I stayed recently at Prescott House for the last three months through the gambling program. Therapists Bobby Engel and David oversaw my primary therapy needs and helped develop condusive aftercare and coping mechanisms… to ensure success. I have to notably thank all the staff at P. House, Bobby and David specifically for setting me up well and right to come home!

Prescott House was an excellent experience for our family. Having our son in treatment for gambling /addiction was unsettling at first, but the team at Prescott house kept us informed at our son's progress and eased our… anxiety. Bobby the gambling counselor was extremely, kind but direct with us and our son. He was knowledgeable as well as instrumental in bringing out coping skills and tools to navigate sober living . Thank you to all the great staff at Prescott House.

I cannot recommend Prescott House enough. As the support person, my experience was different but it was incredible. I was in frequent communication with Bobby (the best therapist!) and he did a fantastic job making sure… I was as involved as possible throughout the 90 day program. I also visited for family weekend and had a session with Bobby and my partner. It was exactly what we needed to move forward and I appreciate how it was handled. I felt like everything was very catered to us and our situation and I appreciated that so much.

Went in for treatment for the Gambling program. Bobby was incredible. Best gambling therapist out there. Really hard to find that. I was able to learn an incredible amount and change my life around. To have Bobby as my… therapist and be able to relate to him and feel comfortable to open about my life more than ever and be able to grow from that. If you’re struggling with gambling I highly recommend going to Prescott house. One of the most insidious addictions but there is a way out and Bobby is the man to help.

The gambling program is incredible, Bobby was able to connect with me on a personal level, and gave me the tools to better my situation. I couldn’t recommend this program enough.

My family member stayed at Prescott House recently and received excellent treatment. From my own standpoint, the admissions process was superb from that very first phone call with Steve D. Steve D. truly cares and helps… both the client and family feel comfortable with the decision to take that step. This journey is not easy on the family at home waiting (sometimes impatiently) for unknown results. Steve was the very best support for me at various times throughout my family member’s stay and was a calming voice of reason to help me “trust the process” when I felt hopeless. Steve was right and we got the best possible results possible and we are so happy we selected Prescott House for treatment. If you make that call to Prescott House, I hope you are fortunate enough to speak with Steve, he is a gem! ~~~~ **As a side note, I do need to mention the only negative experience that could easily be remediated. My family member’s nurse practitioner was Stephen Aiello. He took no interest in my family member and refused to speak with me when I had concerns. We both found him to be very unprofessional and not interested in helping with prescription meds. The time spent with my family member was extremely short and quite rushed. **My advice would be to keep your own prescribing doctor at home upon admission and work out regular tele-health visits until Prescott House improves this aspect. I didn’t take away any stars for this because the rest of the experience at Prescott House was top notch.

I was a resident at the Prescott House for five months in the year 2023 and i have a hard time finding a constructive thing to say. From the day I walked in, every staff member made it clear that they wanted to help me… heal. The group therapy work was challenging but to this day I benefit from those sessions. Their program setup allowed me to get a job after three months which helped me reconnect in the community. Their continued care program allowed for me to check in with other residents who had recently moved into an apartment or sober living in the Prescott area. The thing that separates Prescott House from every other center I’ve been to is the strength of the community. Three years later I keep in touch with several of the men I went through with and I hold pride in my time at Prescott house more than anywhere else. The success I have in my life today would not be possible without the fundamentals Prescott House taught me in recovery and for life. If you or a loved one is looking for a refresh or a restart in life I recommend you reach out to the Prescott House team.

I give you 0 stars because this business uses deceptive marketing and obscure if not illegal billing cash or insurance. I made a review outlining how unethical prescott house is, the owner borrowed me money after I… graduated their program for having a money and gambling problem and massively confused ethical, personal and professional boundaries. The owner of this treatment center while I was no longer a client came to my private residence and put a psychiatric provider on the phone who prescribed me medications for free, no evaluation, no assessment, no informed consent, no hipaa, nothing. Wrote me a script over the phone because his personal friend, who owns p house asked him to. Stephen Aiello wasn't employed by them either but is currently their nurse practioner. Also their clinical director is unethical and let the owner, a golfer, make clinical decisions. I am writing this review to complain about my past experience and to complain that their current prescriber is unethical

Prescott House truly changed my life. I spent 90 days there for gambling treatment and left with real tools, clarity, and hope for the future. My therapist, Bobby Engle, was a godsend—he genuinely cared, challenged me… when I needed it most, and played a pivotal role in my recovery. If you’re struggling with compulsive gambling, there’s no one better to have in your corner. I’m incredibly grateful to Bobby and the entire team.

