Calhoun County CMHA – Battle Creek Detox and Rehab Services

Recorded services at Calhoun County CMHA – Battle Creek are intensive outpatient and outpatient care. Structured outpatient runs to a schedule while people return home in the evening. A proper assessment sets the level rather than leaving it to guesswork, and it is worth asking for one explicitly.

The listing records a single focus rather than combined treatment, so anyone needing both should confirm what is available. The facility address is 175 College Street, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49037. Battle Creek sits in Calhoun County. Provision extends to the wider area, so check the journey before you set off. Summit Pointe of Battle Crèek Michigan had me arrested in handcuffs and I was placed inpatient at Kalamazoo behavioral health hospital for 11 days with no prior warning and using the word Karma for a reason to arrest… me. They took the word as a threat and it was signed from the court, in which I never went to court. What about due process ? They forced me to take medication after 11 years of being off medication and functioning well and aware. I said No. My traumatic brain injury with 12 days in comma is 34 years post injury but yet they still misdiagnosed me with unspecified bipolar and schizophrenia in 10 minutes. They did not look at my medical history at all. I have not had depression thoughts or actions for 11 years and I was given an injection that was given to me 34 years prior and the shot is on my allergy list. I am a college graduate with a degree in facilities maintenance and have had over 25 jobs ranging from construction to working in an Alzheimer's unit. They have now threatened me again to be arrested if I do not take the injection again like i was administered at the hospital and it is an allergy om my chart. I was drooling for 2 weeks after I got home from receiving the first shot. I need legal representation , a voice, accountability and Justice. I would appreciate any guidance. The civil rights department of the Justice department out of Detroit is starting an investigation. How do these professionals live with themselves after the treatment and lack of respect from them I received, just laughable. Shame, I am dumbfounded by the lack of professionalism and respect given. A form of retribution is warranted I believe. a Complete Embarrassment!, they should be ashamed of themselves. This is the reason for assuming i was threating them. SEVERELY unprofessional staff at Summit point first step. Patronizing and Ego driven employees who should not be dealing with people's mental health until they have the ability to master themselves 9/15/25, 7:07 AM You sent It has been 34 years since my TBI 9/24/25, 2:59 PM You sent Please contact me 9/25/25, 5:11 AM You sent Karma 😁 9/29/25, 4:52 AM You sent What a waste of resources, your workers and 2 police for using the word Karma. Honestly thinking about receiving care somewhere else I highly suggest you follow up on the ada a service dog does not have to be trained by a licensed trainer there is a thing called owner training you do not have to… be a licensed trainer you do however need a letter from a licensed doctor or psychiatrist saying that this dog is trained to perform tasks for this person's disability I tried to get a psd letter and they wouldn't do it said my dog has to be trained by the state of Michigan I looked it up that is a big ass lie told by an idiot who doesn't know the ada

Once you get past the intake, there's no level of care or concern for anyone. The patients are just numbers. The staff working at Summit Pointe is very talented at dehumanizing the patients. Unless you're in an absolute… crisis and have nowhere to turn, stay away from Summit Pointe.

Summit Point CMH sent me a hour away to a nice residential facility to help me with meds and talk with but my mom has a illness that I could not be that far away, I guess they didn’t care, so be careful where they place… you., God Bless!

I went there for help. The medicine I was prescribed, started giving me chest pain and making my hand and arm numb when I called with the issues I was put through to a prescription refill voicemail. They didn’t seem to… care about my health issues. They’re medicine they prescribed was giving me wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. I would recommend life ways in Jackson first.

0 points should be an option here... not only was my OUTPATIENT med review rescheduled for over a month out, Tammy the RN reviewing my meds was beyond impersonable.. she was rude from the start, it was my first time… ever at summit pointed, she asked why I hadn't already had an appt....um, this is what I was given. Ask yourself. She then did NOT keep track of what i was telling her in the least bit and kept cutting me off.. she straight judged me to my face, got annoyed that I smoke marijuana and told me that my Ativan for severe panic attacks prescribed to me by a psychiatrist was unnecessary and that someone "my age" should really just try therapy....according to her, verbatim "that's what will truly help any anxiety you have" ma'am, I have been diagnosed with severe anxiety, debilitating depression, BPD and bipolar 2.. expierenced several medication overloads and am trying to get one the right track to maintain my mental health and here I'm fighting for a NP to understand and not judge... idk, be a caring person to someone who just had their THIRD failed attempt at su!cide and not judge them and make them feel nothing but negative. I was hesitant enough coming to Summit Pointe due to hearing very mixed things, more bad than good... Hindsight I suppose, regardless the staff needs an audit on professionalism and bedside manner.

