Where to start… This is quite the recovery facility. Not only does it test your fortitude and determination for recovery, but helps to foster stability, happiness, mental health, self worth, sobriety, fellowship, and… the pursuit of a recovery based future. The relationship between a corporate entity and the intimacy necessary to provide to all walks of life trying to recover from substance abuse and poor mental health can be a brittle and fragile bond. What works for some will not work for others. This fact makes running an establishment such as RCA Capital Region quite the challenge. There are people who have the gift and ability to help everyone strive in recovery at this facility though. One who stands out the most is Brittany Rieman. She has an astonishing story, that has given her the ability to relate to any and all patients within RCA, past present and future. Brittany is strong willed and proud of the things she has overcome along her journey. This gives people hope both in and out of the rooms, all across the board. It shows the tenacious way to be when trying to over come something such as substance addiction. Or poor mental health. The fact that RCA provides a counselor/therapist to their patients is a hugely valuable and important aspect to recovery. Strong mental health is the beginning of a successful journey in any aspect of life. Pastor Kenneth White is one of the therapists on staff at the Capital Region and he leaves a lasting impression on his patients as well. He relates to them in so many ways both on a personal and clinical level. Ms.Rachel and Mr.Tim are two group instructors who apply the information to their own struggles and experiences which makes the education personal and meaningful. Finally Ms.Tammy, this is a woman who genuinely cares about the struggle and experiences each and every patient has which are all their own. No one knows what it’s like to live in someone else’s struggles. Within RCA though you are surrounded with people who double as both peers and mentors who’ve made some of the same mistakes you have but also offer a different perspective of the same or similar situations. Experience is one of the best educators there is, the curriculum shared here in the respective styles of group instructors leaves a lasting impression for those who are ready to let go of their old habits and way of life.

Im really grateful for my experience at Recovery Centers of America – Capital Region. The residential program gave me the structure I needed, and my experience with the outpatient program has been great as well. Tammy,… Brittany, and Rachel have been fantastic coordinators. They’re friendly, responsive, and make the whole process much easier to navigate. I also want to give a special shout-out to Cassandra, an excellent therapist in the outpatient program. She’s easy to talk to, genuinely listens, and creates a comfortable environment to work through difficult things. Overall, I’ve had a great experience with RCA Capital Region and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality treatment.

I was a client at RCA Capital region and I was thoroughly impressed with the treatment. This was the second facility out of 10 I had previously been to, that actually helped me create a foundation and stay clean. They… also linked me up with another facility to help me overcome all trauma from childhood. I would recommend this facility any day of the week. I am now coming up on 17 months clean and I could not have done it without RCA. Thank you to all the staff and counselors for their hard work and dedication to the clients. What I didn’t like was the jail house clients coming in. I felt like they weren’t there for recovery, but a get out of jail free card. Some of these clients were rude and aggressive, especially towards the women. I feel like a facilities like this, should only serve those that want to help themselves.

The only reason I’m giving 5 stars is because of Tammy Marinaccio. No rehab is perfect, and there were certainly quite a few setbacks, but I honestly wouldn’t recommend going anywhere this woman isn’t working. During my… detox, I personally watched Tammy stop multiple people from walking out the door including me. Her kindness, understanding, and genuine compassion are unmatched. She doesn’t just work in recovery she truly cares about the people going through it. She’s also an incredible administrator who knows how to handle problems and get things done. Tammy is the reason I stayed and completed my program, and I’ll always be grateful for her support.

Recovery Centers of America has the most caring staff. They provide many opportunities for residents to participate in activities for their spiritual, mental health, and physical well-being. Once the program is… completed, they host many alumni activities and meetings to help people stay on their recovery path while developing real relationships and strategies for the future. I highly recommend their program!

