Not bad not grate but not bad
🃏♦️♥️♣️Chloe Cramer is the best there she is like a big sister to me she made me feel calm In her arms when she gave me a hug can you please tell her I said hi and to come visit me because I can't come back my mom won't… let me I tried to 👁️🧡💙♠️please tell me what she said?
My daughter went here was so thankful for everything the staff and drs did for my kid so thankful for them came home to a different kid she realized and actually got some help to be able to talk about what she was… thinking if your kid is struggling I completely recommend sending them here
i was there for 8 days and it was the best mental hospital i’ve been to. felt cared about, my eating disorder was addressed, and the staff handled MOST things really well. a staff named jeremy told us his political… views and made fun of a patient in front of other patients
Do not send your children here. My nephew was transferred to this hospital at 5am and traveled 4 hours to make sure he was going to receive the care he desperately needed. They accepted his transfer based off his… medical records. He was in an active behavioral health crisis that not only put himself in danger, but his family. After traveling 4 hours to arrive at this facility, with strangers (because his parents were not allowed to follow the transport vehicle , which I do understand) My sister receives a call to make sure they have all of his demographics and insurance correctly. They asked to verify that he has healthy blue, which is Missouri Medicaid. To which my sister replied, no, he has never had Medicaid. He has Cigna - private commercial insurance through her employer. They did not verify insurance before they made my 10 year old nephew who was in the middle of a mental health crisis travel 4 hours to their facility. After realizing they had the incorrect insurance, they simply stated they do not accept Cigna and refused to try to bill out of network. My sister was then transferred to their financial advisor to which she was told, if my nephew was to receive care there, they would have to pay cash pay which would be over 2k per day. Obviously nobody can afford that in this economy but they were willing to do what needed to be done to get my nephew help. My sister and brother in law spent all day between the original hospital he was transferred from and Royal Oaks to see what went wrong and why and how to move forward to get my nephew the care he needs. The communication between Royal Oaks internally was awful. They were told multiple different stories by different people. The original hospitals legal team got involved to try to make sure my nephew received the care he needed. My sister and brother in law decided to make the 4 hour drive to the facility to get everything straightened out in person from an insurance and financial standpoint and willing to pay cash pay if that’s what needed to be done to get him help. When they got there, they were told that my nephew “did not meet criteria”, and he was being discharged. Interesting… How did they go from accepting him as a patient because he DID meet criteria and had 2 different psychiatrists at the transferring hospital recommended inpatient care. Also after a behavior health specialist reviewed his medical records and agreed to the transfer of care to their facility. Only to have them tell my sister and brother in law who were in CRISIS that he did not meet criteria once they found out he did not have Medicaid. I honestly cannot put into words how Royal Oaks completely FAILED my family. This was their first experience needing to seek emergent care for my nephews mental health and it couldn’t have gone any worse. It the end, they agreed to transfer a 10 year old MINOR 4 hours away from his parents to be turned away. This was about insurance and money and nobody will ever convince me otherwise. It is absolutely disgusting. I hope this doesn’t make my family lose faith in the system to try to get my nephew help in the future. Royal Oaks and their entire administration should be ashamed of themselves in how my family was treated. Ultimately this will set my nephew back even further with his mental health, as if it’s not already an impossible situation to navigate. I am disgusted by their lack of integrity and their greed to get as much money as possible from each patient. Patient’s who are in desperate need of help, especially with the lack of mental health resources in general in this country. Do not send your loved ones here.
Send your kid to Heartland Behavioral in Nevada Missouri. You will be glad you passed on this place.
y'all got some issues of your own first off I was told "you're making yourself puke" (turns out I actually have severe GI issues 😀.) second off I got booty juice and I was asleep for almost like 6 hours strait. I… specifically asked not to have male watchers because of past trauma.........they didn't give a shit, also I wasn't allowed to have pork and they gave it to me almost each meal. also I had bad hallucinations (still do) and one of the nurses said "I cant do this" and left another kid to handle it. parents PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE.
Do not come here. They had staff watch me shower even though I was low risk and I got dragged by my hair and arms by staff to seclusion when I was crying about missing my mom. I was 12.
Had moldy food, the only respectable and good staff was evening/night shift day shift was absolutely horrid. Absolutely no care abt actual mental health through the regular day staff. I was there 3 yrs ago
I had zero correspondence while my son was a patient. Staff gave us 3 different times for parental phone calls, which means 2 of the times given were wrong. The psychologist medicated my son without a consultation and… without consent given. This facility is a Medicaid cash grab of a sham. My son is making threats the one time he called home and staff is un bothered and content to send him home for us do deal with the fallout of a medication I never consented to.