I have had a very good experience with the psychiatrists here. They keep me involved with every step of my care and help explain meds and let me choose what I go on.

I was experiencing terrible terrible headaches for around a week straight after getting on new medication doses. It was terrible to the point where I could not move or do anything without searing pain, I missed one of… my college classes and I was crying my eyes out. I called Summit Pointe and asked what I should do about it and they said that they would call me back. I clung to my phone for hours in pain, and I never received a call back. Sometime later, maybe a few days to week, my mom called me and said that I got a refill on meds despite me not calling for one. I called Summit Pointe to ask why they gave me a refill when I didn't request one and I was told that it wasn't their problem and to just call my pharmacy. I called my pharmacy and they had refilled medication that I had recently gotten off so I told them to cancel it, since I wasn't taking it anymore. I figured it was just a mistake. Two days ago I called my pharmacy to refill my meds, one of them I was told to call Summit Pointe for (which I usually do not have to do) and so I went to Summit Pointe and requested a refill. Yesterday I got a call back and I was told I had been taken off of the meds that I have been on all of this month, and they never told me. I was supposed to revert back to my old meds and take them 3 times a day. Summit Pointe never chooses to actually communicate with me and I am so pissed off. Summit Pointe has constantly frustrated me, especially with medication. I feel like they hardly communicate with me. I seriously have anxiety attacks almost every time I leave after speaking to the people there. I am just so exhausted, please let this improve in the new year.

Customer service is snarky and talked with and entitled attitude. I have been going here for years and no mater the time of year, time of day, the customer service in person and over the phone is always the same. People… with an attitude of not wanting to be there and like your questions are stupid. If you don’t know how to talk to people, I really suggest a better job. If you have anxiety about making appointments, dealing with the front desk, and constantly, this place is a nightmare.

Do yourself a huge favor and never come here. These doctors are so ignorant especially dr gandy. All they do is rip you off of medication that you've been stable on for decades causing severe stress and more… complications. This place needs to be shut down and the doctors licenses need to be taken. I would give zero stars but unfortunately I can't.

Genuinely the worst clinics I’ve seen. They overmedicate you like you’re a Guinea pig and genuinely do not care about their patients. I was put on highly addictive medication that has given me irreversible side effects… and any time I bring it up I’m given a condescending response. One of their providers refuses to believe that the medication they’ve prescribed is causing weight gain and was extremely rude when confronted about it with concrete evidence. My most recent experience was yesterday and her behavior was unprofessional and insulting. It felt like she was reading off of a cue card and was very disrespectful and disengaged throughout the entire conversation. She was yawning and rolling her eyes as if I was inconveniencing her with my mental illness that she’s paid to treat. When I asked about potential autism testing, she blatantly told me that she isn’t going to look into it and to do it myself. She kept her face in her laptop and genuinely did not listen to a single word I said. Summit pointe has a lot to be desired and they should be ashamed of themselves for their lack of respect for patients. All I can say is if you can’t have any empathy or compassion for the patients in your care then you have no right to work in this field.

If I could give no stars I would. This place is careless with their internal handling of customer care. They are happy to get you in to get that money from your insurance but lack to provide structurally organized… continuous care. This has happened 3 times to my family, 3 different cases and they fail to do their part then close your case and then tell you you have to start all over. Wow real great for people struggling with mental health just keep them sick and give them false hope 🙄. This place is the biggest joke to the mental health care system I've never experienced. Please do not think I am referring to the therapists or the psychiatrists here, I'm only talking about how their facility is ran. I would actually recommend a few of their doctors if you could get their services through a different practice not Summit Pointe.

I would not recommend going to this place to seek therapy or anyone compassionate that truly cares. I left feeling 10 times worse than I did going in as a therapist reads off the screen and types at the same time.… There’s no sense of compassion no sympathy no nothing almost as if you should feel wrong for feeling negative, I could tell she wanted me out of that room. She wanted to Google my symptoms and then tell me to take a random medication after talking to me for 10 minutes knowing nothing about me at all. I could tell she was a rookie in this field. I knew right then when she dismissed me, I wasn’t coming back people like this is why people kill themselves they want someone to really hear them not just hear them if you understand what I’m saying and they don’t care if you wanna kill yourself and feed you medication so they don’t have to deal with you. Those are the type of people were dealing with her. They genuinely don’t want you to get help.

I have been a patient for over 6 years and I'm still Homeless. I can't get the care that I'm approved for to actually get the providers to help. I don't know if anyone that needs mental health care should visit due to… lack of pretty much everything expect Funding and paper work. you want to do some paper work go to summit point and they will charge your insurance 20,000 a year and make things very difficult in yiur daily.
