YNHS at Chuck Austin Place – Yakima Detox and Rehab Services
The provision listed at YNHS at Chuck Austin Place – Yakima is intensive outpatient and outpatient care. The structured element runs during the day and people go home afterwards. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The record shows integrated treatment rather than one problem then the other. It is worth asking how many hours a week the program runs, because that decides whether it fits around everything else.

YNHS at Chuck Austin Place – Yakima Reviews and Ratings
Reviews are where patients and families describe YNHS at Chuck Austin Place in their own terms: the welcome at admission, the counseling, the planning for life after treatment.
Reading them is a sensible step before calling the Yakima facility. Writing one, if you have been treated there, helps the families who come next.
Wish I were a veteran, the place is quite nice. I've only ever been in one of the studio apartments, nice and cozy. They offer a lot of help and services for free to the residents.
Really nice housing for low income veterans
Apartments I give a 2 because we've had so many problems for being the first renters. Mark's construction definitely cut corners building these apartments. But Yakima did good building housing for veterans this got many… veterans off the streets who were homeless.
Brand new apartments for veterans experiencing homelessness and their families. This is a much needed safe solution to the streets. Adjacent to the Tahoma cemetery, this 41-unit housing project run by YHA is definitely… haunted. It can be kinda scary at times but at least it is shelter for Yakima's veterans. For being brand new however, the buildings are already breaking down & repairs are never timely. You can hear your next door neighbors like they live in the same apartment due to the hollow walls. Not good if you have mean, nosey or loud neighbors. Parking for residents is strange at best! Most people think that the assigned parking spaces between the buildings are oversized sidewalks. Its a very poorly planned, one-way parallel parking design that is super narrow making it a tight fit for every vehicle, especially larger ones and its a nightmare to navigate in the ice & snow. There is a medical & dental clinic for residents only, a small library, a gymnasium (also open to the public during office hours), on-site coin-operated laundry rooms, and a community garden & kitchen available to all residents. Representatives for many Veteran supportive services are available on-site Monday thru Thursday. Patrolled by Phoenix security several times a night makes it safe. As a whole, it is a great idea that has a few kinks to work out but its a home, not homeless! I am a veteran of the US Navy and a grateful resident.. Thank you so much for giving me a home in a safe (AND TOTALLY HAUNTED) place to live.
They're going to have a big advantage very helpful the place is clean quiet everyone's working doing their job and their job is helping me and that's what they do I would recommend that place to anyone thank you
The one woman I saw in an office off the lobby was short with me and had a rude tone when talking to me. Does she talk down to every veteran who enters the building? She acted like my presence inconvenienced her.
7 years In the making
We will be loving it here.
The facility is shaping up quite well and the mission of the folks who are putting this on is honorable. An absolute blessing and necessity for our service men and women. I also think it's great that the complex was the… old Army Reserve. I'm glad to see that this area will provide for those who need it the most.
