ER Visit I went in for a severe medical condition I had. I was checked in within 3 minutes. I had my vitals taken and was placed in a room within 6- 10 minutes. After a nurse quickly greeted me and informed me that the… doctor would be with me shortly. I waited approximately 45 minutes to see the doctor. The doctor was extremely professional and diagnosed a condition I wasn't aware of before. He prescribed me medication and provided me with medical equipment. Total time in and out of the hospital was 1 Hr. 45 minutes. I do want to note that I have a known condition, and X-rays/MRIs have been done in the past, to the point where it was not necessary. Overall, extremely satisfied with the care they provided.

The VA staff here only seems to care about other staff members. Veterans are there to help other Veterans figure out where to go, because without them none of the staff will help. Several VA staff members think it's… amusing to send Veterans to strange places far away from their appointment areas. The VA doctors are like seeing Joe Biden. Completely out of it, wanted to sniff my hair and get handsy. Then sign vets up for mystery shots and screw up medical prescriptions. I was informed there is no VA community care at or given by this VA facility, even though it says it on every VA website and documents. Something is seriously wrong and corrupted at this VA facility.

My first visit and it was not what I expected. I arrived at the ER at a good time. The lobby mostly empty. I went through Triage, a Nurse, then a Dr., then a Treatment Nurse within 45 minutes. But what impressed me the… most was how polite and professional everyone was. I mean even the VA Policemen were kind, asking how I was, saying Hello just like the ER staff was. A bit of a drive but I will be back.

It is like they don’t care about you here. They never believe you, you sacrifice a lot in your mind and body but get nothing in return. There medical and disability evaluations are a joke and they don’t even properly do… it. One of the worst VA hospitals I have been too. Always forgotten after your back in civilian life. Great way to treat your military veterans.

6 hours of sitting in the ER room waiting to be seen, 20+ others ahead of me -- I had to leave. Who has 10 hours of sitting in pain and agony to spare? Are we so far gone as a society that the sick and desperate are… obligated to sit and suffer for hours just to be seen and get relief. This ER should be shut down it's useless and serves false hope of relief. Disgusting, and there's nothing we can do about it.

Just dropped off one of your staffers wow she is rude, and not very observant didnt even realize her rideshare driver is a disable vet with, a disable vet plate. Hope she treats my fellow vets better than she did me… Kelly you should be ashamed of yourself.

If I could give it zero stars I would. My husband is constantly getting new primary care Doctors. Most of them wont listen to any of his concerns. He has been dealing with chronic pain for a while and none of the people… he has reached out to for help have. At one point he had a nurse tell him he would never get surgery or anything to help with his pain. Shame on this facility for treating its veterans the way it does.

My late husband and I were always treated with respect and dignity, thru out his treatment at Carl T. Hayden Veteran's Hospital. He had passed away there last year. The nurses and doctors were so good to him, and also… to me. Especially, the nurses on the 3rd floor , and then the ICU. Especially : Monique. Kathy. Danielle , Sylvia and others who were so extra kind to me .. as my husband was going thru his death process. That level of compassion , kindness and genuine caring for my Marine and me will never be forgotten. Thank you ! ❤️

They were horrible. I went in to register with the VA. First they couldnt find me in the system. Then They said" Sir we cant help you , you were ONLY IN THE NATIONAL GUARD. Your service isnt really important. Really? if… that is the case then i will tell everyone who might be interested in joining the National Guard to forget it, Your time wont matter according to the VA. the woman who helped me acted like she couldnt be bothered and she didnt wish to be there.

So nice to be a Veteran and to get the care I received, March 12 - 17, 2026. Dr Lara, my spine surgeon, and her team were highly professional and caring throughout my entire stay. NP Courtney (spine) is outstanding.… Every single person I encountered was professional and responsive to any of my needs. Even the janitor and food service worked, stopped and said hello. I received a blood transfusion on my 5th day, and was in tears not knowing the outcome. Nurse, Lab and Staff convinced me and calmed me for the procedure. My hemoglobin went up! The food, as picky an eater that I am, was favorable. Thank you, Medical Center Director, Dr Lara and the entite VAMC Team.

just total dumpster fire... the VA as a whole. My husband had been waiting months to see "the only provider that can help him" and every time we get close to the appointment they CANCEL. Community Care doesn't actually… help anytime either! So tired of seeing the total BS and hoops they try to make our service members go through. Honestly I don't know those in charge sleep at night.

Other than pills and disability money, there is NO healthcare plan for our service connected disabled veterans! If it couldn't be packaged in a pill, the VA denied ALL treatment to my friend with a purple heart from… Vietnam. MY DAD DIED WAITING FOR TREATMENT FROM THE VA. MY FRIEND ALSO DIED 2 YEARS LATER WAITING FOR TREATMENT.
