They only get one star because I have to give it one to review. They sent my son home still suicidal and just blamed me for not trying. Courtney is completely unqualified to be doing what she is doing. They schedule… discharge before they ever even had a conversation with me as the parent. Never spoke to the doctor! They accepted him for the 7-10 days to get insurance money and then sent him home. They didn't even accurately keep track of the medications they gave him. Mental health deserves better than this trash.
would do 0 stars if possible. don’t send your loved ones here. they don’t help, they are extremely unprofessional, and rude. my loved one in there is being denied a 72 hour release as an adult who went there… voluntarily. they took his papers with his phone numbers on it. they threatened to keep him longer and booty juice him for crying and saying he felt trapped. they aren’t giving him his prescribed medication at all. he hasn’t spoken to a therapist nor any kind of help in the past almost 3 days. the only form of “help” they really do is group, which is just watching videos and talking. they aren’t allowed in their room all day, it’s locked with whatever belongings they want or need and aren’t allowed to grab them. he is a male, and is in the girls side because “they had no room in the men ward” which is disgusting especially knowing that they had a lawsuit for a girl being raped there by a male patient. I had another loved one in there who was going through a schizophrenic episode and was able to run out the building, and cops were not called until his mother called them. I’ve been told that staff make rude comments, talk poorly about patients to eachother and other patients. so DONT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE, THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEM!!
Some of the staff are so careless and rude if it wasn’t for the nurses and doctors that actually care I would have went insane in this facility. My family members were hung up on multiple times by a lead named Ana I… believe. A lot of the techs treat some of the patients as if they’re less than anything but a mentally ill HUMAN BEING. I saw patients being left in their soiled underwear and other patients being yelled at while in a psychotic episode. There were a few there that make it easier to be in there, but it’s unrealistic to only have those few working all the time. The Pavilion needs to ask every staff member why the hell they’re there…if the answer is just to get paid then LEAVE. These people are playing with people’s lives and mental wellbeing and they definitely would not like for one of their loved ones to be treated the way they treat people.
please dont come here and dont send your child or teen here. I came here at 15 or 16, I am now 18. I was struggling mentally and was looking for any type of help I could get. This place does the complete opposite, your… children will be kept in a room from 8 am to 7 pm. It is a dirty enviorment, ants and stains all over the floor. Majority of staff is just lazy and on their phones, very few want to actually help you. They go through all your stuff while you sleep, I know there cant be total privacy but going through my clothes and underwear?? I was almost given someone elses meds, who knows how that couldve went for me. The staff couldnt keep a young 10 year old child under control, he could easily burst through the locked doors from the boys side and get into the girls side, tried to come in while I was showering and he wasnt stopped, a patient had to intervene and hold the door closed. A child there had a black eye from one of the residential staff punching her in the face. They tried to keep her quiet about it and no legal action was taken !!PARENTS!! BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR CHILD HERE, think if you genuinely care about their wellbeing, their safety, them getting better, consider any other place than here. Its COMPLETELY unproffesional, read the reviews and please understand I wish this was a lie, im aware it sounds exaggerated, but I can promise this is all true and this was me and the other residents expieriences. Look into one of the lawsuits against this place, A girl was sexually assaulted because there was no care into seperating the boys and girls and still even currently there is no care. PROTECT YOUR CHILDREN.
AWFUL. TERRIBLE. HORRIBLE STAFF. 0/10.
The staff were compassionate and caring. The doctor was kind and listened to my concerns. The nurses, Jennifer and Esther are constantly on the run to ensure patients needs are met. These ladies made me feel safe and… would always listen to my concerns when they got a moment. Amy, the charge leader went above and beyond to ensure my discharge went smoothly. The downside was some of the patients were frightening to be around.
I was really impressed at how well the staff listened and accommodated my stay. It sucks to be in a place like that, but overall I’m grateful. 5 stars is a bit of a reach. But we could all use a little encouragement, I… suppose. The food was really good. Thanks for everything.
Never have I ever received such quality care and compassion as the nurses provided me with at a foundational point in my life-long journey. I give all my blessings towards a better future and fortune will be bestowed… upon those doing God's work.
Absolutely amazing staff! Food was GREAT, the group programs were insightful. Just wish they had a gym.
