Wellness Resource Center – Boca Raton Detox and Rehab Services
Wellness Resource Center – Boca Raton is listed as running intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Day programming is scheduled, with evenings spent at home. Anyone unsure which level fits should ask for an assessment rather than choosing from a list, since placement criteria exist precisely to make that judgement.
The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. Medication and talking treatment run together under clinical oversight. Ask what a typical week involves before committing, since the schedule determines whether the program is workable alongside work or family.

Wellness Resource Center – Boca Raton Reviews and Ratings
A review of Wellness Resource Center does not need to be long. If you were a patient or a family member, a few plain sentences on what went well, and what you wish you had known beforehand, will help the next reader.
Very caring staff from top to bottom. You really get what you put into it and the support is definitely available at your fingertips.
the therapists are great especially sandra. miss jen the case manger was great helped me get food stamps the day i got there. vannesse the bht is the sweetest most welcoming person in world and she is very accommodating… to your needs. sam and shapiro and travis are also very great techs and very nice and easy to talk i highly recommend wellness resource center
This review is over due but this place has literally saved my life. I went to Wellness for Mental Health in Jan/feb of 2025 and left may2025. I was scared & shut down when I arrived. Came from a different treatment… facility before wellness and it was a horrible experience, but they were very warm, kind and compassionate to me. I was given the tools and knowledge to heal and build stronger mindset. I could literally feel my self esteem & confidence growing. The therapy I received was 1 on 1 & group. Shevon is a great therapist! I wish I still had him as my therapist tbh. His dedication to his work and his empathetic nature was crucial in my recovery. Sorina and Jessica are like yin and yang. Their teaching styles are different but necessary. They are amazing at their jobs! Then you have Kim…. The CEO, never in my entire life have I ever seen a CEO so involved and actually genuinely interested in the ppl coming in/out the doors. I owe so much to Kim. When I couldn’t find a place to stay once my recovery was over she never let me feel alone or worry that I’d be homeless. She did whatever she could to help me until I was able to leave her facility standing tall with my head held high. I’m so thankful for Kim! She could’ve just seen me as a number, she could’ve just shown face and kept it moving but she showed up not just to the Rehab Center but also to the housing complex as well. She’d stay and talk to each person who needed a word with her. She’s a busy woman but to come to the housing and sit and talk to us and listen to our concerns and or wishes…. I’ve never seen a CEO do that. The out come of these ppl combined has helped my Mental Health Recovery in ways I’ll never be able to express to them. I hope one day I can let them know the tremendous impact on my life they’ve made. I can confidently say I would NOT be here today if it wasn’t for each and every one of them. Others played a role too but those were the biggest players in the roster. Then you have the Tech Vanessa, I’m not sure if she’s still there but if she is then I hope she knows the lives she’s helping too. Her role is so vital and intense. She’s like the heartbeat of the operation on a day to day basis. She’s everything all wrapped into one. She’s so good at her job and she really cares for the people who are there to recover. I was amazed at how she had so much on her plate workload wise and yet still smiled still laughed still talked to you with respect. Housing at wellness can be chaos sometimes depending on the group of ppl staying there but she handles all the moments with class. Her ability to defuse any situation is remarkable. I know she was a worker and I was a patient but I considered her a friend during my stay there. I didn’t know a single person who didn’t like Vanessa. Omg I can’t forget Donna! That spicy woman is the most interesting and amazing person at housing. While Vanessa handles alot Donna is right behind her. I miss Donna so much.. She was all about following the rules & demanded respect back. Now I’ll speak on the facilities…. From the Center to the housing it was always clean and accessible. The apts are very nice and welcoming. Updated too.. Listen, if you take this place seriously and give yourself a chance to absorb everything they teach then you’ll get better too! You gotta want it tho…. It’s more addiction based but there’s enough mental health stuff to atleast help build you back up enough to continue your recovery once you leave. They’ve gotten rid of bad employees, the medical staff aren’t up to par, the psychiatrist is still my DR tho. You go on trips a lot, every time I had an issue w/ another client they’d defuse the situation quickly. If you get into other ppls business then you aren’t focused on YOUR recovery, don’t worry about ppl relapsing just pray they keep trying to get better. That’s what counts. Dont judge. This place is what it is because the ppl are great and have compassion and empathy. Not many ppl out there these days that are like that. I 1000 % recommend this place.
