I remember 2 years ago I came here 2 times on different occasions for the whole program requirement I can tell you these two staff members should be fired one is that short jenny guatemala who has attitude and looks… like she regrets her life I never liked her and so did many around not like her I remember our last names were similar and she said no relations and I said clearly we look nothing alike she looks Guatemalan i don't and am not and our features aren't the same 2nd was that lady who said she has polish roots she was horrible at her job and she would use her feelings when giving feedback not going by a clinicians standard I remember talking about a personal issue I was going through and she started to give me horrible feedback trying to make me seem like the bad guy on a situation I wasn't you should never have a job in the mental health field and once I was super depressed and she didn't bother to get me inpatient I told her days after my inpatient voluntary visit and she said you should've done it yourself horrible just horrible person in and out I've been to programs where they don't hesitate to put you inpatient or talk to you caring about what's going because they want the better for you this place should be shut down and rebuilt also the two psychs Job and shar one is a man other a woman horrible attitude they don't listen well they gave me meds that didn't work and diagnosed me incorrectly I later got that fixed when I went to a different place that listened and got my actual diagnosis based on what I was going through.
Bizarre environment. Patients actively disrespecting therapists to their faces. Clients begging for lighters in the hallway. Institution doesn't even have a proper psychiatrist. Absolute clownshow of an IOP Program,… "therapy" offered worsened my symptoms. If you are ever to go inpatient, specifically request NOT going here.
What I experienced in this program was not just ineffective, but actively harmful. There is a clear ideological pattern at work: • Diagnosis is used instrumentally — primarily to justify medication rather than to… understand the person. • Skills-based therapies (CBT/DBT) are reduced to didactic handouts — delivered without relational containment, guided practice, or meaningful integration. • Group formats are prioritized for throughput and efficiency — not for individuation, depth, or restoration of agency. • Insight is reframed as resistance — particularly when an individual articulates a coherent understanding that challenges the prevailing model. This structure creates a situation where human suffering is managed rather than understood, and where compliance is subtly valued over meaning-making. What is especially troubling is how outcomes are interpreted. Reoccurrence rates for hospitalization appear high, yet when individuals leave treatment and struggle—as is common with trauma-related conditions—the failure is quietly reframed as theirs. The implication is not that the model was insufficient, but that the individual “didn’t apply the skills,” “wasn’t ready,” or “lacks insight.” This framing carries a moral undertone, as if relapse or destabilization reflects a personal failing rather than a predictable consequence of a system that does little to restore agency. For people whose primary struggle involves trauma, loss of agency, and a reactive nervous system, this approach is not neutral. Over-medication paired with shallow skills education can reinforce helplessness, solidify illness identity, and retraumatize individuals through institutional dominance. A program that pathologizes insight, removes epistemic authority, and prioritizes efficiency over human engagement risks doing more harm than good. It’s not surprising that many people are turning away from such institutions. Systems that repeatedly externalize responsibility while internalizing blame cannot claim to be healing. They are managing symptoms while perpetuating the very conditions that drive people back through their doors.
Please, please set up your system so I can finally pay my bills online. I beg of you. I love you all I truly do. But my only choices being sending my payment in or paying over the phone is such a monumental pain. Also I… adore Mary Anne and Dr. Henry with every fiber of my being. Thank you both for your kindness and compassion. You're both so, so incredible and I'm so grateful for the work that you do. Really though Rutgers, let me pay online!! Please!!!
Samantha, Amanda, and Phoebe were amazing to talk to. Group Therapy was amazing and I could relate to my friends at UBHC Monmouth Junction. I was able to understand myself more and what they teach at the partial… hospital was very helpful. Thank you!!
The Dr took me off my Xanax because he wasn't comfortable. He prescribed a medicine that made me sick , Zoloft. He ordered Klonopin and it was out of stock indefinitely. I called back and he was so nasty. He lied and… said he sent it to another pharmacy and it wasn't there. I have Seizure and he made me go turkey. So I could have done Heroin. I mean business. Dr Matt whoever he is, should not be a Dr for women. He is rude, judgement. I'm reporting everything to the Medical board. He won't discriminate another black female. I will find a good lawyer
jenny is the worst counselor, everyone else was amazing. amy and phoebe were some of the best teachers and i will forever be greatful for what i learned from them
Best place ever for rehab
Darlene is horrible very rude
Would not recommend if you really need help. They dont listen to what you believe your needs are. I found the doctor very rude and uncaring. Worst experience ever.
They help you in any occasion that your dealing in life. If it's mental, or even if it's drug related. I'm happy.
