Keystone Behavioral Health – Rock Hill Detox and Rehab Services

Care at Keystone Behavioral Health – Rock Hill spans detox, residential treatment and intensive outpatient. The withdrawal stage is clinically observed, which is what makes it safer than stopping alone. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening.

The focus here is on one side rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication-assisted treatment combines approved medication with counseling and clinical review. Waiting times vary, so it is worth asking at the first call.

Leaving this here untill my issues are cleared up!! Took ADSAP in 2013, couldn't pay all the class off before finishing, state taxes were taken to pay off class. Had a remaining balance of $301 and decided to pay the… IRS off to avoid garnished wages in 2024. Was told to give it 2 weeks to allow their "system" to notify the DMV of my completion. Life got in the way and I forgot about it and continued to make a living, barely, from a moped like I've had to do for the last decade. Now their "system" don't show I completed the class or show that I paid the IRS the $301 all ready. I'll be happy to change my rating if they can get their "system" to correct these issues so I can drive a car legally again. Highly recommend if you can take the course anywhere else to do so and avoid this place. Unfortunately in York county there is no other institution that this can possibly be done at. Please do better keystone.

I’d like to share my experience at Keystone. I know not everyone has had a positive experience there, but I certainly did. I was in the Compass group with Erin (PSS) and Madeline (counselor). For a long time, I had… people telling me I needed to get sober, or even that I had to get sober, but Erin and Madeline were the ones who actually believed that I could. I think that’s what made the difference, along with the fact that they are completely non-judgmental. If you are honest with them and they see you are trying, they will truly go to bat for you. My case manager, Kira, also helped me with so much more than just my case. Whether it was clothing, medical appointments, transportation, or housing referrals, they are there to help; you just have to let them know what you need. I originally went to Keystone for MAT. To be honest, at first I just wanted my Suboxone and thought I could cheat the system (you can’t!). But what I have now is gratitude, hope, and excitement for the future. That’s what they want for you, too

Do not, I repeat do not use this place for ADSAP, when required by DMV for license reinstatement! I tested negatively for all substances, but with just four classes left, the equivalent of two weeks, in a week’s span… in-between tests. I was tested positive for THC without using. If you can stay away from S.C in general for anything financially related, I suggest it. It is a poor state, that needs every cent it can squeeze.

This place is ridiculous. I completed classes for a DUI and on my last drug screen I somehow failed for codeine. If I did it I would’ve admitted it, but I didn’t. This was earlier last year. They told me I could come… back in 30 days. Fast forward I go to rehab because I spiraled when that happened because I was so defeated, did all that work for nothing. Rehab for alcohol not codeine. I went to a faith based rehab called Bethel Colony of Mercy, if anyone needs help GO HERE!!! It’s only $350 for up to six months or longer and if you don’t have it they don’t deny you entry. It’s TRUE healing, they’re not after your money or brainwashing you into secular ways. I called keystone to see if I could go back and redo the classes because what else am I going to do, right? Or if they would accept my time at Bethel. They told me to come do another assessment. I had already completed 10 weeks at keystone plus went to Bethel for 2 months so I did way more than what ADSAP even required. I completed my assessment yesterday with a male counselor which that in itself shouldn’t be allowed considering you have to talk about past things. He called this morning and said they decided I need to do IOP which is a higher level of care than the initial ADSAP class. I’m not looking for secular treatment nor do I believe in it. I am completely healed from my addictions and mental health. Don’t let this place tell you their way is the only way, JESUS IS. Plus, it’s thousands of dollars out of pocket just to get your license back which in other states you can do a dui class online and not even a “mental health” assessment, just pay the fee of under $1,000 and complete the course in as soon as a weekend. I can almost guarantee if I would’ve went to a secular rehab they would’ve accepted that. Addiction is NOT a disease. You don’t need AA/NA. Stop claiming addiction it over yourself. It’s not normal to have to go to those meetings for the rest of your life to keep your sobriety. Thanks for reading if you did. Also, let’s not fail to mention the VERY rude lady at the front desk who has no respect or compassion for others. Don’t let this place fool you, go get true healing. You can be fully healed.

