Since the facility has been taken over by new owners I have seen a lot of improvements & expect they will continue to improve as time goes on. When my daughter first got there the place was, indeed horrible. Mice,… roaches, holes in the walls & I spent all my time trying to find something better & closer to where we live. At the time there were no beds available anywhere & this was the only place we could find. It literally caused me so much anxiety for my daughter’s safety & well being, but there was no choice. But NOW? The improvements in not just the physical appearance of the facility but in the staff they have hired moving forward are remarkable. Not perfect but a far cry from when she first arrived there. The new owners seem to actually care about their investment AND the people living there. The staff are really trying to improve the experience of entering a rehab/nursing home for the patients. It’s been a slow process to be sure, but they’re getting there. I have since found a place closer to our home but I honestly think that if they continue to improve & continue to learn more about ‘the business’ (because, let’s be honest, that is what this is) they will be a more than ok facility in the future. I hope I’m right for the sake of the patients there. There’s still a massive amount of work to be done there but I hope, for the sake of all the people living there that it will keep improving.

Went to call my mother and they had told me that they can’t put me through and try to call her cell phone. Once I told them her phone is not working they put me on hold then hung up on me. Called back again and started… talking to them and told them who I wanted to talk to and they hung up on me. Called back again and they sent me too a answer machine.

Let's be fair. There are wonderful and caring people that have taken care of my loved one. There are workers that don't care also. Sad but not the only medical facility I've seen this in. Fortunately we are able to bring… him home. I have read reviews and I do know that some are true. I do know that maintenance is always trying to fix problems in an old building. I do know that rehabilitation is not what this place should be putting on the Web. Rehabilitation is very limited due to not having enough staff to provide adequate therapy. Outsourced. Nurses station need to answer phones or have the phone lines checked. Some of these employees work their butts off. CNA'S mostly. Facility needs to order more liquids to distribute to floors for the weekends. We bought essentials to keep in his room due to this. Honestly I was there 7 days a week with our loved one. You need to advocate for your loved one. I see what some reviews are saying and yes they are correct but voice your concerns. It might not change but at least they know your advocating for your loved one. This atmosphere is very hard to work in and understanding is compassion. What our loved ones took from here was listening to the patients, fist bumps when they got excited, talking to them and most importantly some do not know why they are there due to brain injury, demtia or Alzheimer's etc. Compassion for patients . For profit facilities, unfortunately, will not change much.

The worst care home rat traps, mold, residents unsupervised, verbal abuse and physical abuse it smells like rotting flesh also 4 people have to share a bathroom and don't use the elevator its like from 1980 and its a… prison elevator it broke down on me and you get almost no food and it like a prison.

This place is a hoke will take your loved o es mony rate traps people not cleenig and is not a present place. We went to go see my step father after he went and place is as old as time itself and Grose. Random residents… were trying to walk in the room and were not wached. Didn't need to sign in. You could have had a murderer in there and you would not know it. It's was bad. That's wasn't the worst part before we left my step-dad was crying because it he was scaid and staff was abusive to others roommates and when we were living we got trapped in elevator and had to be rescued by fire department

This place is a dump- close family friend got transferred to this facility and I went to visit recently. Place is something you would see in a 3rd world country. Totally outdated, dirty, mice running across the floor,… heat is as hot as Haiti and overbearing. The quality of food delivered to the patients is worse than school lunch food. Looked absolutely disgusting. I think animal shelters are better than this place. This place should be shut down as it’s inhumane to have humans live like this.

Let me start out by saying there must be amazing staff but I have failed to find any. Staff was on the phone and residents were wandering freely. The Social Worker was rude and not very helpful. The place reeked of… urine and other scents I cannot name. The place has rat traps everywhere, so we know what that means. I am still baffled this place is open.

sent my son to ICU and never called family. Place is a dump, I want him transferred ASAP I think they try to keep Medicaid patients to keep $$$$ but are lousy at care

Urine smell always present. Clothing is sent to laundry and very little comes back. If you go here, have family do laundry. Staff pleasant, but facility woefully inadequate for long term care.

I was admitted to this facility and discharged myself within a week. Filthy place, sheets to my bed not changed in 3 days. Staff were very rude. It was HORRIBLE.

I believe there's an issue of physical abuse with a certain African American stocky male staff member. I don't believe in any case that any staff should scurry a client to a room slam the door , toss the client on the… bed bend a client's arm up as if he was going to be cuffed by a cop, a knee into the shoulder were the client had rotator cuff surgery then punch the client in the head. Visible marks left on client , pictures taken . Then they try to rectify by saying to client we removed this person to another floor, really for what so he can do this to others. His actions should of called for a immediately termination. Beware keep in touch with ur loved ones and question any unusual marks or bruises please.

Staff is pleasant and knowledgeable about my adult son's needs. He has been there for 1.5 years and is doing great. The staff really does care about him and manages his care in an excellent manner. They provide daily… activities and frequent outings for him. He is always clean and well taken care of. The staff are very knowledgeable about his condition. I highly recommend Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation to anyone!

Understaffed off hours, better during working hours. Staff seemed pleasant and got him moved in. My brother arrived after normal working hours. Sent here for 6 weeks of Antibiotics, PT, wound care, and pain management.… Expected antibiotics were absent on his first night. Pharmacy was blamed. He woke up sick and couldn't keep his pills down, missed another treatment. An antibiotic shot or drip as an alternative was not offered. Not a good first impression. Second impression during normal work hours was better. PT staff seems capable and up to date on my brothers history with a plan for his needs on short notice.
