Dr chima is one of the best doctors there kind caring and considerate does his job very well thank you Dr chima for the great care
I have been a patient at this facility for most of my life. After moving away for a few years and returning about a year ago, I have become increasingly disappointed with the quality of care I have received. My first… doctor dismissed my concerns about possible endometriosis and PCOS. Because I sometimes struggle to explain my symptoms clearly and remember every detail during appointments, I was hoping for guidance and follow-up questions. Instead, I felt immediately shut down and unheard, which ultimately led me to switch providers. While my current doctor is kind, I continue to feel that my concerns are often minimized. When I described experiencing severe pain, she repeated it back to me as “mild” pain, and I had to correct her. I also had to push for an ultrasound rather than having my concerns taken seriously from the beginning. I have experienced similar issues with other health concerns. When I came in seeking evaluation for possible POTS, I explained that I was exercising and trying to improve my health. Rather than discussing further testing or a referral, I was told that because I was already making lifestyle changes, a specialist was not necessary. I also sought treatment for recurring eczema flare-ups on my face. I was told a prescription ointment would be sent to my pharmacy, but when I arrived, there was no prescription. After following up, I was advised to simply use moisturizer. While that helped temporarily, the flare-ups continued to return, and I was left without the treatment that had originally been discussed. The overall pattern I have experienced is one of feeling dismissed rather than listened to. Patients come to their doctors for guidance, support, and appropriate evaluation of their concerns. Instead, I often leave appointments feeling unheard, discouraged, and as though I have to fight to receive even basic investigation into symptoms that are significantly affecting my quality of life. I understand that providers must be mindful of costs and avoid unnecessary testing. However, there is a difference between practicing conservative medicine and making patients feel as though their concerns are not worth addressing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future patients feel listened to, respected, and involved in decisions about their care.
This is a very helpful place, takes care of all sorts of medical needs
Excellent and perfestional. Dr are wonderful and considered. Always good experience.
Nurses and staff have all been great but The last two doctors that I have seen in the last two years are by far the worst I’ve ever seen they make me feel like they are only there to punch the clock!!! and don’t really… care about helping me!
I'm 49 years old and I have the best doctor I've ever had, with Dr. Michael Nay. I can talk to him about anything and feel comfortable not being judged. He just sits and talks to you like a friend. It's not a super… sterilized informal conversation where you feel rushed or uncomfortable. I know i get better care because he will just listen before he gives advice. I've brought my whole family. I had concerns with my toddler daughter and complained. I can't believe I got to talk to the director Dean. He told me I always have the right to fire a dr or a pediatrician to find what is best for my family. I honestly didn't expect that and expected an argument or fight. Dean is an amazing director and I love this place. It's so refreshing to be able to talk with somebody when things don't seem right. Feather River is doing something right with their doctors and management. I'm bringing friends and family. I almost don't want anyone to know, to clog up the system, but i would complain in a heart beat, but i feel it's fair to be good to the people who care about their job and are Killin it. Feather River is doing that right now.
Very tricky facility. They act very kind, but do their very best to make you feel unwelcome. The intake nurse is condescending and the "application" process is gruling, and then the doctor was dismissive and abusive.… They do everything they can to instigate an argument by asking questions with sarcasm and accusations. The goal is to upset you so they can claim it's not a good fit or you go away in your own -- all while they smile. They treat you horribly and then when you're justified in being upset they use it against you. "FRTH is required by law to prioritize American Indians for medical services. Non-Native patients can be eligible, but they must go through a screening process. " There is reports of a toxic environment for non native patients and for doctors. It's a horrible place pretending to be kind. Read the reviews and look for patterns.
Staff are funny, intelligent, patient, and understanding!
Super huge shout out to FEATHER RIVER TRIBAL HEALTH 🙌🙌🙌 best dental anywhere around!! I have hated the dentist due to previous issues and injuries, never went to a dentist for 9 years.they understood were very thorough… and knew about alot of precious dental issues and made me feel so comfortable! They are helping me gain my smile back and i Started the journey with tribal health last month and have had some extractions done and overall experience 100/100!!!! If you or your kids want a family friendly positive encouraging safe environment they are your people!!!! They will accommodate you however u need to make your visit and experience rememberable. Dr. Diego and his assistant are the best people at tribal health when it comes to your dental!!!! Thank you again FRTH 👏👏👏👏 P.S I ALSO DRIVE FROM LIVE OAK JUST FOR THEM ☺️
Dental is the best and nicest place
Great nurses and receptionists
I love feather river tribal health :) so thankful to have prc with them and all their departments are wonderful
The only good thing about this place is the pharmacy. In medical they don't listen to your concerns and brush it off as "you're just like that". In dental they dont know how to do their jobs at all. Not only does the… dental department have a hard time keeping dentists, they will only work on the same 2-4 teeth because the ones they DO hire mess up. I have been going to tribal health for their dental department for over a year now and they have worked on the same 4 teeth, each has been drilled at least twice. They messed up so bad 2 of the 4 teeth need pulled, and the other 2 are so sensitive and unuseable I cannot eat on the right side of my mouth and my front teeth. A doctor with a 0% success rate needs to be fired and go back to school. This is not okay. Only trust them with a cleaning. I work with Dr. Vacura which is their lead dentist, and if the lead is this bad I would hate to see the others.
The best doctors I've and staff I've ever worked with in me life, but for some strange reason every time I get used to a Dr. Some how some way they just dissappear this happened to me 7 times in a row ,wow it seems to be… paranormal
I've been coming here for 40 years and the staff is always been professional courteous caring and real you can't ask for much more than that I've been through some pretty serious illnesses and they have always taken… very good care of me here and they care about me here and I care about them in return they're good people that work here I enjoy coming here for care and I feel safe here and that's a plus if you get the opportunity to be seen here if they were to do it you would be lucky and you should feel lucky if you get to be seen here because it's for Native Americans only but they do accept some other patients now which I don't think they should that's my opinion overall it's a very good place for medical care best most comfortable place in town as far as I'm concerned
The sheer ineptitude of this place. I've been desperately waiting for 6 months for referrals to a GI provider for my Crohn's disease. I've seen 3 separate providers here for a referral to a specialist. I have been… repeatedly deceived and made to believe this lack of follow through on my care is my fault. Turns out, this operation never actually went to my insurance for authorization for any of my referrals. Of course they never went through. Of course I never got help or any calls returned. Of course not, they never did their job to get me the help they promised and now that I am going into my appointments so gaslit and frustrated I am in tears by midway through, OF COURSE its all my fault. The last MD I saw was a real treat. I was told again and again the clinic wasn't for white people. The dental, the psych, etc, all in house services are for natives. He told me over and over again that the facility and care within was not for me. But that he COULD refer me out. I assured him that was fine and I just needed help. But help is not to be found here. Accept those referrals are never going to happen. Their effort was so outrageous, the referral tech at the new GI place told me to find a new PCM entirely. Best advice I've heard all day. I sincerely hope that the people who are served by this clinic actually do get good care. They certainly deserve it after the abhorrent history between their peoples and the colonizers that came here. I was assured I could be seen as a patient here, but I don't see the point.
Feather River Tribal health and the people in the medical building are very nice, always smiling and dont have to wait very long to get seen.
Great place, people are the best. I had dental work done Dr. Macias and staff are better than anyone anywhere Thanks