An absolute NIGHTMARE! The male staff currently on the level 300 rooms was violent over the phone toward me, gave zero information, and lacked the knowledge and English-speaking language to speak over the phone. This… individual was abusive to me as a family member over the phone, so I cannot even imagine the abuse happening in person. Legal action will be necessary if you choose to place anyone here, and the facilitie’s incompetent staff will break your heart and your loved-one’s limbs if you do. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! They are prepared to kill my father and they prefer to laugh about it, rather than give solid communication. It is also extremely relevant that the nurse who spoke to me has only received a 2-year LPN (and was prepared to lie and not give any educational background) and is not a fully licensed nurse. This facility is acting unlawfully in the state of Illinois. I also work in healthcare, but in a much higher educational status and his eldest daughter is a nurse practitioner. His brother and sister are both bureau of prison retirees. This place wants money and they don’t care!!! This disgusting place is treating us all like bad people. SHAME ON THIS PLACE!!! This facility needs CLOSED!! Whatever department has approved of their inhumane practices, is clearly not do their job. Samantha J. Bubeck, BS, MS
I stayed there for a week and when I got discharged I was under the impression that the case worker or discharge planner had set up everything for me. After a 3 hour drive with a staff member (a wonderful woman named… Texas) I got to a homeless shelter in Marion, IL and I found out the shelter refused me because I didn't have my mental health medicine. Luckily the driver was still there and she was able to get one of my meds from the Walmart in Marion but it was my diabetic medicine and not my mental health medicine. So once again the homeless shelter denied me and I had no where else to go. I've never been in Marion before, I have no family, no friends, nothing but the paper bag I left The Pavilion with. I spent 5 hours on the phone trying to call anyone at The Pavilion and I left voicemail after voicemail and got sent to non stop ringing phones and it wasn't until 4:30pm or so until someone finally found me someone to talk to. It was a nurse named Esther from the second floor where I was at before I got discharged. She told me to get a hotel and when I told her I didn't have any money she said she didn't know how to help me. She said she would ask around the unit and call me back but I never heard anything back. I'm literally abandoned and stranded in Marion IL due to The Pavilion and no one cares. I'm worse off now than I was before I got back on my meds.
I appreciate all of the staff members during my stay. Never in a million years would I expect to be sent to a psychiatric facility and honestly it wasn’t so bad. Didn’t mind that it wasn’t perfect. I wasn’t in danger… there and you guys kept me safe, I got my 3 meals per day, was able to rest and stay hydrated and was able to shower and have clean skin and clothes. That’s all that I needed. I was respected and treated better there than I have been by my whole family at home. Thank you and god bless you all.
The Pavilion is a nightmare staffed with people that couldn't care less about the damaged people in their "care". From what I experienced over my 6 day stay, it's strictly a "feed & water" operation. The individuals… that need the most care and guidance are being ignored, opioids are being trafficked by patient's and the staff are well aware of this. However, the people involved are not held to account. I have so much more to share but in the end I believe the individuals responsible for this travesty wouldn't lift a finger to do the right thing I will never shake the memory of this horrific place.
Great staff great program
It was definitely scary for me but I needed to get through my fears.
Absolutely horrible experience.
Larisse the tech was very unprofessional during my stay. Everyone else was fabulous 🤩
This place makes your mental health worse and you realize there really is no help. The “resources” people give you just consist of people looking down on you not caring if you eat or if you’re crying. It makes… everything feel even more hopeless.
This place is horrible when I went there the staff were VERY neglectiv and didn't not care about the wellbeing of the kids. Please do not send your kids there for your kids own safety.
I am impressed by this facility to help families with individuals who need assistance in recovering their lives. This is my first experience with a family member and the care that my family member is receiving is beyond… my imagination. To see my family member’s improvement in such a short time is tearfully joyful!!!To hear my family member no longer say, you can take a horse to the water but you can’t make him drink, to positive sayings how this facility is helping to make the changes and the love for here and the staff, especially the Counselor, Delores, whom I have met and agree is totally awesome! Delores cares for these people and their families. She is patient, kind and considerate. She talks to you and let you know your family member is in good hands. My family member agrees with that. I, also have to mention the front desk Switchboard employees, Marquita and Martinez. They are beautiful women inside and out. They were so kind to me and helpful! They assured me that anything I brought to my family member, would receive it. I don’t have the names of the other two employees but my hat is off to them too as well as the other employees who I had encounters with. I look forward to the full recovery of my family member and I have high hopes because of my experience with this facility and it’s loving employees. Thank you All so much from the bottom of my heart! I wish you all many blessings in all your endeavors as you continue to display genuine warmth and love to people you really have not known.
I believe the Pavillion is a great institution to have gone through meaning, they are extremely professional and know a lot about helping people with mental illnesses and or disabilities. Pavillion makes it very… apparent that they understand how serious mental health is and I believe Pavillion needs more funding. Thank you 🙏 the people of Pavillion deserve more recognition from the department of human services and the government. Beyond grateful to have been helped by Pavillion and their amazing staff ❤️💙🙏
If this is the kind of help people get when they already are ready to leave this world I understand why they do it. This place makes your mental health worse and you realize there really is no help. The “resources”… people give you just consist of people looking down on you not caring if you eat or if you’re crying. It makes everything feel even more hopeless.
They helped my brother get mentally stabledlized. I appreciate it
A terrific mental health facility experience. The staff is tremendous, unrelenting, and absolutely vital. Back to basics intents towards recovery. Ky Dotson, Mo, Calvin, JH, cleaning staff, food staff, Ill be working my… materials. Thank you
They’re were two caring techs out of like the 15 I’ve met and they were Nakara and Roberto I stayed on the 3rd floor and they helped me so much and I will say the groups do help