David has been great to work with.
I loved my time there
I would not even consider this place of establishment. The way that the children are treated and handle is not okay. The way that staff talk to each. Food is trash and
This place for me was a good experience I was in here for 6 months and they gave me everything I need and some of what I wanted everything that went bad was not on them it was either other patients or the foster care… system the only thing that I didn't like is they gave my a new anti depression med and now I have permanent lock jaw from it but again that's not necessarily there fault
they were so nice n kind i hated when i had to leave bc i met so many nice workers there lowk miss some of the staff there
Worst ever👎
I have had been to many hospitals due to my mental health but this one helped me so much you are not on the unit all day you are at groups mostly and the food is amazing it's actually made right and the staff are so… helpful and don't restrain you automatically but find other ways to help you calm down the last thing they do is restrain you the make sure you are well and make sure you are I am a lot better now
idrk what to say I was in their from October 24 to November 1 they put me on some medication and I didn't work, so they upped my dose and it still didn't work idk if its my mind or not I'm currently 13 and I was 13 for… a little over a month when I went their, I've struggled with mental health since I was 11 and have /// since then, pretty much all of the older staff has a serious attitude problem I was laying on my back on the floor watching bluey and I had to put a sweater over my chest I get it that I have more boobs than a normal 13 yo but that just made me really insecure at that time explicitly the beds suck they need to be more coumfy the first night I was their I started crying bc I missed my family and I wanted my baby sister and my dog so they gave me a prn to get me to go to sleep, I had a therapist their I forgot his name tbh but I opened up to him and stuff and told him how my dad punishes me for being a bad kid, after that I couldn't talk to my dad, being strip searched sucked aswell it was weird, and I have long hair to abt to my butt I also have layers bc of how thick my hair is, so I needed a hair tie and they didn't give u hair ties u got small little rubber bans that barely hold up ur hair the nurses r nice tho and getting peer unit is the worst it sucks and is not a true way to punish ppl and the school is just a teacher that teaches u stuff from when u were in like 3 grade, also when ur school sends u work ur supposed to do it and then they send it back, I did it but they never sent it back I had to redo a bunch of assignments and had to take time out of my electives to do them it was not vary fun in my opinion this is prolly not the best place to go, but Thiers different outcomes for everyone Halloween was fun, Evan tho we went tricker treating at 2PM!!! kinda early, and they make u get up kinda early to, I have a friend that just recently went their and her experience sucked aswell it was bad and everything it gets 1 point for the food tho
I have been here 2 times. And I got the help I needed. The staff are great. The nurses and doctors are also great thank you cam, kayla, jazzmyn and Natalie and a whole bunch others. I would recommend to anyone needing… help. 10/10 for me. The food here is so good they even have special diets for kids that need them. Thank you so much for the help you guys gave me.
I've been to this hospital two different times, second time they took me into this room to test for ADHD. They gave me a crappy test, I had to press the space bar once the screen flashed, it was SO quick and I didn't… even know what I was doing.. anyway they diagnosed me with ADHD so I was put on medicine that my parents weren't aware of. I don't remember who the doctors were but its been a year since that happened, and this doctor named Krystal that works at medical WON'T give my mother a call back, let alone give me MY med list so I can be put back on medication. She obviously doesn't understand how serious this is OR should be working there. Otherwise the hospital is good, some staff needs an attitude check (Rachel..) but otherwise I made friends with most. The foods bomb and the lounge in both units are spacious and nice. The beds do need an upgrade though.
Wonder facility! Great communication and care of my daughter. The doctor is incredible and so much compassion was taken and they really got to the bottom of things. I definitely recommend Royal Oaks as #1! Only down… side, beds are rock hard, pillows are tiny and hard and one or two staff members ignored my daughter as she felt. But overall.... If she needs to go back anywhere,it will be Royal Oaks for sure!
One of the best hospitals around! They actually take the time to help each patient, lots of interactive activities during treatment. My family member was being treated for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. The psychiatrist… prescribed them a new medication to help with OCD. I’m not sure how long the insurance covers but this is acute so between probably 3-10 days I’m guessing or week average, maybe some go a bit longer. Very structured setting with lots of activities and friendly tech nurses. Would recommend to any family seeking short term acute care for a teen in crisis or dealing with other behavioral issues.
Good staff and good therapy they helped me alot with what I did
Trust me they are rude as hell and I hate they look through my notebook and people were mean to me
