Sequoia Counseling Services – Salt Lake City

So far I have had a great experience here! I just wanted to offer a suggestion. It would be really helpful if you had an online payment link or portal. I often have trouble reaching someone by phone, and I work 9 am to… 5 pm. I think an online payment option would make things much easier for customers like me. Thanks for considering it!

This place is horrible we spoke with Gabriel he is very very rude NOT professional at all. I think his title of being a "councilor" makes him feel like he's superior. He was defiantly not there to help, we requested an… evaluation that we paid for and he was making it impossible to get what we paid for and questioning why I (the wife was calling) very immature plus his English sucks. Not recommended

Sequoia Counseling provides excellent services. Gabriel Morillo demonstrates a high level of professionalism and offers exceptional flexibility in scheduling. Additionally, the availability of immediate appointment… openings makes their services especially accessible and convenient.

I'd like to leave 0 stars but I can't. He's very rude and unprofessional. He rarely answers and is always rushing around. When you try to explain things, he doesn't let you speak; he only thinks about taking money from… people. I recommend he hold his classes somewhere else.

We all find ourselves in some of the worst situations! The end of 2023 I had made some high risk decisions that would affect me forever! Perspective will change everything after takjng a deep dive into who I am snd whst… makes me tick, I stopped internalizing everything and it hit like a ton of btickd play stupid games, well you'll win stupid prizes! With that being said, if you find yourself needing a situation that is out of uour control? Or court ordered treatment Sequoia Counseling Services is the only place i would go or refer anyone to? Joe and Lujean have become a crucial part of this new chapter in my life with such a beautiful approach at addressing the root cause of the oroblem and a roadmap of jow to get snd stay on your new path to a better life! As frustrating as it was I wouldn't changeva thing and am so grateful to hsve the wonderful human beings in my life and especially in my corner thanks fir everything you guys do!... Blake-

Joe is amazing and he really cares he really tries to help people out with their circumstance in life situations that they're going through

I had to take court ordered anger management classes and Sequoia was amazing and so helpful. The amount of useful information I learned in my time there helps me every day. The staff is amazing and will work with your… schedule and work with you if you are having trouble affording the classes. I would recommend Sequoia to anyone that needs help. They help!

This place is a very unique one of a kind place that has helped me better understand myself and motivated me to be a better person. In all honesty classes can be somewhat of a pain but the reality of it is that it’s… exactly as I learned, something beautiful can come from adversity. Whatever you are struggling with be open to what wisdom that this place can shed on your life. There is something very special about the approach the clinical director Joe takes on delivering good insight on subjects he has gained through many experienced years in the field. I highly recommend the in person groups because that’s where you can find those gems he does that just come from the genuine spirit of this existence we might refer to as the human endeavor. This place was put into my life for a reason and I hope you can take the chance with open heart to let it help and heal yours as well. Mr. Rogers taught me to tie my shoes so I’ll try and share more love and kindness from now on.

Way overpriced for their service. Also really inconvenient that they only accept cash. Scheduling for their courses are an inconvenient also, I waited about 2 months to take a required class, but ended up finding… another provider

I have to agree with the last review. It clearly comes across that they want your money!! You can be innocent and he'll recommend classes anyway just to take your money. The front desk receptionist is very kind, but Joe… will gaslight you and try to take your money by any means. I'd recommend Amethyst Counseling. They don't try to gouge you for money.

Do not use this company. Extremely unprofessional and very rude. I scheduled an appointment. They cancelled on me an never told me. They would not return my calls. ** You have been warned **

They added classes for no reason The classes appointed to me were completed. But they decided to add more. Probably for money

I had a great experience!!! If you really want to find out about yourself and try to better yourself, Joe is a great therapist and if you will take the time to listen to him you will learn. The glue to Sequoia… Counseling Services is Brennan, he handles all of the paperwork and keeps track of schedules and progress of all of the people in the different programs. They make a great team!!! Joe, thank you for taking the time to get to know me and being a great, great therapist.

This was a terrible experience. I originally called because the website says they do relationship counseling. I asked the guy who answered to be sure and he said they do. So I scheduled an appointment for the following… week. They called me the day of my appointment about 1 hr before I was going to go in, to reschedule. I rescheduled for the following week. So my new appointment day came, we went in to the office, we even took time off of work, just to be told by the guy at the front desk he "forgot" to call and tell us they don't do relationship counseling anymore so couldn't see us. I wasted 2 weeks of my time when I could have been exploring other options had I been told about this when i called. Just based on that I will assume no one from this office will read this or address this huge issue. Hopefully no one else's time is wasted like mine was. Very disappointed.

This place is the way to go when it comes to counseling services. Joe is the man and will get you through it!!
