North Country Community MH – Petoskey Detox and Rehab Services

The register shows North Country Community MH – Petoskey providing intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.

The record does not show integrated provision, so confirm this if it matters. The weekly time commitment varies considerably between providers, so establish it early rather than after admission.

The absolute worst practice. No matter how many times you deny having issues, they do not listen to their patience. They over medicate you and refuse to listen to other doctors diagnosis to the point of hospitalization.… Do NOT go here.

I have a client leaving a rehabilitation clinic and going to a transitional housing in the area, the woman on the phone was rude and would not work with my client because she was leaving a rehab facility and was… requesting services for counseling. This is why people with substance use disorders cannot thrive in the community because of people like that woman who have no compassion and understanding for people struggling with there trauma. Why do you think people use drugs in the first place? Its because they are not given the support and resources they need. Then people like the receptionist that answered the phone treat them like they are monsters when they reach out for help. I am absolutely appalled at the unprofessional attitude my client received from one of the staff members at North Country Community Mental Health.

I have nothing but great things to say! The staff is friendly, patient and kind. My therapist has been helping me in ways I never thought possible after many years of struggling with my mental health. I feel completely… safe, open, and honest every time I visit. It’s a judgement free place filled with supportive counselors who want to make a difference and are passionate about doing so. I am so thankful for the services I receive and having someone to talk to and listen to me.

This is a useless organization who will do anything in their power to obstruct access to services and harm both children and adults. They will refuse to perform their duties and then will lie to their supervising… agencies to prevent criminal investigation. Go elsewhere, you will not get the help you need here.

I needed trauma therapy, anxiety therapy and so on. I've not had issues with them, they don't do not reminder calls. When dealing with GAD (generalized anxiety disorder) I do feel like my therapist is running out of… helpful things to add however. Receptionists are always sooo nice.

I don’t recommend the Petoskey CMH. When you’re urgently seeking help they take 3 days to get back to you with an appointment, takes a month maybe more just to see a psychiatrist. If you’re not doing ok mentally, I… seriously recommend going somewhere else.

My experience here was nothing less than extraordinary. My being was undone before my visit here and they managed to use it while working around my nothing in place. There's a role we all play and they treated mine as… unending and well. I have the confidence to now endure being consciously dispersed and less than entire.