The program only works as well as the person choosing to work it. My estranged spouse chose not to attend the proper meetings but instead chose to attend more comfortable & familiar meetings. He would flake on his daily… chores, not complete worksheets & manipulate the grocery system. He basically became comfortable enough to start treating it like a frat house & did just enough to float by. The Prescott House made some breakthroughs w/ their various forms of therapy & daily routine/activities but I knocked off two stars because I discovered the disclosure was scripted. Everything I wanted to hear about the acknowledgement of the damage/harm they caused, was scripted. Rewritten in the client's hand from a printed, formatted, worksheet. And the actual disclosure of the transgressions was unremarkable. Overwhelming at the time of hearing it (because you think they've matured enough to know how its affected you) but, I realized how vague & incomplete it was. It wasn't everything I had discovered on my own from a "cleaned" phone, but it did have one major thing added in. Essentially it was more manipulation & breadcrumbing on a different level. I recommend Prescott House for anyone seeking recovery but the program only works as well as the person working it. If they choose not to face recovery w/ rigorous honesty & integrity, it can only be faked for so long. The script wasn't cool. It would be worth it for everyone if it came organically from the client. Even if they need to stay twice as long + for it to emerge naturally.

My husband spent 100 days at Prescott Recovery House, and I can say with my whole heart it was the BEST decision we have ever made! Before this, he went to what we thought was one of the top addiction treatment centers… in the country (Sierra Tuscon) and honestly… it doesn’t even compare. Prescott was a MILLION times better. More effective. More personal. More real. The therapists and clinicians here don’t just do their jobs, they genuinely care in a way you can feel every single day. I’m a therapist myself, and I have NEVER seen clinicians make this kind of impact. Not just on the client, but on the entire family. This program doesn’t just help people get sober, it changes lives, relationships, and the way you understand healing. Bobby Engel, my husband’s primary therapist, is hands down the most influential person we could have asked for during this journey. He didn’t just show up for my husband, he showed up for all of us. The love and support he gave our family during some of the most emotional and honestly scary moments of our lives is something I will never forget. He helped calm fears we didn’t even know how to put into words. Jon, Jeff, and Tim were also incredible. Every single person on this team brings so much heart, passion, and authenticity. You can feel that this is more than a job to them.. it’s who they are. I truly cannot say this loud enough: if someone you love is struggling with addiction, they NEED to go here. Don’t “consider it” or “look into it” .. Go here! This place didn’t just help my husband, it changed ALL of our lives forever, and I will always be grateful for that. Prescott holds a special place in our hearts!

Going to Prescott house to get support for my addiction was a game changer and life saver. I went for my gambling addiction back in July of ‘24 and never gambled again. Bobby had a genuine warmth that immediately made… me feel safe sharing my story and created a desire within me to want to be better for myself and for my family. He has an emotional stability and a way to create rapport that made everything easier to face during a time in my life that was just Yuck. I loved every moment at the Prescott house and am so grateful to Bobby and their staff for the continual and ongoing support. Brian

The Prescott House undermined my trust in the therapeutic process and made it significantly more difficult to recover from my potent mix of mental illnesses. I was there a few years ago for 6 months, I struggled some… with the process because I have interminable trust issues, but I was improving, I believed things were going really well, and I had hope I would get even better. Then they told me suddenly one day that I'd be leaving the very next day. They tried to feed me some bs about how I was "ready" when I clearly wasnt, and sent me home right as the planet entered covid-19 lockdown with no support structure. They emailed my father a couple of months later to check in, but I think they should know now that I've never been the same since. Their mishandling of my recovery has been so ruinous to my subsequent attempts to seek mental health therapy that I have given up entirely on the healing process and have no more hope that I will ever be able to live an emotionally-balanced and well-adjusted life. I'm uncertain how much blame can be assigned to the Prescott House staff since I now fully believe in my inherent brokenness, but their treatment of me has been without question the single most negatively-impactful event of my life for the past 5 years and I believe they should know that they failed and my life has been in jeopardy ever since. I wish I'd never gone.

I was at Prescott House from September of 2024 until graduating from the program in October of 2025. Prescott House saved my life. More than that, it gave me back a life to live. The therapists and staff are… compassionate about their mission. Most of them have been to Prescott House themselves and are paying it forward. It will not be easy. You are going to give them complete control of your life. Sounds terrible, doesn’t it? Well, how has being in control of your life worked out for you so far? No, it will not be easy. They are going to stretch you emotionally and intellectually farther than you dreamed you could ever go. At times, you will hate it. It will be the most difficult thing you have ever attempted. And your greatest accomplishment. There is a rich spiritual and institutional memory at Prescott House. You will be among a lengthy line of brothers who faced the fear you have. You will also share unforgettable bonds with the other men. If you, or someone who cares about you, are reading this there is a reason. It is to save and transform your life. Prescott House saved mine. If you have lost hope, please call them.

5 Stars review Prescott House is truly a life-changing place. The staff here is compassionate, knowledgeable, and committed to helping each individual on their journey to recovery. The programs are tailored to address… not just addiction but also the underlying issues, providing a holistic approach to healing. The environment is supportive and structured, creating a space where you can focus on personal growth. I’ve witnessed firsthand the dedication of the team in fostering accountability, self-awareness, and long-term recovery skills. If you or a loved one are seeking help, Prescott House is the place to start building a healthier and more fulfilling future. I’m incredibly grateful for all they’ve done! Mike Z.

