestly say that I have the best counselor in… the world of recovery!!!! Tiffany is not great she in fact there is not a word to describe how amazing this lady is she knows how to relate and get you on the right track. If your on the road to recover Claymont Treatment Center is the place to go!!!! Thanks Tiffany for dealing with all my drama I am forever grateful for you being you!!!! Don't stop doing your magic your destine to help others heal and thrive to be the best they can be!!!!! I could probably write a book on Tiffany on her amazing knowledge and skills to help others thrive and succeed but google only allows so many words. Thank You Tiffany your the best!!!! Category is best counselor and the crowd has chosen Tiffany!!!!!!!
Claymont Treatment Center helped me when every other form of treatment failed. My only regret is not going sooner. It would have saved me wasted time and money. CTC is located in a nice area off a major roadway and… right over the Delaware border, so it's easily accessible to residents of the tri-state area. The entire staff is professional and friendly. But the frontline staff is amazing. My counselor, Rachael, is the best counselor at CTC, in my opinion. I've learned your counselor can make or break your treatment, and Rachael has undoubtedly made mine a success. She genuinely cares about her patients, is empathetic, professional, and competent in her job. I can say with confidence that without staff like Rachael and nurses like Rose, I would likely have left treatment early to my detriment. With every service, inevitably, there will be positive and negative reviews. I can only speak for myself. When I say Claymont Treatment Center has been an integral part of my recovery, I sincerely mean it.
This center has helped me realize beyond my addiction I am still a person whose feelings and views matter! They’ve treated me with care. From my counselor all the way to the nurses I’ve never been judged or treated like… trash all because I fell into addiction! They keep it clean, smells good, friendly staff and an area for your children! I’m so grateful to be getting clean at this particular center! 10/10 I recommend.if you get the chance to meet Jenna or Rosa they are super special and close to my heart !
I wouldn’t be alive today without the help of this place. My counselor Rachel is the best. I look forward to my sessions with her. She goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are successful in their treatment… program. The nursing staff are friendly and very helpful with any questions you might have.
