Hamilton Center Inc – Spencer

Guy at front desk is underqualified for the skills necessary to take customer service calls of the folks struggling with their mental health and help them coordinate care or even initiate referring them to the proper… people who can help. Talks in a monotone apathetic tone and is flat and short and comes off as intentionally unhelpful like he had a bad day and he's mad you called. Whenever I asked him for more then the bare minimum (schedule or cancel an appointment), he would start projecting a rude passive aggressive tone trying to intimidate you off the phone. I honestly don't know how people like this get hired. It's like they put on a different face during the interview and then they get the job and start being the jerk they have always wanted to be. Then they assigned me with a student even though the type of help I need is not for somebody who is not seasoned. I'm not trying to be a student's Guinea pig. I'm not dealing with seasonal depression. And sitting with that 20 something y/o student and trying to have deep serious conversations about severe trauma and midlife crisises was painful to say the least. I needed help with serious life crisises that she has never dealt with. Nor advocated or helped someone through and I was not ready to be all of her first mistakes in a time of crisis. Her mannerisms and her bedside manner left much to desire to say the least and the psychologist that she was working under would stand in the hallway outside her office door and just loom at me with a forced smile whenever I would come and go into my sessions. The search continues. At 45 years old. The system is flunked out!

Terrible service. Had 5 appointments and therapists only showed up for 2. No notifications from staff for cancelations. Have to find out appointment was cancelled when I showed up for the appointment. Had heard bad… things about this place and can verify they are all true. Super disappointing.

I dealt with a lovely woman who was as helpful as I could have hoped for.

Friend recommended yet never able to get anywhere. No help at all just caused more issues than worth

Don't go here for help with your mental health. They will only cause you more issues. I have tried and tried with this place and I cannot. I truly feel bad for the patients that have no other outlet than this center. No… one is on the same page, they go through providers quicker than anything I have ever seen. I feel like my therapist just was trolling social media the whole time while having me word vomit for 35 minutes. That is just the one who remembered who i was each time. I could go on and on about the incompetence of this establishment, but I will save everyone time.This place will make you feel crazy, best advice...STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

I would not recommend calling here they are rude no manners and no understanding
