Kaiser Permanente – Tacoma Detox and Rehab Services
Kaiser Permanente – Tacoma appears on the register for intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Which of these is appropriate depends on an assessment, not on what sounds manageable at the time.
The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

Kaiser Permanente – Tacoma Address, Location and Contact Information
Kaiser Permanente – Tacoma operates within Tacoma, Washington. Pierce County covers this area. The catchment reaches beyond the city itself. How someone gets there matters more than it sounds: travel is one of the commonest reasons a course of treatment stops partway.
A quick call before you go will settle directions, parking and what to expect first time. If getting there is hard, ask about a remote first appointment. Where no one answers, leaving a message and calling again later usually works better than giving up.

Kaiser Permanente – Tacoma Reviews and Ratings
Reviews for Kaiser Permanente are drawn from around the web and from RehabSeekers itself, where patients, loved ones, healthcare workers and referring professionals can share their experience of the Tacoma program.
The staff was friendly and professional which feels really good when you're sick. The facility was clean and the wait was short.
I have some serious symptoms but not acute enough to go to the urgent care. It will be over a month and half before anyone, even a nurse practitioner, can see me. I am so glad my company is switching from KP next year.… premiums keep rising, and services keep sinking.
The doctors I’ve seen here are just great - friendly, personable and genuinely concerned about your problems. And not too hard to get in either.
I have been a member if Kaiser /Group Health for almost 40 years. I was never treated bad at the Urgent care until Kaiser Bought Group Health. Now I wont ever go there at all. It is always the most horrible treatment I… can ever experience when it comes to emergency medical care. This is coming from a person who loves all of the other care I recieve from the Doctors at Kaiser. It was much better when it was Group Health but its ok for now. Unfortunately I dont usually see a Doctor when seeing anyone now that it is Kaiser. Kaiser has chosen to use Physician assistants. Which can be hired for less. So once the?Physician Assistants get experience working for Kaiser they usually leave to get better paying jobs elsewhere. It is a shady way to save money in my opinion. Group Health Diagnosed me with Multiple Sclerosis. Delivered my premature Twins. And Diagnosed my 18 year old with Bladder cancer. A cancer that does not happen to many 18 year old! He had the cancer surgically removed right away and as his doctor told me after his surgery, it was a speed bump in life for him and he was over the bump! Has been cancer free since and is now 40! I had Lung cancer three years ago in Oct. It was found by me getting an MRI of my Head and Spine to check for Multiple Sclerosis lessons. They saw no MS lessons on the MRI. They did see a Large Tumor in my Right lung though! Two weeks later I had the Tumor and 1/4 of my right lung removed. So by the end of Nov I too was cancer free! That is the type of service I call incredible! And why i stay with Kaiser. I wont though if I see things changing to save a dime on making the service as great as its been for me and all 4 of my now adult Children (all in 30s and 40s with children of their own now. Who all of them saw the Same Pediatrician from Birth in the?hispital until they became adults and the Pediatrician retired!! That is how much I believe and trust in my care from Group Health and now Kaiser. Please do not start changing the quality of care or your expectations or choosing less qualified and skilled Doctors and nurses or not hiring enough staff or overworking the staff until they are all exhausted and honestly not fit to be doing their jobs. We as patients deserve the best and most qualified and happy unstressed workers who are working with us, the patients relying on these people to help us to get the best information and care. Sincerely Toni Salinas A Patient.
Professional, knowledgeable, & courteous staff.
Kaiser does an excellent job hiring caring and exceptional staff and doctors. Thank you Kaiser for always taking good care of me.
Excellent and compassionate patient care from every single staff whom I interacted with during my urgent care visit Every staff was caring and professional to include the person who checked me in
Keiser is great but sometimes you get a nurse like I did who took my e.k.g. in triage last night. Hopefully she can get trained better .
The staff here get five stars. They're top notch professionals focused on providing the best care in the most efficient and effective way possible. Unfortunately, paying their CEO, Gregory Adams, over $13 million /year… has caused staffing shortages that cause backups at certain, specific bottlenecks, like radiology. CEO pay is out of hand, and shouldn't lead to three hour plus wait times for x-rays because of staffing shortages.
Courteous, accommodating, efficient, friendly, great communication, and great bedside manner from receptionist, support nurses and doctor.
My visit today with Dr. V, dermatologist was fantastic. Highly recommend this doctor he is very personable and Devan the MA that took my BP was awesome as well. My whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic.… Hope it doesn’t change in the future. The parking is a little bit adventurous, Very narrow area to drive and park that aside from that a fantastic experience.
The staff was so kind and even though they were busy they made sure I was aware of what each step that was going to be happening to me. They cared about my anxiety and was so careful about the fact I had just had spinal… surgery and didn’t want to be there. Telling silly stories when I couldn’t calm down for an IV, having kind conversations when taking me to upstairs departments. I will always choose Tacoma urgent care. Those people are the best.
Easy check in, accommodating waiting area- MRI department doctors and technicians were attentive and kind.
Today I woke up to swollen face. Each person I encountered at Kaiser from check-in, to nurse to PA was genuinely concerned about my comfort and well being. Thank you Kaiser staff for your care!
Terrible urgent care intake experience. Very robotic questioning and interrupts you when you try to answer in detail. Only to circle back and ask what you were trying to tell them.
Spent time to resolve my problems. Was friendly and professional. I would definitely see him again.
Parking garage is small and tight fitting. Sometimes hard to maneuver through. Besides parking, good place to go for medical appointments, exams, and procedures. Nice and friendly staff and doctors.
My first experience with Keizer. My primary care physician Dr Christoper Peoples was informative, patient, kind and very knowledgeable.
I was recently diagnosed and treated for cancer and have had nothing but good experiences at all of my visits. Dr Phillip Young is awesome
Outstanding doctor with caring staff.
First impression was horrible. My first apppointment with this place and I didn’t even meet with my actual doctor. I set this up to address health concerns and asked for FMLA paperwork. The stand in provider told me to… take the paperwork down to the business center. I asked the guy sitting at the front how to fill this out so I can be covered for the future with appointments and scheduling with specialist to figure out what is going on. He told me the sheet I filled out will go back to the provider and they would handle the rest and this was discussed with the stand in provider as well with the paperwork reflecting out in the future until medical issues resolved. I recieved the paperwork back that covered me for 4 days in the past and the appointment I had was covered, no future dates and frequency. I reached back out to address this so it could be fixed and explained my confusion based on the help I got from the front desk guy at the business center. I sent a direct message to my provider and received a response back telling me I would have to fill the paperwork out all over again and schedule another appointment to address my needs. My whole point of having my first appointment was to cover me for future appointments and now I have no time or protection to schedule another appointment. I am not the expert with medical forms, this establishment is but seems as tho blame was shifted to the client and apparently they can’t do the job right the first time. Besides a money grab to make some come in again when this should have been taken care of and fixed, the provider notes reflected what I needed but the provider doesn’t help with filling out the FMLA the business center does. If your thinking about using this place as your medical provider, DONT!
So beyond done with this company. Not only do they think we can just drop everything for an appt. And if they cancel on you they don't give you a reason why but we have to if we cancel. The lack of care and… communication is astounding. I'd go somewhere else if I could
We are beyond grateful for having the best Urology Surgeon @ Tacoma Kaiser. Dr. Brian McCardle has cared for my husband these past 5 years & is not only professional, knowledgable & compassionate but extremely patient… always taking the time to address our concerns. He’s simply the best and his staff is amazing:) Shirley Hopkins
