It Takes A Family – Bridgeton Detox and Rehab Services

It Takes A Family – Bridgeton appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Unprofessional- Was rescheduled twice hours before the appointment would not recommend. The therapist is the one who rescheduled both times and told me that she wasn’t aware she rescheduled her perviously. This seems to… be a common issue with It Takes a Family- If you don’t have the staff or coverage maybe this company should no longer be open! You are supposed to be there to help and you cancel more appointments than you are talking!

I’m writing this review based on my experience with this practice as both a parent and a patient. When my 12-year-old daughter was under the care of the psychiatrist here, appointments were always scheduled according to… the doctor’s convenience, not the patient’s. The time frame repeatedly did not work for our family, and when I asked if it could be adjusted, I was consistently told that the doctor was “too busy.” While I understand that professionals have demanding schedules, it was disappointing to feel that a young patient’s needs were not given much consideration. In addition, I was also a patient of this practice. I had believed my psychiatrist was someone who genuinely cared about her patients’ well-being. However, during a very difficult time when I experienced a severe reaction that was later determined to be a medication side effect, I did not feel supported. I was sent to the hospital in crisis, where I was admitted, and it was only there that the issue with the medication was recognized. Overall, I did not feel the level of support, attention, or responsiveness that patients—especially a child—deserve. I hope this feedback encourages improvements in communication, scheduling flexibility, and patient support.

I have and continue to have a wonderful experience at ITAF. My therapist Ms. Tiffany is truly amazing! She is compassionate, supportive and encouraging. She believes in me and she is helping me learn to believe in… myself. Dave at the front desk is always so polite and when I was lost trying to find the office he patiently stayed on the phone with me until I arrived! My medication nurse has also been compassionate and supportive. I honestly love ITAF!!!

"As always, thank you for your wisdom!" is my phrase I tell my Therapist every time she counsels me. Non judgemental towards my dark side; therefore, she teaches me to understand it. Awesome sense of humor, she's one of… the best I've ever had for my BP Disorder. I highly recommend her, hands down. ITAF good job hiring her!!

Wow absolutely the worst Counseling office I've ever had the displeasure of coming to. The office is often dirty and they never answer the phone!!! Several times the counselor called in sick and our appointment was… cancelled for our son. On top of that the Counselor in question said she would be here for a long while to establish a trusting relationship within my son and two weeks after saying this She's gone. On to the next better paying job. Here's my favorite part, on a few occasions we had family emergencies and needed to cancel our appointment and SURPRISE no one answered the phone!!!! Now today the tool of a receptionist calls me and tells me they are charging me for missed visits. I don't think so... I shut that down immediately! I will be reporting this office to the State Medical Board, American Medical Association as well as the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself the aggravation and look elsewhere for care... You'd have better luck talking to the drug addicts that hang on It takes a families corner of the street. Smdh

Was refer from a good therapist to come because they would help after a 3rd session of therapy but we are still on waiting list just wish they wouldn’t hide stuff and be upfront about things so my daughter can get what… she’s need so she can relax and be focus in school

This place never returns phone calls has about 10 excuses why they can't answer. God forbid you are running a bit late they never answer then have the nerve to cancel your appointment. Bottom line...don't go here

I had a very pleasurable experience. Our counselor was Miss Reynolds. She was very knowledgeable and both my son and myself felt very at ease comfortable in her presence.... I highly recommend It Takes A Family.… Especially if Miss Reyonlds is a representation of the type of counselors they employ.