2nd time my husband has tried to get services due to a very old DUI (17 years ago) the ladies are very rude. Ask political questions during an alcohol assessment! What does that have to do with a DUI/alcohol assessment.… They are money hungry thieves, “lost” his drug test…. Whatever! Then when he had time to call them back (we live normal busy lives) to go in and retake it they claimed to have discharged him! Again DUI happened 17 years ago he doesn’t even drink alcohol now! This county needs more options than Keystone! For all the services that they offer.

My daughter called for an . They stated she could come any time after 8am and when she arrived they refused to see her for an assessment and the front lady was extremely rude and refused to even reach out to a counselor… on her behalf.

Super rude to my husband who was simply asking about the cost with our insurance - which is a totally fair question considering they take our insurance. Wow. Do better.

Be careful while receiving services here. I attended my very last class for my DUI and they say I tested positive for codeine which is absolutely ridiculous and discharged me right when I was finished and said I could… come back in 30 days. All they care about is money. Not to mention it took A WEEK to get my results back so they couldn’t even retest me immediately because “of course I’m negative now because I had a whole week”

The worst customer service I've ever experienced. They treat you like your an idiot even when they say walk in services are available on Thursday 8am -3 pm. You walk in at 10 am and no one can help you out. Id rather… drive an Hour somewhere else then give any type of compensation to this horrendous company. Be aware, do not use this business. Absolutely terrible!!!

Went in, got asked to urinate in a cup for them, I did so and got told I didn't produce enough urine, I downed a water and a soda and after 10 minutes got told to come back in the morning but do not use the bathroom… first until I got here. The next morning arrived, it was 30 minutes before I was supposed to be there and got a phone call telling me that because of administrative issues they were not taking admissions now. That I had to wait and just call at 730 every morning again. Mind you all my clothes and everything is already there. I left everything there since I was coming back the next day. I told my family I was leaving, everyone was prepared including myself, just to be let down. I had put my trust in them that coming back in the morning was fine, just to be told that I couldn't. The disappointment is real.

This place saved my life , I was literally done fighting , I had tried 10+ other her detoxes programs and places , and none of them did what keystone will do for you. I’m 6 months clean and restoring some normal back in… my life. Thank you staff and thank you other addicts for being there for me in that time of my life !

I was a patient here 4/20/2016 and it saved my life. I now have over 8 years clean and am living my best life. If I didn’t come here and continue treatment when I left I wouldn’t be alive. Thanks to my mom, she found… this place, and a Higher Power who put me right where I needed to be. I liked it because there were medical professionals who treated me more than fair, even nice, and not overlooked or disrespected. They helped me come up with a plan that suited my needs. I was heard and felt I was safe. It was a secure place, not able to have my cell phone and had limited calling times and even harder abilities to get drugs, if I had more freedom I would have left and gotten high. Those detox days were hell, but the medicine they gave me to come off of substances helped. I opted out of MAT bc I used to abuse it. They had an enclosed smoking area too for us (which was considerate) and people from 12 step programs bringing hope. The facility played a video of a Celtics ball player who struggled with addiction and stayed clean. That video changed my life and gave me hope as I used to be an athlete. I had no insurance and they worked with my mom and I to sort out a payment plan. I payed them back once I got clean. 10/10 stars. ✨ Even more if I could. I didn’t attend outpatient treatment, although they offered a lot of services, because I went to a rehab across the state. I am so grateful I gave this place a chance to hold the fate of my life in it. I was in good hands. Thank you to the dedicated staff, your kindness, board members who help make this possible, and community volunteers. You rock Keystone! 🪨