If you or a loved one are concerned with addiction and seeking a lifelong foundation on sobriety, let me recommend the Wellness Recourse Center! I was a client there for severe alcohol addiction. Alcohol was literally… killing me. My wife, after a lot of research, was given a recommendation for the Wellness Center. Here is where all her questions and concerns were answered. Here is where she felt I was going to be in a safe and caring facility with experienced therapists. I was scared, did not know what to expect, I felt alone. My treatment started immediately. I was introduced to my therapist, Jamie, and I was with many other clients with the same and/or similar addiction issues. I realized I was not alone and my fears subsided, and this started my lifelong road of recovery. Through the guidance, understanding, persistence and knowledge of Jaime, who helped me understand my disease, helped me to see I was capable of a new and better future. Shout out to Meghan and all the other therapists! I was at the center for 65 days, and I have been sober now for 112 days and counting. I have never felt stronger, healthier or happier. Wellness, Jamie and my wife saved my life. UPDATE When I first wrote this review, I was 112 days sober. Today, I am proud to say that I have reached 785 days sober, and I can honestly say that the Wellness Recovery Center continues to be an important part of my journey. Recovery doesn't end when you leave treatment, and neither has the support I've received. I still attend the monthly alumni meetings, and I remain in contact with many of the therapists who helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. They have never stopped caring, and I know that if I ever needed guidance or support, I could reach out to them without hesitation. The foundation they helped me build has changed my life. Because of the tools, encouragement, and compassion I received there, I've been able to stay committed to my sobriety and enjoy a life that I never thought was possible. To anyone reading this who may be considering treatment or wondering if recovery is possible: it is. I will always be grateful for the role this Wellness Recovery Center has played in my life, and I cannot thank the staff enough for helping me begin a journey that continues to bring hope, healing, and gratitude every single day.
Review from Glenn Edward McKennie Jr
The therapists there were incredible, especially Shevon he’s amazing. Jennifer the case manager handled everything amazingly. Could use some more structure there but the community is everything and I don’t regret coming… here at all!
I feel led to leave a review because I’ll have 6 years sober in recovery this coming fall and my life has just completely changed since. If you don’t read anything else, read this: you have to want to get sober to stay… sober and considering it was my 1st time dealing with addiction and getting sober, I very much so wanted to get & stay clean. It’s a very nice & clean facility and had mostly supportive staff. I was here during Covid, 19 years old, so it was definitely a unique experience… not a lot of trips out besides groceries, and I felt very trapped and at times discouraged while in there. I’m sure that’s changed now that interaction restrictions have lifted. They repetitively said “statistically only one of you in this room will stay sober” - I was determined to make that me. Proud to say it has been me and I’ve stayed in touch with a handful of people, one of whom has also remained sober (beating the odds, go us). While at Wellness I did extensive trauma therapy (EMDR, CBT) and met with a dietician for my ED, which all helped a lot. After my 110+ days here, I entered a DBT program with a local therapist which only progressed my improvement. I stayed at Roseway Halfway for several months before moving out (female only, highly recommend Megan’s houses as well). I’m back in school for nursing and no one can believe I had a past addiction. Don’t get me wrong, it was not all sunshine and rainbows. Most days were extremely hard and very emotional. In PHP I was allowed a 15 min phone call from the landline and there was always a line. In IOP I got an hour, sometimes two, of screen time on my personal cell a day. I won’t lie, some days it felt like I was making no progress. It’s hard when many people are negative. It’s like a job. 8am-5pm therapies with a few breaks in between. I knew that being there and being sober was progress even if I didn’t feel it. I became happier upon entering halfway but I got the basics down here. More about my stay… There were people from 18-65 years old ranging from issues with addiction to eating disorders to mental health. You learn to gain independence responsibly while still being monitored. You get to shop for your own groceries and cook for yourself. I was given a $75/week grocery allowance per person and was allowed to combine with roommates. Do your own laundry. Group and individual therapy holds you accountable. Most of the fellow patients were very friendly and supportive. I know I wasn’t the easiest patient to have but ultimately I have to be thankful for the opportunity I was given because I’m so grateful for where I’m at now. I no longer take any medicine I was prescribed upon admittance nor receive extensive therapy and I’m happily flourishing. I’m taking off a star because at the time of my stay some of the vans were outdated and seatbelts didn’t work. I believe they replaced them. Also, some of the staff (like 2 people) seemed very miserable to be there and were rude. Everyone else was kind and positive. I do wish they were more encouraging about us staying sober but ultimately they were not inaccurate with the stats - and if they hadn’t been so blunt, I don’t know if that’s something I would have strived to achieve so hard. I’ve heard horror stories and success stories but overall I would trust Wellness with yourself or your loved one. Not every patient wants to be there or stay sober which I can tell some of the bad reviews stem from. They can’t keep you chained down and sometimes things happen. Like I said you have to want it. You can’t let other people get in the way of your sobriety. But it’s really not a poor facility at all - or at least wasn’t when I attended. That’s just my experience. While attending I never thought I would say this but I’m grateful for Wellness.
Excellent staff , very caring!!
