My counselor and peer were great but I don't recommend getting meds there. They wouldn't give me the only sleep med that helped (seroquil, which isn't even controlled!!)
I'm usually not one to leave reviews, but my experience was so good. I was super nervous leading up to my appointment. The staff were nothing but kind, and Ali was so easy to talk and open up to. I highly recommend… Guidestone New Phila office.
There a joke 😂 don’t recommend at all
This place has been a safe space and staple in my life since around 13 years of age. In my honest opinon they focus more on Family unity and comunication, but I have had a lot of help with PTSD and self-esteem as well… as assertivness and anger issues. Things seemed to run more smoothly when I was a child perhaps that is perception or changing of the times? Either way, that is something I would like to return and will myself work on. The atmosphere is very zen compared to before their remodel, the staff is still very friendly to me and/or professional, when problems have accured I have to be the ONE that is reminding them there is a problem, which is fair. I have went a few years inbetween treatments and always been honest with them and they have never done me dirty.
the woman i got paired up with is so kind and absolutely amazing. i’ve only had one appointment so far but she has helped me tremendously. i’m so glad i decided to go through ohio guidestone, they are genuinely… wonderful people. i know a lot of people tend to leave bad reviews and don’t receive the help they need, but in all reality it’s about being paired up with the right fit. counselors, therapists, and even psychologists, don’t always fit best. sometimes you have to keep searching for the help you need. not everyone can help in certain ways, not even if they have a degree in the subject. don’t stop looking for help if you need it, it’s out there, you just have to be willing to find it; it took me 5 years to find the right fit.
Horrible place. Don’t care about you. Just want all the money they can get from the government.
It took me 3 yrs to admit I needed help w grief I have the best support from here than any other counseling
this place is a joke. i would give zero stars if i could. refused to transfer my medical records on time when they were needed for medication. requested them at least five times and never received them. this was in… JULY. was told to keep a log of my calories to help with a potential eating disorder. counselor constantly talked about herself. could tell you basically any personal info about her. cannot say she could do the same for me. all of my problems were pushed off. counselor refused to ask probing questions and instead asked “how is school going” when i was clearly having an extreme depressive episode and expressed concerning feelings. made out to seem crazy at every appointment. finally decided to see a new counselor only to find out i needed a referral from her supervisor. never received a call from said supervisor. have gone about three months without any counseling services now. also might i just say this is my SECOND experience with this office. my first visit when i was around 17-18 was just as horrible. finally recovered from how awful that was and decided to seek out help again. was more than disappointed this time. can truly say i am worse off now than when i started. Do not come here.
I love my therapist and I love the nurse practitioner. Leah and Ali are amazing. I've been with them over a year now. The only counselor my partner ever actually liked used to work here before he was taken from us by… Covid. The reason I didn't give five stars, though. My son was with Mr. White, who didn't connect with my kid for anything. We asked to be switched and got Tiffanie. She seemed ok at first but became too overwhelmed or something because we couldn't get in to see her, she never scheduled more than a week out even if we could. I wound up getting my child into CMH through the school, though I hate going through multiple services.
We love our counselors!!! She is and always been there for my boy, and the staff is great too, I’ve never had a hard time getting a appointment, always friendly to us thank you for always caring for our family, we… always look forward to seeing Shawna or Lea you have helped him and us greatly.
Never confirm visits. They just assume you know when and where. We were told only 2 visits at the center since we were housing the kids and have to take 2 cars everywhere and drove 45 mins each way. They did not send in… reports regularly and the judge had no idea that we were even having visits with the center since they reported none of it. Poor management and staff very disrespectful when speaking with anyone
This place is the worst place to take your kids to! They do not help in anyway they discriminate against dads. My kids mom got calls and text about kids and upcoming appointments but as the dad I didn't i would message… and ask questions or ask for appointments they ignored me. They would not answer my calls or call me back. I asked for transcripts of my kids and they said they would send it out. My one child's records were held for 3 weeks befour getting sent out and my other child's records were never sent out.
I called this place twice trying to schedule appointments waiting over a week still haven't received a phone call back. appears to be a serious lack and professionalism.
Very friendly
Not very dependable , with poor scheduling . Have shown up to several appointments made where they were unable to find on schedule so they therefore lack organization as well. Had problems getting documentation from… them on a timely manner for court.
