Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

What is Modern Assistance Programs?

Modern Assistance Programs, Inc. is a Quincy, Massachusetts employee assistance program provider serving construction and service sector trade unions and private businesses across New England. It gives confidential assessments, short-term counseling, referrals and follow-up, and also runs its own outpatient clinic with a daily intensive outpatient program.

Staff are Certified Employee Assistance Professionals and licensed mental health and substance use counselors, and an on-call clinician is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Employee Assistance Programshttps://rehabseekers.com/payment/employee-assistance-programs/
Is Modern Assistance Programs health insurance?

No, it is an employee assistance program paid for by the employer or union fund, not a health plan. When someone needs more than the EAP provides, a counselor refers them to care covered by their own insurance, to free community resources, or to services priced by ability to pay.

That means detox, residential and inpatient treatment are billed to the member's health plan or fund rather than to Modern Assistance.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Does Modern Assistance Programs cover rehab?

Yes, but not by paying claims. Modern Assistance gives same-day assessment and referral for detox and mental health treatment, and delivers its own outpatient counseling, a daily Intensive Outpatient Program and Early Recovery Groups. Residential and inpatient costs fall to the member's health plan or union fund.

EAP services cost the employee nothing because the employer or union pays. Call 617-774-0331 or 1-800-878-2004 to begin an assessment.

Modern Assistance Programs, Inc. is not an insurance company. It is an employee assistance program provider based at 300 Congress Street in Quincy, Massachusetts, working for construction and service sector trade unions and private employers across New England, and it runs its own outpatient counseling clinic as well. A benefit sheet with its name on it opens a door to assessment and counseling, not to a plan that pays hospital bills.

That distinction decides who pays for what. MAP’s own counselors deliver the assessment, the short-term counseling and the daily intensive outpatient group at no charge to the employee, because the employer or union fund has already bought the service. When the need runs past what an employee assistance program can hold, the counselor refers out, and the detox bed or residential stay is billed to whatever health coverage the fund or employer provides.

MAP describes over 34 years of this work and keeps an on-call clinician available around the clock. The guide below covers which levels of care it delivers directly and which it refers out, how authorization works once a health plan takes over, what the EAP costs, where medication sits, and how to find a program once the assessment call is done.
