Social Model Recovery Systems – Covina

I loved the social model recovery rehab in the mountains. So I had high hopes going into there outpatient RBH program. First off they told me if I found a job in the six months they provided housing I would only have to… one group a week. This change the month I started where we had to do groups everyday along with meetings and still maintain the six 12 step meetings a week while maintaining a 10 o'clock curfew. This made it damn near impossible to find work if you were using public transportation. I was also told that they would help with housing even though they had no on sight housing navigator. In six months I passed between four different councelors and two weeks before my exit date they gave me a councelor that was taking off the following week on vacation. When complaing that I had not secured housing they gaslighted me in saying that I should have found a job, telling me "where there is a will there is a way" despite making it nearly impossible to find a job that worked with there schedule. We also had a housing manager that frequently triggered and disrespected clients at our house. Despite multiple complaints by different residents they never once addressed the issue. This program wasted six months of my life and when I finally screamed out of anger and frustration they kicked me out of the house with no where to go.

I would like to acknowledge counselor Brenna Shaw. She is the best counselor, very patient, understanding, and all around a great person. She help me with my steps and gave me a shot at recovery. I would like to also… acknowledge Omni staff. Thank you for giving me a second chance at life and helping me get through my detox. I really appreciate all you guys.

These guys are Hands-On with their approach I was minding my own business in their parking lot with my bags on the street going through hardship I am John representative from the church and social model recovery… organization talk to me for 20 minutes great talk gave me $10 for a meal and went and got me great shoes as my shoes were falling apart 30 minutes direct approach really helped these guys are doing good invited me out to the church for resources

They train and give you so much knowledge, But once your placed on a rehab it's a different ball game .