My review is not so much on RCA but for the person that helped save my husbands life! Tammy M was his therapist there the few times that he had to unfortunately make his way back. She knows what she is doing! She not… only did the very best job for him but also kept in constant contact with me which is important. As a loved one it kills you inside to know they are there struggling and you don't have a clue how they are doing. Without Tammy I would have been lost but so would he! She truly is the backbone of RCA! She leads with her heart and that is something you don't always see in this world of recovery.

I have been to RCA capital three times. I came the first time bc I was sent there. The other two times, I specifically went back there after my first experience, knowing I had much nicer, more comfortable, better food,… etc etc options. I came back for one reason, Tammy. My first visit I remember talking to my family and other support network and told them after just a few days and saying my assigned therapist Tammy is already one of, if not the most important people in my recovery journey. This place has many many flaws, I have seen and experienced things I never should have but I still came back for Tammy. I am scared to see what would happen to this place without her. She does everything there, and goes so far outside her scope of work for everyone who walks through those doors and for her fellow staff. She is what makes this place run plain and simple. She treats all patients with genuine love, concern and care they deserve. Spends (a lot) of her own money doing things to make patients feel special and loved when they feel and are told they are the complete opposite. When I was at a point where I felt I wasn’t worth anything, there was Tammy there to let me know that I am completely worth recovery. She went out of her way to connect with my family and took as many calls, texts, sessions as they wanted or needed bc I, and my family were worth it to her. I don’t know how she finds time to do what she does at this place. Went something went down outside of work hours, Tammy, not the ceo, not any executives or administration showed up but she did….every time. And she was visibly bothered that we had to have that experience and she was gonna stop at nothing to fix and MAKE SURE WE WERE ALL OK. She easily, hands down should be running this place!!! That’s their best chance of actually becoming fully functional and being what it really could be across the board in all areas. Here’s why…her story. If you know her story and have seen her in action you know there is nothing she can’t do, because she doesn’t ever stop trying do better and be better for other people who she KNOWS need her to step up. She is to this day there for me, my wife and parents. That is just what she does…makes an impact where it is most needed. And rca needs, in a major way, someone in charge that can make that impact. I’ve seen two ceos in there but I never really ever saw them. I made my voice heard but they didn’t listen. No action. No change. That wood not happen with Tammy. She will stop at nothing to realize her calling and this is it. She has demonstrated it for years, beating the odds at every turn and saving lives all along the way while other people get the credit and paychecks she deserves. I will not be back to rca bc my life has changed dramatically and I feel my life has been saved and any drug or alcohol would send me right back and that has everything to do with Tammy. Thank you for loving me and everyone else when we couldn’t love ourselves..I never am ceased to be amazed how incredible her story is and she keeps making it better and better and doing more and more things to add to it, because again, she won’t stop at anything. Please save your deeply flawed rehab, that means well, but has so much work to do by giving Tammy the opportunity to make this place what it could be across the board. It will be the best rehab option anyone has if Tammy is given the ability to make it what it could be!!

I came to RCA at a time in my life that I basically felt was the true definition of rock bottom. I can truly say that the staff at this place, unlike any other program I have been in, absolutely care about restoring… their residents to a place where their lives can be productive again. If it wasn’t for them I don’t know where I would be today. Actually I do know where I would be, and that’s in an alley or behind a building somewhere smoking my life away, hopping from house to house looking for someone that would afford me a place to stay… or sneaking a nap in someone’s shed or garage. RCA began my true journey to recovery, they gave me a better understanding of what recovery truly means and I can truly say today that I am in recovery. My disease (SUD) is truly in remission and by the grace of God will stay in remission, one day at a time Thank you to Brittany, Regina, Melinda, and all health care staff and resident staff members who gave me a better perspective on my life - Kito -

From the start, I felt supported by a professional and compassionate team that clearly understood the challenges of recovery. I appreciated… the structure of the program and the access to medical and clinical support throughout my stay. The facility was clean, well‑organized, and created an environment that felt safe and focused on healing. What stood out most was the emphasis on preparing for life after treatment.