This is one of the best places I've ever been. The staff is great everyone there truly cares about the clients. They take their time to listen to you and help you with anything you are going through. Wellness Resource… has saved my life. Thank you for everything. The CEO Kim is one in a million!!!! I've never seen a CEO care about what we are going through. Thank you so very much. I'm so grateful that I got the therapist I got. Her name is E. She worked with me through all my years of mistakes and drug use. I am so thankful to God for leading me to this beautiful place. I love you guys and you will always be close to my heart.
I want to preface with saying I am over 3 years off my DOC😁 I found my way eventually NO THANKS TO THIS PLACE. This place is a dark spot on my recovery journey. I went here years ago and randomly remembered my… experience there. It sucked so hard. It was very money driven. Ran us in circles over money. The therapist Bill specifically LOVED saying how affordable their rooms were in PHP when I literally went to a cheaper place before that. At that time I was court mandated and they often told me I wasn't forced to be there but would deny me when I would actually try to leave. I was shamed in group settings more than once by the toxic community present at the time regardless of the topic. I even experienced bullying and got an unfavorable nickname. I ended up relapsing while in PHP here(big surprise when this is the environment, right?) and the community got really critical of me like they aren't a bunch of addicts too. It's like that group of people got inside the bubble and forgot how addiction worked. I live in Philadelphia now with everything I could ever ask for and I am genuinely glad I will never have to set foot in or even see this building again👍
Been here twice, wouldn’t go again and I’ll explain why later. But it was a place when I needed it! PROS- BHT’s are amazing, Vanessa does so much and Donna is amazing, SO SO SO much love for the both of them. Gracie,… Sebastian, Sam, Mike, Luma all incredible. It just sucks they’re understaffed, but the ones they do have are super good people. Michael the therapist is by far absolutely incredible and really knows what he’s doing. His groups are incredible and the best, there’s a lot to learn and he is so intelligent. He deserves so much more credit than he’s given. Kim the therapist is super amazing too and has a great personality, she will give you a laugh when you need one. The case manager Jennifer is so sweet and helpful and was really there for me. Whenever I needed someone to talk to, Michael, Kim, And Jennifer were all there for me through so much. The clinical director Nyca, and CEO Kim are very involved and seem to really care about the clients there. CONS - the doctors don’t listen to a word you say and the nurse is useless, the medical team is a complete joke and waste of time and money. My first time there if a client relapsed they’d immediately be kicked out or sent to detox, but the 2nd was a different story. Clients would go out and get high not come back that night then pop back up the next day and nothing would happen and they’d stay. I saw it happen multiple times. I don’t know what happened with the lack of accountability and consequences. The reason I would never go back is therapists talking about current or past clients to current clients, and their family members is inappropriate and a HIPPA violation. I recommend to an extent, it depends on who you are individually…. The staff, your individual therapist, and honestly the group of people or “community” that is there with you…. But anywhere you go that can really make it or break it for you. I personally would not go back but that’s because of things I was told therapists were saying about me after I left. Some groups were helpful (Michael’s every single time!) others were pointless and a waste of time and could’ve been better organized. Vanessa, Donna, Michael and Kim all need a raise!!
I just want to say thank you to all the staff and CEO/Director for this place. It saved my life and im beyond blessed.
Wow all I can say is wow ,this place was amazing,,the staff out of this world.they really do care.my therapists Sam was so amazing ,she truly saved my life and I will always be grateful to her.Ms.Vanessa the supervisor… is one of the best ,these 2 lady's played a big part in my recovery..Thank you wellness
Have severe ptsd, staf Anthony and eric retraumtized me by reaptedly breaking into my room flashing their torchlight in my face, and yelling at me to pee for them
This place helped me in ways I can not put into words. Def recommend for any one struggling with addiction or mental health.