This place didn't cure me, but I don't think any place would. What I got was the tools and resources I need to make my recovery my own. I'm capable of living a healthy life, now it's up to me to do the work. Everyone… was really understanding and compassionate but also kinda mean haha, but it was in a loving way. I know that the Prescott House truly cares about me and the rest of their clients. Of all the treatment centers I've checked in to, this was the most successful and caring of them all. I can't recommend them enough. Warning: if you're looking for luxury and comfort, this is NOT the place. Honestly, it's pretty... meh. But personally I went to rehab for the treatment, not the atmosphere. I would go back in a heartbeat if I needed to.

I was a client here for three months, and I can not speak highly enough of the Prescott House. My time here was transformational to say the least. I've struggled against active addiction for many, many years and I am so… grateful to say that at the P-House, I found recovery and freedom from my addictions for the first time in my life. I can confidently say that each person I encountered there genuinely cared for us as clients, and they were available to be of assistance or support in whatever ways they could. The therapeutic plan was carefully, gently and firmly implemented, the group sessions were powerful, and the atmosphere was one of positivity and growth. If you or a loved one need help in your recovery journey, I HIGHLY recommend the Prescott House.

Nothing but empty promises from this place. Had a whole treatment plan, none of which happened. They put every new person in front of me to see the physiatrist so that I went weeks without getting to see her. I was also… refused my meds because of my “impatience”. Which means sitting in a chair for over a half an hour while Daniel tells somebody his life story so I could get my sleeping pill. I left one week early because my dog got sick while I was in inpatient. He died the next week. When I came to get my stuff, after discharging over the phone days prior.. Daniel would not let me have my stuff, my phone, credit cards, etc. said I was trespassing and would call the police for being there. Yet all my belongings were on property, somebody explain this? Lots of things happened here that staff did nothing about and let the clients work it out amongst each other. That’s basically prison. Staff is just a few people and they can’t handle what goes on here. My “suite” was barely functioning. You can’t use the microwave and the AC at the same time or the power would shut off. That’s because it was all wired against code and unsafe. My therapist quit 2 months into my treatment. Days later Prescott house told me I was done with treatment and could discharge.. I did not want to as I was less than two weeks from my 90 days. That’s not how something like this works, yet when I discharged (for unexpected reasons). They wouldn’t let me. Biggest joke of a rehab. Everybody I know that pushes this place should realize it wasn’t what it used to be. I regret coming here and it took me a while to get my footing after being here. They barely let me see my partner and very negatively affected my relationship and life.

I learned about Prescott House about 5 years ago when looking into treatment options for my son, who had been struggling with drug and alcohol addiction for about 10 years. My son opted against P-House at the time due… to the lengthy program duration, and ended up at another treatment center in Prescott. He did get and stay sober for a good length of time, but many of his underlying issues – particularly unresolved trauma – continued to fester and he struggled to remain sober, and cycled through several periods of dangerous, life-threating relapse and recovery before landing at Prescott House about 6 months ago. He felt hopeless and angry and was very resistant to entering the program, but with help and support from the Prescott House staff we were able to convince him to enter. I remember overhearing a conversation between him and a staff member who said “Come here and let us help you put this sh*! Behind you!” Not eloquent, but for someone who had lost hope, it resonated. Thus began the difficult work of recovery. I can’t say enough about the program and staff at Prescott House. The staff is comprised almost entirely of former clients who have turned their lives around; not only do they “walk the walk”, they are living, breathing examples of how to live a satisfying and sober life (not a perfect life or a life without problems, mind you). I can’t overemphasize the importance of this unique aspect of the P-House program. Another important part of the program is the strong emphasis on evidence-based treatment modalities, including individual and group counseling, education, life skills, community engagement, work and volunteer activities. The counselors are absolutely top-notch, with decades of experience working in the field; most of them have been at P-House for many years (in some cases decades), so are very skilled at navigating the multitude of challenges that the clients bring. The final element of P-House that is so beneficial to recovery is the strong sense of community that is at the heart of everything. In particular, the all-male environment fosters strong and lasting relationships that provide the framework and support at the heart of any good therapeutic environment. Prescott House has given my son the gift (very literally) of life. He just celebrated his 6-month sobriety anniversary last week. Although we never know what the future might bring, the Prescott House has helped him develop the tools he will need as he continues on the path of recovery. I strongly encourage anyone looking at addiction treatment programs for themselves or for loved ones to choose Prescott House.

We are forever grateful that our son made the decision to go to Prescott House. The staff has been nothing but professional, knowledgable and supportive from day 1. We appreciate the community of support both within… Prescott House as well as the entire Prescott community. This was not his first treatment program, but by far the most influential in his recovery.

This place saved my life. i’m a 21 year old from Atlanta. i entered phouse on october of 22 and left in march of 23. made so many meaningful connections and learned so many life lesions. the biggest thing about this… place is the staff. almost everybody on staff (with the exception of one) went through this treatment center, so empathy is HUGE. no matter how “troubled” you were, the staff here ALWAYS cared and had so much love for me. i will always be forever grateful for the prescott house.
