Why Trust RehabSeekers.com?

RehabSeekers is an independent behavioral health directory covering drug and alcohol addiction and mental health treatment providers.

Every listing has a source: an official register, a licensing record, or details the facility sent us.

Credentials shown honestly. Accreditation, licensing and registration listed separately.

Reviews shown exactly as written. Never edited, never removed because a facility asked.

No commission, no referral fees. Nothing a facility pays for changes where it appears.

Contact details always go direct. Calls reach the facility itself, never a call centre.

Common questions

Answered from what is listed here.

Does Massachusetts Laborers Benefit Funds cover rehab?

Yes, the Massachusetts Laborers' Health and Welfare Fund covers inpatient and outpatient substance use disorder treatment under both Plan A and Plan B. Care must be delivered in network, through the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts EPO network, because out-of-network treatment is not covered except in emergencies.

Inpatient mental health and substance use admissions need preauthorization, which the provider requests from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. Benefits are not paid when a required authorization is missing.

Inpatient Rehabhttps://rehabseekers.com/programs/inpatient/
How much does inpatient rehab cost with Massachusetts Laborers Benefit Funds?

Plan A charges a $100 copay per admission in 2026, then pays the next $20,000 in full, then 15% coinsurance, capped at $2,000 per admission. Plan B charges $250 per admission, then 15% coinsurance, with a $5,000 maximum per admission.

A calendar-year deductible also applies: $250 individual and $500 family under Plan A, $500 and $1,000 under Plan B. The medical out-of-pocket maximum is $6,350 individual.

Residential Rehabhttps://rehabseekers.com/programs/residential/
Does Massachusetts Laborers Benefit Funds cover detox?

Yes, inpatient detox is covered in network under both plans, with the same cost sharing as any other mental health or substance use admission: $100 per admission under Plan A and $250 under Plan B. Out-of-network detox is not covered except in an emergency.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts asks for notification within 48 hours of an inpatient detox admission, and the fund's own plan document requires preauthorization for inpatient care.

Massachusetts Laborers’ Benefit Funds (MLBF) is a group of union benefit trusts for LiUNA construction laborers in Massachusetts, and the Health and Welfare Fund is the one that pays for addiction treatment. It runs two plans, Plan A and Plan B, both built on the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts EPO network, so the trust sets the benefit and Blue Cross supplies the network a program has to sit inside.

The fund is a Taft-Hartley multiemployer trust governed by a joint board of union and employer trustees, not an insurance company, and it is self-administered: claims go to the Fund Office in Burlington on 800-342-3792. Eligibility is earned in hours, 1,000 recorded hours in a 12-month qualifying period for Plan A or 700 for Plan B, each giving six months of coverage. The fund paid $183,693,207 in benefits in plan year 2025.

This guide covers what Plan A and Plan B pay in 2026 for detox, inpatient and residential care, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and counseling; where preauthorization applies and who files it; what addiction medication costs through Express Scripts; and how to find a program inside the Blue Cross EPO network.
