Addition from today. April 27, 2026: My previous review still applies and I am sticking to it. 🤭 I would like to add, that in addition to Dr. Sherman’s care for me, James is our Group Counselor/Therapist. We… consult/meet with both of them via ZOOM. Dr. Sherman is our MD and treats us individually and confidentially after our group meeting. James performs all of our other care/ counseling needs via the ZOOM session. I think very highly of James on a multitude of levels. He is very kind and personable and he has always been a definite asset to our healthcare practice. He is very in tune with my needs. Especially since he can empathize with me on a personal level as well as his very professional level. So, an additional THANK YOU to him from me today. 👍😁 Updated Review on January 29, 2026: Dr. Sherman has been my physician since 2018. I still feel the same way about him and his staff, as I did when I initially left this review, several years ago. Now at the age of 60, I still feel very positive and content with the treatment that I have always received here. The practice being named Compassionate Recovery Care is more than just a clever name. It is the most appropriate way to describe what we as patients receive here. I have him to thank for so much and I am just grateful I found him when I did. He’s a lifesaver! As I previously mentioned, he always asks me if I have anything going on, that may or may not be related to my ADHD that he regularly treats. Again, he never disappoints. 👍

The best doctor you could ask for ! We need more like him ,his wife Ms.Kristie , & his entire team !

Wonderful, Amazing, and just all together awesome. Very clean, professional and just have an amazing way to make u feel wanted and not alone. Very understanding... Love this place... would highly recommend to anybody… struggling with addiction or even those already in Recovery and need a place to feel at home and comfortable.

Good Afternoon…I’ve been seeing Dr. Sherman for a few months now…My experience has been pleasant…wether on line ( virtual ) or in person…Stsff is friendly and professional…I’d recommend to friends and family !

There are not enough words to describe how great Dr Sherman and his staff are. They treat you with care and make you feel very special. I've been sober for 3+ years and it's due to them.OK? 12/6/23 I have been blessed… with Dr. Sherman and his caring staff for over 4 years. He takes the time to listen and talk about anything. I have never felt rushed and they treat you like your very important and not just another patient. I actually look forward to my appointment.

Dr. Sherman is not only an excellent M.D., and Addictionologist, he is also a good man. I am a Licensed alcohol and drug abuse therapist and have been counseling patients with addiction problems in middle Tennessee for… over 30 years. I have referred patients who need to see an addictionologist to Dr. Sherman for many years with complete faith that they will receive top notch medical help from a caring and compassionate human being.

Dr Rogers was on a road trip, during this zoom meeting, but asusual his team did a great job.

I've been a patient of Dr. Roger since he first started his practice n he is a wonderful caring person n has helped me so much n I don't know what I would have done without him! I also know u will not find a better… doctor as caring! The best!

Dr Sherman is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. He was prepared to listen and actually took my point of view and concerns seriously. I have since followed up with a zoom visit. It's very important that I don't feel awkward as an adult on the spectrum, not functioning as well as I hope to, i believe, in time with Dr… Sherman and his team, i will be able to start healing again. I'm broken. I'm trying to survive trauma and the ones who ilove most are being very cruel. I'm grateful for Dr Sherman and his team for being so understanding, patience, kindness and for their attention. I'm finding all I've really been missing on this journey are people who genuinely care about me and what I want to do and helping me find my way to those things. So grateful!

Dr Sherman and the entire office of his are absolutely AMAZING!!! It's not just your typical doctor's office where it's all about payments, the individuals in this office are truly genuine! They take the time to listen… to you 100% regardless of what may be going on. They have helped so many people on the road to recovery!! I did have a previous doctor that I saw for a little over a year that unfortunately ended up moving out of my area and then I found Dr Sherman. I will say this if you are looking to find a doctor and staff that is willing to help you out on your road to recovery then this should definitely be your first stop! All you have to do is pick up the phone and give him a call, that's the first step! And to be honest I'm glad I did!

Dr. Sherman and his staff are all top notch people to deal with and work with. They absolutely do whatever they can to help you. That means a lot to me. Thank you all so much, and keep up the great work! :)

Dr. Sherman is the best doctor I have ever been to, hands down! He really cares and listens to you and does the best he can to allow you to be in control of your recovery! That’s huge for me, bc other drs I’ve been to… just run you through like you’re just a number. I’m so happy I found Dr. Sherman he is respectful and very thorough and takes his time to make sure you know what’s going on and why. I just can’t say enough good things about him. Dr. Sherman listens to me and is very thorough with me as a patient. A life saving doctor that really cares in a world full of one's that act too busy to really take your care seriously and without judgement.

I had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Sherman for the first time yesterday and I can honestly say he’s the first doctor I’ve been to that actually seemed to care. He spent a lot of time with me getting to know me and… also sharing his own journey. Looking forward to seeing him again next week!