There is no better place than keystone. If YOU want the help and YOU work for your recovery? They will work JUST as hard for you, if not harder. Kelly, Kyra, Sylvana, Jess, Kerry, Erin, Frank, Doug, David... They are… all pure souls. I have felt the love, support, and empathy on the level that I did/still do at keystone. They saved my life. They save a LOT of lives. This program will go hard af for you so long as you WANT it. I'm blessed beyond measure to be 115 days clean and sober thanks to keystone. Been going there for almost a decade and it's running better than it ever has now in 2022 with Kyra Rich the Case Manager. She is by far the most amazing person I have met at keystone. I never knew I could love a "normie" so much lol. My before and after pics are gonna be below.. let that speak for itself. I love keystone more than I can put into words. They are HOME to me. Keystone is home.. ❤️ **EDIT: I am now OVER 2 years 2 months and 12 days clean (as of 01/23/2024) and i still feel the very same (if not stronger) about keystone! I went all the way to Utah to Turning Point who is supposed to be "second in the nation" for substance abuse. And they treated me terrible.. i still to this day hold true to my opinion that keystone is THE BEST treatment facility there is out there! They are small but they are mighty. They have so much heart. I still to go to keystone for my groups and MAT to this day!! And i LOVE IT!! They have been such an essential part of my recovery and always will be! I cannot wait to start my training to become peer support and hopefully be able to give back to keystone for how much they have given me!! We do recover! 11/12/21 ❤️

The people were great, the food was amazing. My only problem was I was brought in on like a Thursday or Friday so most the counselors weren't there and I get sorta restless legs but all over my body when I go through… withdrawls and the nurse said she would get the dr to see me so she could give me something to help but while speaking to the dr, I thought she was just another intake nurse so I didn't bring it up. She was a little hard to understand and was very quick and short with me so I was already uncomfortable and sick. When the restlessness kicked into high gear over the weekend they had no staff that could help. I saw nobody over the weekend which was the worst part of it so I left against advice. They should have drs come in every day not just during the week. Other than that it really was a great place. My counselor was extremely nice and tried to help but that restlessness was too much without any medication to help.

Keystone changed my life in 2021. Stepping into the office this morning felt good. I was welcomed with friendly staff and hopeful messages on the walls. I took pictures but there isn't a place to attach them. I'm… grateful for a still moment to share my experience. In 2020 I was referred to keystone. I deemed Keystone a waste of time. I committed to and completed Keystone in 2021. It filled my with joy to be welcomed back this morning by caring & helpful people!

All the front guest employees are rude and disrespectful. No honor amongst rules they break rules like addicts relapse. The doctor her name is Dr,Burdett or something is a pathological liar and needs to lose her MD.… Vote to have this place destroyed, you guys at Keystone done care about anybody but yourselves Btw I was refused service here not too long ago, some people already lost their job bc of me and I’m not done yet. I suggest finding therapy with counsellors who don't self-contradict themselves and gaslight their patients just to make an extra buck. Research the psychoanalytic theory on intersubjectivity and find a counsellor who… actually cares about you.

Ive been to many detox facilities and i have to say this one is the best one I have ever been to. I drive 4 hrs to go there and im happy I did. They treated me like a person and went out their way to,order meds they… didnt have just to accommodate my withdrawal symptoms. Staff odds very respectful if you are of corse. Food not thst great but you are allowed to order food and able to keep your cigs. Your able to bring snacks and foods with you also. Detox is never fun but this place made it bearable. Is reccomend fully if your going for detox. Even if you dont have insurence which i don't, they work out a payment plan, with you at no upfront cost. They even paid a uber to get me home bc I had no ride.

My review is solely based on the counselor Doug. I was required to attend the adsap program and wasn’t thrilled about it as I’ve spent half of my life in the rooms as is(I genuinely believed nothing positive would come… from me attending other than me getting my license back). Doug changed my entire outlook in that regard. What was required became something I wanted to attend due to his demeanor and professionalism. His genuine care for clients is unreachable. I’ve had many curveballs thrown my way in regards to my health while in attendance and he’s been nothing but understanding while treating me with complete respect and empathy. It is very obvious why he’s been in this profession as long as he has. If you are honest and respect common decency he will support you through ANYTHING for better or worse. I wrote all of this by choice and I could write MUCH more but you would have to know him to understand. He gives Keystone a GREAT name and deserves all the respect he receives and THENSOME!
