Professional Counseling Center PC – Port Huron

Professional Counseling? My mother died recently, not much from my therapist. My ESA animal died months ago, absolutely nothing from my therapist. Then I'm going through crisis and they tell me they are cancelling… appointments and not returning calls because they are in crisis because someone died. Pretty sure I heard the same thing about 3 years ago when I needed a call back Professional Counseling?

This place has helped me so much on my journey. Love the front desk staff, Tracy and Tina are the best. Jessica is amazing and has helped me through some tough times . Nothing but good things from this place

This is one of the best offices I have been to for therapy. They are always professional. It's clean the waiting area is great.

I could never say enough about Sarah Lebeau. I hope my spelling isn't to off!!! She came into our home and when I say she went above and beyond that doesn't quite cover it. She is a phenomenal woman. She gave my… granddaughter hope and she believed in her. She never looked down... Only built up! I thank you for being you and seeing something in my granddaughter and helping her to find her worth again!!!!!

While the staff is nice it sucks being kicked out because I couldn't make some appointments due to weather conditions. I take back what I said this place is absolutely No Better then CMH. What a big disappointment this… whole process was. I've completely lost all hope in counseling because of this place. I don't recommend this place either.

I been here for a couple years now. My therapist is Amanda Stephenson and I absolutely recommend her. She has lifted so much weight off me mentally and physically... I DO NOT recommend the psychiatrists unfortunately if… you miss an appt for a family death they will not let you see them for 6 months! Amanda is my safe place and I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for her!!

Rena is fabulous to work with. Super friendly? Helpful and resourceful. When we finished i felt secure and overcame my issues and also like I had one more supportive person added to my life. So grateful fornher

I've been going Professional Counseling Center for almost two years now . I've never believed in things like therapy , talking to people about my problems etc. However in 2020 of September I was a victim of medical… malpractice and suffered trauma since . When I met with my therapist Kelly Ann I'll be honest , I had no hopes that therapy would do anything for me but I gave her a chance . She told me give me a chance and I did . Here I am now almost two years later and I couldn't imagine my life without Kelly Ann . She's gotten me to get back to points in life I never thought I'd be able to ever again. I'm still a work in progress , not from any lack of Kelly but because I'm still working on myself . But I would not be back to where I am now if not for Kelly . The trauma I suffered was my everyday / every hour life and Kelly got me back to living a normal life . There's times I fall off but Kelly always gets me back on my toes . I can't say thank you enough . In addition the staff here is awesome. Friendly, welcoming , the facility is clean . I would recommend this place to anyone and I'm sure everyone here is awesome but I would HIGHLY recommend Kelly Ann due to my experience with her !

I would give more stars if I could! I was able to work with Rena for 6 months, and I was deeply sad when our services ended. I have a one year-old little girl, and my schedule is always changing, and Rena was always… flexible to meet my needs. She was professional, kind, understanding, and gave great feedback at appropriate times. She helped challenge the way I would think while helping build up my self esteem. She was with my little family for a short time, but will forever be one of the building blocks that helped better my little families future.

The people who work here are so friendly and truly care about the patients. They always go above and beyond. Honestly a blessing for my family!

Have been seeing a therapist through professional counseling center for 15+ years. Have always felt comfortable with everyone person I have came into contact with over the years . I truly appreciate my counselor, always… answers my calls or texts, if I should need her when I don't have an appointment. Mrs. Kelly Ann my family appreciates your many years of service and dedication

I have been a client of Professional Counseling center for several years, myself and my spouse see Thomas Pope who is a fantastic therapist. However, over time my experience with the office and their ability to assist… with tough mental health situations was met with poor results. I decided to leave them this past month due to constant strife with staff and how they have treated my spouse. To be exact Gerome Hess prescribing her medication she was allergic to and when telling him so he stated “The medication is on the lowest does you should be fine” She had this medication in the past and had anaphylactic shock, however they make you sign an agreement to take all medication as prescribed with the threat of dropping you if you don’t. My spouse missed one (only one) appointment with Gerome Hess and he dropped her for six months of service. I would recommend Thomas Pope as a counselor but not the facility as whole for service. When attempting to contact the owner he has been too unprofessional to reach out to us in order for us to raise these concerns with him. Stay clear and go to a more reputable facility such as CMH direct.

The reception girls are just wonderful. Always cheerful and helpful. My counselor Sandy is the best. She really listen to me. We work together to help me with my issues. I would highly recommend.

Do not go to this business for any reason! I had a screening and assessment done here and the lady that did it got my information all wrong and was very inaccurate! All she could tell me is how she felt this and how she… felt that about me and tried to tell me what my feelings were! She heavily pushed on me to get pills prescribed because SHE FELT I was heavily depressed and that I had major anxiety in which I would be a "GOOD CANDIDATE" for taking pills in which she is totally wrong about! Also she stated that I have no loved ones supporting me in my life which is completely far fetched, false and wrong! She also got my court date wrong and wouldn't change it because "THATS WHAT HER NOTES SAY"!?!? I can't pick my court dates obviously! When we talked on the phone she had trouble referencing what part of the paragraph I was referring about and the assessment was only 2 pages! I highly recommend that NO ONE I REPEAT NOT A SINGLE PERSON USE THIS BUSINESS FOR ANY MEANS PERIOD! They lie and just want to take your money!!!! Everyone can see they don't have good google reviews as it is!

I’ve tried two counselors through this office and it was terrible. The last one was a nice person, but literally broached every issue by just Googling. It was zoom appointments. No help whatsoever and, in fact, offering… scary Google results muddied already vulnerable waters. Just so unprofessional and time wasted.

Heather Scholfield is an amazing human and therapist. She is genuine, caring, and helpful. The world needs more people like her. I haven't had any issues with the office or scheduling, either.

I have been attending PCC for 4 years my life my quality of life in the things that I do have improved greatly from the staff from the services and the way that the building runs itself in a friendly caring… compassionate manner , staff is absolutely amazing 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Not supportive in coparenting situations. Excluded primary parent from getting updates on child, therapist was told by other parent there was no contact allowed between parent an child. Therapist upheld this without any… proof or any court order!

About 15 minutes into my first appointment with their psychiatrist, she had gathered enough information about me to tell me that I was "exaggerating."Oh and she showed up twenty minutes late to the appointment. 0/10

This is the worse place I have ever been too. My son was going here. He has seen 3 different counselors in the last 4 months of going here. Last night he was suppose to be his 4th new counselor over zoom. Well the guy… never showed up for the zoom meeting. And last time he went to this place he was only seen for 10 mins. But yet they charged me for a full hr and my insurance too. This place is a big joke.

This place needs to take accountability for the residual effects that their unprofessional and uneducated staff have on people. I left there having more issues than I did to begin with because of my psycho “counselor”.… The only thing that I learned from them is to ALWAYS CHECK CREDENTIALS before agreeing to services.
