Haven't been contacted since a message I posted exactly one month ago. I was told later on the communication issue was from my end actually, and they definitely sent me several communications since then. It was on me.… So make sure you message them, call them, and show up in person. Daily! Actually, showing up in person and saying their lack of assistance over the past months was putting me behind on utilities food and rent and overtaxing other services to do their work for them (they also did not respond to those services) made me immediately get texts again. Showing up in person upset, fixes their phones and email service somehow? Side note, since multiple workers with them have extended or pushed me back into homeless over the years and threatens me with homelessness again, I wouldn't recommend this current version of the for profit service. Hope they fix their phones soon 🙏 TLDR : Most of the staff is abusive, I calculate they added at least 2 years to my homelessness overall by lying about doing paperwork or calling others, and current home is in jeopardy due to lack of a team providing well, any services. I felt like a number and someone else's collected paycheck if I was left to rot on the outskirts of civilization. The only reason I have a home now is i stopped listening to them and got outside services. Please save yourselves and be kind to one another. This world doesnt have to be this bad. Edit: Added hilariously ironic accountability text.

I visited this location today with my boyfriend who was seeking help with medication management for anxiety. As someone who has had my own walk with mental health, I feel more than qualified to speak on this issue. The… psychiatrist was very harsh, confrontational, and condescending. When somebody is clearly struggling, there is NO excuse or reason to treat them poorly, ESPECIALLY as a medical professional who someone is coming to for help. I have never had such a poor experience seeking help for a mental health issue. I sat in the room with my boyfriend while he was on call with the psychiatrist, and the situation was handled so poorly that I left this location very upset myself. I mean it when I say the type of behavior I witnessed today is what deters people from seeking the help they need. Overall, this was a horrible experience. The lady who checked us in was very friendly, but that’s the only positive thing I can say about Carolina Outreach in Smithfield

They have therapists, medical assistants and even doctors. Great place, don't let that random 1 star review perturb you. My therapist is my 3rd therapist now, and easily the best one.
