Well my experience there as a kid it really helped me get through my problems and stuff I was dealing with all the staff that was in apache 2 to 3 years ago when I was there where amazing they taught me a bunch of… things and in my opinion I was a great dorm leader but I loved the fact that they showed up everyday and they taught me to always show up on time even if you don't want too.

My son is currently in this facility and I love it. It seems to be an amazing program that i think will really help my son. However with that being said, the therapist Tammy is very rude and unprofessional. We had a… family therapy session set up and my son has been trying to tell me something very crucial to help know why he does the things he does and she last second rescheduled and said we could just meet on family day. When we got there she came up to us said hi and said she would come get us in about 45 minutes for our session. We waited all day as we sat there and watched her visit all the other families sometimes twice and eventually time came that family day was over so we were supposed to leave. We brought up concerns to staff stating we still did not get our session that was actually scheduled so of course my husband advocating for our son spoke up about her unprofessionalism, she then proceeded to come over to us and tell us if we waited in our car for 15 minutes she would come get us. 30 minutes later she never showed and out walks my son getting ready for his regular routine. I spoke with staff asking what was going on staff tried reaching her so we could just go ahead and do our session but she would not answer so we had no choice but to leave. She then called us an hour later and said she went outside to get us but we were gone. My husband rightfully so reprimanded her for how our son was neglected and she proceeded to start screaming at us and insulting us. My husband informed her we would be speaking to a supervisor about her behavior and then we hung up and left at that. She then proceeded to send me threating text message all the way until close to 9pm stating that because of our behavior she doesn't feel like we are people kevvyn should go home to and tried saying all kinds of outlandish things about my husband like hes got drug charges and shouldnt be around my son and that we aren't actually married among other things that are not true in the slightest. We are a good hard working family and my husband has been an amazing step dad. We don't do drugs or anything else and we are just trying to get the help my baby needs and i thought pegasus was an answered prayer but if my sons therapist acts like a child when she is called out then how is she anywhere qualified to help children with behavioral issues.

I was there back in the early 2000s and it was super rough. Kids were getting mistreated and roughed up and there was some great moments I had there but I tell you what the negative stuff like staff slamming kids or… when kids sitting indian position staff would put there knee into the back and put all there weight on them it was bad but their were super really caring and good staff there but there was alot more bad staff at the time. I got into trouble a couple of times so i seen it first hand but 90 percent I did good and graduated out the program. I just hope its better managed now.

They work with kids that were forgotten, people don’t care about, or need a second chance. Staff goes through a lot. I’m thankful for them

RETRACTION OF PRIOR REVIEW. After numerous efforts to delete the negative review posted earlier, I want to state unequivocally, that my comments were based on misinterpretation and unverified I information. I now know… that this school provides effective treatment in a strong community environment that is healthy and well managed.

I would like to Thank the staff for doing such an amazing job. I can see the tremendous amount of change in my son, he is extremely helpful around the house and spends most of his time playing basketball at the YMCA and… loves spending time with his family. This program actually worked out for the best, and I’m so grateful for every staff that works hard with these kids. Especially Mr. Allen lol he’s a tough cookie but he’s an overall outstanding person. I would also like to Thank Mr Derrick, my son is always talking about how wonderful you are to him and the other kids,Thank you for the positive talks and motivation you’ve shown him over his stay. Thank you for believing in him and reminding him what was important. Thank You all so very much,Tamika.
