This place makes me feel worse and threatens me avoid at all cost

Originally posted a negative review. However, one of the owners actually contacted me, and they are working with me to resume treatment quickly and with consideration of my financial status.

Was discharged without any explanation or any prior warning. Unreliable.

So id normally never leave a review for something as personal as this service.. I feel compelled to do so... I have only been a client here for 2 weeks seen my guy nick twice from the moment I met him I was comfortable… and felt welcome it took me a while to get into therapy and I think it was one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. I intend on going back as long as I can. I want to be a better me and this place I feel will help. Thank you guys so much for what you do.. Id like to update this on my new counselor Ivana. She's one of the best people I could have met with and I intend on getting better with her helping hand THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙏🙏

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Michael, and I’m truly grateful for the exceptional care he provides. He is compassionate, professional, and always takes the time to listen and understand my needs. Unlike other… providers who may rush through appointments, Michael genuinely cares and creates a safe space to discuss any issues. I highly recommend him!

HONESTLY I'm not sure why this office has so many 5 stars. Sure sometimes when you go in the reception staff is polite but usually it's younger staff who visibly sit on their phones looking dead and completely bored.… Just the vibe I got on a few occasions. When first joining here I was coming from another high risk facility and was completely spiraling dealing with extreme episodes as I have borderline personality disorder. Therapy has always been a struggle for me, getting and receiving help in general has always been a struggle of mine. Going through these episodes of extreme high and lows I tend to miss therapy appointments because I'm either extremely depressed and suicidal and "what's the point of therapy anyways" or I'm extremely manic and think "I don't need therapy im so happy". At this clinic they have a 3 missed appointment rule. I understand that missed appointments for a clinic of course isn't good for the company and insurance or what not but when dealing with patients with mental health issues you need to keep in mind that appointments WILL be missed!! Before I even got the opportunity to call the office after my 3rd ( NOT in a row) missed appointment they sent me discharge paperwork that afternoon! I thought that was extremely unprofessional and honestly rude? Mental health is NOT easy and dealing with such an uptight clinic like this one is NOT helpful. For some people coming to you at their lowest, appointments can become overwhelming and stressful when you start to mentally tally mark your possible past missed appointments. Yes calling before an appointment to cancel would be the right thing but this is a mental health facility remember that, a good majority of us are already struggling with everyday issues and simply everyday tasks. Also my intake paperwork had to be done online before my first appointment in person with a therapist ....there's a LOT of open ended questions not the best for someone who is easily triggered and overwhelmed!

The only thing you will get from this office is amazing service and exceptional care. Mike is so easy to talk to and the best addition to this team. Highly recommend this place!

This place is filled with people who truly want to help you find your way and work though your struggles. They truly are amazing!!

This review is for Ivana I’ve had a few different therapist from other facilities, no one was as kind and caring as her!! She listens to you and she cares about your well being. If I message her after hours she will… respond back , even if it’s a quick “hey are you OK “ is it important / can I call You back in a few mins to talk, or do you need to speak with me now ? She does care and she wants to help you become a better person and get you threw what your going threw.

As a mental health professional, it is refreshing to have safe space to express my vulnerability without feeling shame or guilt. Self-care for the caregivers! Thank you New Start!

The staff guided me through the intake process and were very patient in helping me. The facility looks new and inviting, and everyone has been super friendly. I enjoyed my session and am excited to continue!

A very friendly clinic with excellent therapists and prescribers!

I recently had the pleasure of attending this clinic after a friend referred me. As a counselor myself, I was picky in the type of environment, space, and counselor I was looking for. I must say, although it is early… days I immediately felt welcomed and heard here. The energy just felt right. The staff is super personable and took the time to answer all my questions. The counselor I was assigned to was really accommodating and worked around my own busy schedule. Additionally, she’s really kind and gave me the type of therapeutic space I was personally looking for. I am really happy with where I landed and looking forward to this new experience.

I called this place and have had other medical issues so I've had to postpone my appointment. The representative Mike is very rude and comes across as a very punitive person for a new client who hasn't even been to… their facility. I am glad to know and would not ever consider a place like this where if your paperwork is not done online, they punish you. Everybody doesn't have access to online. What a nasty funky attitude for someone that's working in psychology. Thank you for the red flag.

Been with new start for close to a year now, great office and staff. Joy and Mike are always helpful and I really see improvement with my counseling sessions.

The way they answered the phone I hung up. Went somewhere else update absolutely not the way you answer your phone someone else was happy to take my case