I'm sharing this under a different name, but trust that my experience is real. This facility is MUCH more addiction oriented than mental health. (However, during my stay, at least 4 people had relapsed while still in… the program.) I was there for mental health only. I was told from the beginning that I'd have help getting a new ID and vocational rehabilitation so that I could get a job and work towards independence after treatment. I never had help with either of those. I spent two months asking staff about it, and they just kept saying things like, "We're getting that started, things are busy right now." When I was only a week or two away from discharging with no real plan for afterwards, my therapist told me, "Frankly you haven't done anything to work towards your recovery." I would NOT have spent two months at that place if I wasn't TRYING. Are we kidding?? When I told another therapist of how none of the staff were listening to my concerns or reminders for help, she said something along the lines of, "Well what have YOU done to make these things happen?" UM???? She said "You need to take accountability for your part." UM?????? I was there with no money, no car, no family nearby, nothing. One bag of clothes. How was I supposed to get anywhere to do anything? I said, "I keep being told to take accountability, but nobody here is taking accountability for the fact that they didn't do what they promised." She said, verbatim: "That's life." I walked out crying. There were delays in ordering my meds two different times. One of those times, I became su¡c¡dal. I was told by a tech, "Try to watch some tv and relax." The medical provider tried to encourage me to go to the hospital psych ward. All I needed was my meds. The incompetence is reeeally something at this place. I know of one patient who also went without their antipsychotic meds for about a week, which was really concerning for them. My therapist argued with me once about my diagnoses, claiming one of them wasn't real. I told her exactly when and who diagnosed me. She spent 10 minutes of my 45 minute "therapy" session looking through my records to disprove my statement. I told her it was in her own file. She finally found it and goes, "Oh...there it is." LIKE I SAID. Not to mention all the frequent yelling from Dona first thing in the morning, giving me anxiety attacks, and cursing when I told her I needed a moment to calm myself. She lacked professionalism and bedside manner, but nothing changed the whole time I was there. I'm feeling emotional just thinking back to this time... This place unraveled me. I had made amazing progress at a residential facility before going to Wellness, and this place undid so much of it. It makes me sick. Several good friends I made there ended up relapsing after discharging. This place does not have actually fully qualified staff. It's not just about having a degree (though I question some staffs' credentials), but knowing how to deal with people. Knowing how to handle human emotions. Knowing how to be organized. Knowing how to listen. How to be compassionate. How to take accountability. This place was a joke. Wish it was at least a funny one.
CEO Miss Kim ,Miss Jennifer my caseworker , Miss Serena, Miss Sandra and Miss Africa were all awesome and most importantly the techs they are the heart of the program Vanessa, Miss Donna and Gracie are the leaders of… wellness behind the scenes I'm very thankful and pleased of there help with my recovery here, thank you so much to all the staff God bless
They are way understaffed. The vans are gross and have no A/C. In Florida 15 people crammed in a van at over 100 degrees. It’s crazy and inhumane. They let people steal with impunity and then have the nerve to blame the… victim. . Don’t let the website fool you. It’s not nearly as nice as they present. The people who disrupt everybody’s therapy and make the most drama get extra privileges. This place is a joke. Think twice before coming here. I mean it. Not just a disgruntled client. This place detrimentally hurt my mental health. And the CEO and the program director could care less. Just sign the paper before you get to class so they can get paid. THATS WHAT THEY CARE ABOUT. This is for everybody who works there except Sarina, Miss Kim(the therapist) and Vanessa the lead tech.
If I could I would leave negative stars instead of 1 star. I was there years ago and I still have PTSD from being there and how they treated me. I went in VOLUNTARILY for mental health support but I was stripped of all… my rights- my medications, my ID, my wallet. I even got my "privileges" taken away when I signed up for church because I didn't agree with what my therapist was saying. I was forced to do very strange "therapy" with mazes and role playing. They sold me into this beforehand saying it was for mental health and I would have my own private place. It was actually an addiction treatment center not a mental health program, and I was forced to share an apartment with 3 other women. One of the women shared a room with twin size beds and bathroom with me and stole some of my belongings like shoes, pants, sunglasses, and my grandmother's ring. My family was called and brainwashed and told them instead of 24 days, I needed at least 6 months there. After a week I felt threatened for my life, so I had to leave on my own during church. I had to just walk out and keep walking until I found someone that would help me call the police or at least my family. The driver that took our group followed me as I walked which further terrified me. He left the rest of the patients behind at church who were already having sex behind the church and during the night at our sleeping grounds. I kept walking until I found a home with the light on and I begged the women to please call the police for me. She did and a bunch of officers came and verified that I was in fact there voluntarily, and they called my family and they picked me up. I had to leave all my belongings behind including wallet, license, check card, clothes, shoes, sunglasses, and something irreplaceable - my grandmother's gold ring with my initial on it. Nothing fancy but it was all I had left of her and it broke my heart to leave it in my room. A few days later I went back to get my things and they didn't want to give them to me so I called the police again and then they got my stuff together. I was so frazzled at this point, I didn't notice right away that my ring was gone, along with my other belongings I just mentioned. Once I realized it, I couldn't go back there it was too traumatic. To this day, I cannot get Inpatient treatment for my mental health because I have PTSD from those events. BTW, I'm in Healthcare so I understand everything that was wrong that they were doing. Please don't send your loved ones here especially if they are going in voluntary or need mental health support. They sell it as a nice package with a bow but once you are locked in there it is something completely different.
DO NOT go to wellness resources. The place is extremely rundown. I was there for less than 2 hours, I paid money upfront since my insurance didn't cover. They tried to charge me for a full day at $2500.00 I am still… trying to get my money back. Really do your research when going somewhere the places don't look anything like the pictures. The people that answer the phone are a sales team. Beware!!
Great staff here! Keep up the great work everyone
Dan and the other staff members are very caring, supportive and professional in every way!
