About Navy Medicine Readiness/Training Unit – Kittery

Navy Medicine Readiness/Training Unit operates from 402 Goodrich Avenue in Kittery. The site sits in York County, which shapes which public funding routes apply. The practical catchment runs wider than the city limits, taking in people who travel in rather than finding care on their doorstep.

Outpatient care is delivered here, alongside medication-assisted treatment, telehealth appointments and care for co-occurring mental health conditions. Which level fits depends on the assessment rather than on what is available, so the useful first question is what that assessment involves.

Treatment Services at Navy Medicine Readiness/Training Unit

Outpatient care runs to a set weekly schedule, with evenings and weekends spent at home. That suits people holding down work or caring responsibilities, though it asks more of someone managing early recovery alone. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Naltrexone is available and paired with counseling rather than prescribed alone. Trauma-specific services run alongside, which matters where the two are tangled together. Co-occurring mental health conditions are treated in the same building rather than split across providers. Ask what the assessment involves before you commit.

Navy Medicine Readiness/Training Unit Address, Location and Contact Information

The address is 402 Goodrich Avenue, Kittery, ME 03904, in York County. Confirm what a program covers before traveling in, since the level of care listed is not always the level with capacity. It is worth checking which entrance to use and where parking sits before a first appointment.

Telehealth appointments cover some contact where travel is difficult, which removes part of the journey for people further out. Ask what a first appointment involves and how long the current wait runs before making the trip. Waiting times vary with capacity, so call ahead rather than arriving unannounced.

Then staff is extremely helpful and nice, but the military staff are extremely rude, poor timing, and take forever to do stuff. It takes months to get an appointment in order. Be ready to sit around for 1-2 hrs+

I cannot say enough good things about the medical records department at this clinic. Dealing with healthcare paperwork, insurance requests, and transferring files is usually a stressful headache, but the staff here made… it completely seamless. They were incredibly professional, responded to my request much faster than expected, and ensured all my documents were securely sent over to my specialist without any issues. Thank you for your hard work behind the scenes—you are truly appreciated!

I've been using this on base pharmacy for over a year now. Always had excellant service and friendly staff. Never had a problem.

Poor experiences. Poor service. Lots of waiting around, impossible to get an appt for my toddler's primary care and when we do get in it's not the level of care I would expect for someone treating a child (struggling to… treat him because he was moving and making noise, as toddlers do..and saying she's never treated a kid before, yikes.) We had to demand a care plan and state we would not leave unless satisfied with his treatment because of how unsatisfactory this place has been. If possible, go to another primary care not affiliated with the military. (also been waiting months for a kid's flu shot when daycare requires one. Why does it take so long for everything?)

Good place, but service is terrible, weird rules for picking up spouses medication, refuses to talk about your child's health without them present, X-ray takes hours to complete (due to waiting). If you need medical… attention and have only 3 hours, try anywhere else unless you have an entire day free. They do not work with the patients.

I am pleased to offer my professional opinion of the Naval clinic in question. It is with great confidence that I state that this particular clinic is amongst the finest that I have had the pleasure of visiting. I would… like to particularly commend the lab facility for their exemplary services. The HM1 in charge of the laboratory demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and proficiency in carrying out their duties. Additionally, the staff members were friendly, professional, and efficient in the discharge of their responsibilities. In light of my experiences, I would unreservedly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking quality healthcare services.

Dr McFaddin is wonderful and so is Dr Deb. Very caring and could not get better care!
