North Country Community MH – Charlevoix

I have been trying to get my child in to do an autism evaluation. I was pointed to this company and was actively working with a case worker for over 6 months. Home visits, in office visits. To be told a referral was… sent to the dr office. To keep calling to see where my child sat on the waiting list. When I called the first few times, they said they never received a referral. So I would call the case worker back right away and tell her what I was told. And she assured me that everything was fine it was sent, her supervisor helped her send it in. So I kept calling every other week. To a month at a time. To be told hey we will give you a call in July 2026. July passes. It is now August 19 2026. I call for an update on where he is on the list at the dr office. I get a call back say hes not on a list I never got a call because they never got a referral. What do you mean you never got a referral I have been working with his case worker for months on months she said she sent it in. Nope nothing. So I call these guys back just to be told because we no longer have medicaid our case was closed and no there was no referral sent because the case worker didn't understand the process.....excuse me what?????. Please tell me I'm not the only parent? And why did I not get a CALL in regards to this? You had his file you could see what he was there for. And you don't double check a referral is actually sent? So now I have to call the dr office. And start the process all over again, in hopes the list we thought we were on isn't too long. Because we've been trying to get him evaluated for over a year. Im very disappointed.

If I could give this place less than one star, I absolutely would. In the long run they do more damage than good
