Rehabs That Take ELAP Services

ELAP Services works with self-funded employer health plans, helping them manage how medical claims are priced and paid. It is not an insurer, and the employer’s plan sets the benefits. Plans that use ELAP can include coverage for drug and alcohol treatment, with rules that vary by plan design and level of care.

Centers in Iowa and Nebraska name ELAP on their websites. Plans using this kind of pricing approach may not rely on a traditional network, so ask your plan administrator how facility bills are handled. Before admission, also ask the facility about prior authorization, how it bills these plans and any balance you could owe.

Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does ELAP Services cover rehab?

Yes, but only to the extent the employer's plan allows. ELAP sets no benefits of its own; it prices and audits facility bills for self-funded employers. Whether detox, residential care, PHP, IOP or outpatient treatment is paid for sits in the plan document and is administered by a TPA such as Imagine360, UMR or Trustmark.

ELAP member materials describe audits of hospital, outpatient surgery center and skilled nursing bills; behavioral health facilities are not named, so confirm the benefit with the administrator before admission.

Is ELAP Services the same as Imagine360?

Yes. ELAP Services and Group & Pension Administrators announced on January 18, 2022 that they had come together as Imagine360, and the rebrand began that quarter. The old ELAP website now carries Imagine360 branding and states that ELAP Services is now Imagine360. Imagine Health was named as a contributing company.

Imagine360 is privately owned and still works from the former ELAP headquarters at 1550 Liberty Ridge Drive in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Private Insurance Acceptedhttps://rehabseekers.com/insurance-accepted/private-insurance-accepted/
Is ELAP Services an insurance company?

No. It is a cost containment and member advocacy company serving self-funded employers, which pay medical claims from their own funds instead of buying insurance. ELAP audits facility claims against plan limits and holds no insurance risk, while Imagine360 now also acts as a third-party administrator.

Because benefits sit in the employer's plan document, two companies using the same pricing approach can pay very differently for identical treatment.

ELAP Services is not an insurance company. It is a reference-based pricing and balance-billing advocacy firm based in Wayne, Pennsylvania that works for self-funded employer health plans, and since 2022 it has traded as Imagine360. For anyone weighing addiction treatment, the practical consequence is simple: the employer’s plan document decides what is covered, and ELAP decides what the bill is worth.

The mechanics appear in ELAP’s own employee and HR materials. A third-party administrator receives the facility claim, sends it to ELAP, ELAP audits it against the plan’s limits, and the administrator issues the explanation of benefits. ELAP holds none of the insurance risk. Prices are benchmarked rather than discounted from a charge master, usually against Medicare or the hospital’s reported actual cost plus a markup; a November 2023 report in the Philadelphia Inquirer put the out-of-network figure at Medicare plus 20%.

Since the January 2022 combination with Group & Pension Administrators, Imagine360 also administers plans itself, so the same name can now appear on the card, the explanation of benefits and the audit. This guide covers what an ELAP plan pays for at each level of care, where authorization sits, what treatment costs, how medication is handled, what in-network means on an open-access plan, and how to find a program.
