Shady, manipulative antagonists: Scamming Medicaid by providing insufficient care—ensuring you remain ill so they can continue billing to generate revenue
My Son 19 went here to receive behavioral health services and experienced a medical emergency right outside their main entrance after his hour long apointment, his ride went inside and asked for help to which they… initially refused and also refused to contact 911 delaying emergency services from responding as quickly as they needed to, the lack of urgency and care they should my teenage boy is disturbing and disgusting and he died at their facility, protect your kids take them somewhere that cares about their life
It seems like your highest priorities now are cutting down on patient transport and staff.Although staff knows I walk everywhere, they arrive with the same greeting every time "I don't have time." Sometimes they can be… talked into a trip, but it shouldn't be a matter of persuading them.Of course, this attitude emanates from the accountants and not your workers. If the psychiatric field had seen this coming in the seventies ,they would have left the field en masse. You worry about my poor defective mind all you want to; your souls are vanishing like smoke.I know you don't read your reviews; I'll be calling Monday morning.
Subject: to Carolina Outreach A Plea for Help - My Mental Health Journey at Your Clinic I am writing to you today with a heavy heart and a sense of deep disappointment regarding the mental health care l've received over… the past two to four years. My psychiatrist has put me through a relentless cycle of changing medications, which has left me feeling like a test subject rather than a patient. I've been misled by what I now believe to be an incorrect and ultimately harmful treatment plan. The emotional and psychological toll of this has been immense. I brought this to your attention over a month ago, hoping for a prompt and compassionate response. The silence l've been met with is disheartening and has only added to my sense of being ignored. I urge you to contact me immediately so we can correct this mistake and prevent others from going through a similar experience. Sincerely
All the staff are Angels. Truly helped me out. Sincerely loving and kind. Beautiful souls. Just be honest with them and be polite. Treat others as you want to be treated.
Been calling for 3 weeks now. No answer and no call backs. This is ridiculous
Worst service but I have nowhere else to go 😤🥴💯
The WORST place you could go for mental health. I was dropped and not contacted by TWO therapists. My medication was sent to the wrong address. It's been a nightmare I don't want anyone else to have to go through. STAY… AWAY!
Carolina out reach sucks. The shaggy guy at the desk is rude. I told him the candy was expired and he shrugged his shoulders . They don’t care about anyone just here for money
This place sucks
I hate this place they suck hope the get closed down
Remarkably unresponsive and careless to answer any questions. Please don’t go here if you don’t have to.
I second that the staff works hard for clients in need that want help
Great place to go if you’re an abuser looking for encouragement or a person with BPD who actually enjoys abandonment. Me ex and I are both separate patients at CO. He is extremely emotionally and psychologically abusive… and his therapist encourages his every abusive move and doesn’t seem to notice when her patients have no remorse or integrity, doesn’t seem to know what a raging narcissist looks like. She encourages him to abandon and toss out a patient of theirs with BPD and if I’m crazy and he’s actually been telling her everything he’s done to me, he should be getting help for his own behavior instead of telling him how to handle A PATIENT OF CAROLINA OUTREACH that sheep’s never met. Me? I have the cops called to my house to take me to the hospital in handcuffs when my therapist hasn’t been answering his phone and could have avoided me needing to go. I get assigned a new therapist every year or less. After about 4 years with them they still haven’t assigned me a DBT therapist. And I’m in my second DBT group because the first group’s therapist, Perry, literally ghosted me and CO told me she had quit, yet I got a group email from her months later. How am I supposed to trust Carolina outreach or therapy in general when I’m being told he’s abusive and he’s being told he’s right? I’m in an absolute nightmare and the people who are supposed to be looking out for my mental well-being, simply aren’t. And speaking as a person who needs consistent therapy, I’m starting to have real trust issues with it. And now I get assigned a new therapist that I have to start from square one with.
UNPROFESSIONAL,WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS. NOT A GOOD HEALTHCARE AGENCY FOR THE MENTALLY ILL. THEY NEED MORE THAN POP UP VISITS. STOP DOING WHATS BEST FOR YOU AND LET THE PATIENT BE THE FOCUS.
If I could give them 0 stars I would. Have never had a good experience here. The staff is rude and depending on who you talk to at the front desk, they give you different answers to the same questions. I also requested… a prior authorization and called SEVEN times to request this be sent to my insurance, and not a single time did I get a call back or did they send the paperwork to the company so I had to pay out of pocket for the medication (over $150/month). Their incompetence and unwillingness to call people back/give consistent answers has caused medication lapses for me, and their answer has always been 'nothing we can do' and telling me that I have been non-compliant because they obviously have not done anything wrong.
Hello, this is real. Carolina outreach has helped me with a 3 month long process if required c overing from homelessness to having a place. They helped me get $4900 for an apartment. We are not homeless anymore. Amanda… Strott worked very hard and diligently and patiently in order to see me through. Thank you Amanda for being amazing and sincere.
I brought someone for an appt first thing in the AM I called because we were stuck in traffic I called 10 times someone answered and I got carolina outreach please hold i waited then called back and got the same thing… but I tried to respond and directly on hold so I called again and spoke over her to tell her we were late because of school traffic Now we are here waiting and it's almost 9am appt was for 8 am we got here about 815am.
I have been going here for over 3 years now. They are wonderful. The doctors and therapists are truly amazing. The only thing I would change is to have an additional person who answers the phone. Lol
My son's doctor is the best, but the receptionist who speaks Spanish is arrogant and refuses to speak Spanish, even though she was hired to be bilingual. They don't want to help you in English either. It's as if you're… asking them for money or their time. I wanted to talk to someone at the clinic about this problem, but there's no one to help me. I tried going upstairs, but it's closed. There's nowhere to ask for help. I hope they respond because they don't even have a way to request assistance on their website. Dr. Mosley is truly a great doctor, but the staff is awful.
They won’t prescribe anything that helps me and they show up to my apartment to threaten me uninvited and won’t leave when I ask them to. They threaten hospital commitment for simply being smarter than them. They told… me to drink beer.
Caring, compassionate staff. A calm environment is key, and these folks work hard for clients in need.
Do NOT use these people!
My family has been receiving services here for over 6 months now for my 6 year old son who is very misunderstood by many and we have had an amazing experience. We are doing intensive outpatient therapy with allissa… alba, Aubrey kruszka, and Allison Morgan and all 3 of them have been absolutely amazing. We had a series of very bad experiences with therapists for my son before this and I had just about given up on getting help but they by far have proved that there are people out there that can help. They are non-judgmental, patent and have been so supportive with everything. They have gone out of their way to help us with anything and everything that may be impacting my sons behavior. I can tell all 3 of them genuinely love their jobs and want to be there and help others. Thank you we truly appreciate the help we have received here.
There is nothing "outreach" about this facility. The building violates multiple ADA requirements. The lobby was filled with several teens signing up for "school meds" they claimed. I assume you can get shady scripts… here seeing as how they charge 450 dollars for a self pay urgent care visit. Last time I saw numbers like that it was for a Florida oxy clinic in a recent documentary. Something is very off about the combo of $ and the clients plus the poor quality building. The profits are not going to offer affordable Healthcare, at $450 an hour something is off for a urban outreach facility right?
Giving them less than average because I have had several bad experiences here and it's worth documenting. After being in their care for 5+ years, I have yet to find consistency. They are constantly changing up my… therapists and doctors. Very chaotic! About the only thing good in their Durham office is Ms. Shameka, a medical assistant. (🥰🥰) Just when they start to win my trust over again, they pull some sort of shenanigan. I'd avoid if you have PSMI.
