I was at the Westcare facility there in Ashcamp from early 2024 till mid fall 2024. I'd heard horror stories about the facility and staff while incarcerated. I was shocked when arrived there to finish my sentence out.… The food is actually good and the staff...I cried when I left. The men and women there had made me feel like a human being. They helped me through the re-entry process and were professional yet human. I may not have agreed with every procedure there, but they cared and it showed. Mr. Sebastian, and everyone there... thank you for all you did.

I was there only for a temporary home placement. And that was 5 years ago. April of 2019,and they force you to go along with the program even if your only there temporarily, you have to tattletale on everyone and for… the stupidest reasons like not tying your shoes not combing you hair saying a curse word. And have you stand on some line on the floor and humiliate you by pointing out your flaws. Then at the end of the day they make you sit at a table and endlessly write i will not curse like 10 times for each mark up. They have you sign up for foodstamps and insurance and use those foodstamps to purchase food and then they don't give you adequate portions. They won't let you keep your phone when that's the only way to seek housing. They don't offer any resources to help you find housing. I wasn't an addict or alcoholic when I went there but it definitely made me think about becoming one just to find an escape from that madness. Just another type of prison, with slightly better food and smoking.

This review is a little late in the making. This treatment facility, it's programs and it's staff were great. This is the type of treatment center you want when you are truly ready to change. I've seen a lot of ppl just… quit and leave because of, well , you name it. If a person isn't truly ready for change then any excuse to leave is good enough no matter what treatment center it is. If you or a loved one or someone you know has a problem with addiction and is ready, I mean truly ready for positive change then I believe Westcare will help you do it.

It wasn't a bad experience it is what you make of it I met a heck of a bunch of good people there and actually had a good time and would have stayed had it not been for troubles at home

My Husband was in this facility, and he talked to me when he could, he complained that majority of the staff was double standard. Plus they had to carry a chair around every where they went, they cleaned more than… anything at all... No Covid Vaccine No Visit, this place was a bad experience for him... I don't recommend it... All of the guys was complaining as well...

This place changed my life I'm now clean an sober , I have regained my family , a job , and the knowledge , and tools that I needed to suceed being sober. My counselor Mr Ratliff understands the mindset of an addict .… We all have a choice to either get clean or not . And the people that run off or give bad reviews in my opinion dont want to change , if nothing changes then nothing changes . I spent my whole life giving in to drugs the easy way it takes work to stay clean .

Beautiful Facility - Enjoyed my visit with Management… Like most treatment facilities, a tremendous amount of opportunities and resources are provided by professional staff. Unfortunately Not everyone is ready for the… available life transformation.

My son ran from there for his safety. After trying to recover his belongings, finally they were sent to his new facility. They were NOT his. Mostly women's clothes smelling of feces and urine. The new clothes and… luggage gone. The packages that were delivered to this facility were delivered in his name after he left were signed for and kept. They were in transit and I could not stop delivery. This place should be closed. And Kerr, he shouldn't be allowed to speak.

I spent 107 days there and learned how to look at myself in a sobering way cause I was clean for 3 months. The way they explained it and showed me how to look at my problems in the way that they where instead looking at… them and trying to justify them. It was a nice place, they showed they cared about us.

This place is a complete joke. Mr. Kerr is a joke. The emphasis is not recovery but turning in your peers for infractions of the petty rules. Almost all clients are either court or DOC required to be there. If you are… trying to recover from addiction, I would suggest you try elsewhere.

My Son is at this facility and had broken his ankle last night around 730 to 8 oclock PM playing basket ball and was taken to the local hospital on 4/19/2019 and he was released around 11PM the same night and he is… still sitting there as of right now 4/202019 at 3PM he's had nothing to eat and is in a pair of gym shorts and T shirt and cold, this is total BS my question is who is responsible for this young man eating and his well being it is almost as if they want him to leave so they can put a charge on him for escape! Someone is going to answer for this because it is total BS!!! They told us that he would be picked up this morning and still not done.
